  1. Got loads of 'claims' I could make if that's what they're up for. In fact I already made one on another thread when I made a 'claim' that broonaldo robs charity cans. Can give them as many as they like since they appear to be in the business of 'claims'
  2. Footballers in general don't have a great reputation for intellectualism and in broonaldo you have a Forrest Gump of footballers. He has already been wound up by Barton and if on the day in a more open game than he has had since he came to Scotland Joey can start giving him the run around while quietly winding him further well. Stupid is as stupid does.
  3. Reason for optimism. They're entirely unused to a team coming at them in Scotland and the only match I have seen them play in when a team did go at them was in Israel where they ended up pinned right back and could have lost by more than 2-0 We're going to be going at them too largely because we don't know how to do anything else and since they too have a suspect defence we can score so it comes down to they're going to have to score more than we do. All this waffle about 7-1 etc. is exactly the same tosh we heard before the cup semi. We can win this and all the pressure is on them from all quarters not on us. I'm remaining confident but we mustn't be too despondent and think all is lost if this doesn't go well for us. The season is young and we wont hit our stride till we're heading towards the second quarter.
  4. I would say the near future.
  5. Believe me i'm not trying to annoy you either and am somewhat surprised that you felt as if you may be annoying me by simply offering an alternative view but thanks for that consideration.
  6. Is the proposed English league reformation a 'rogue league'? And what would it matter even if they were? UEFA competitions mean nothing to them. If we were to go there and the earliest possible time span would be starting in 2019 then it would take a minimum 4 more years to reach the EPL making it 7 years before UEFA competitions would ever be a factor for us and in that time I suspect many views of cross border football will have radically changed. There are such proposals taking place all across the continent even more so since the clear intention of a clique to make the Champions league a private club. UEFA is going to have to fall in line and accommodate what the clubs want. Their views are becoming more archaic and out of step with each passing year.
  7. By all accounts their defence is as suspect as ours which gives me confidence that if we can score through a packed park the bus style defence we can score through theirs too. The Israelis hit them for four over two matches and they're not footballing giants are they. On an aside it's going to be comical to see what actual footballing giants such as Barcelona front loaded with Suarez, Messi, and Neymar will do to them. Rod Stewart better turn up with a hankie for another greet.
  8. Well presumably he's out of our game then? Waghorn has been out for weeks with just a minor hamstring issue right?
  9. I don't watch their matches in general though I did watch a lot of the match in Israel once I learned they were down 1-0 and being played off the park.
  10. Well if we're to judge by recent form and the fact it's on their patch they have to be favourites but big deal. I will still be looking to turn them over and if it doesn't happen well so be it. All I want right now is to be top 3 minimum at the end of the first quarter because I feel we're in a team formation/gelling period with some to come in from injury lay offs and all things being taken into consideration i'm 'optimistically' looking for the team to really begin hitting their stride going into the second quarter.
  11. Apparently what happens to us is that they are immediately phoning the police during matches the moment anything they consider offensive is taking place. I'm sure two could play that game.
  12. If this is the type of game they want to play well it isn't difficult for any Rangers supporter to watch their matches on TV and lodge complaints every time with the police about 'offensive' sectarian singing, banners etc including chanting supporting an outlawed terrorist organisation all of which are certain to occur in their games. I find THAT offensive.
  13. While I agree with you and Boabie that there might be such a sanction required try as I might I can find absolutely nothing to support that in any way. Everything I could find that had any relevance to this indicates that any association can invite any club they wish into their league providing that team isn't already a member of another association which we would not be if we resign. All that says is they they control their own competitions with no mention whatsoever of having any say over who plays where. Imagine a new club based in Southern Scotland were formed who were at their formation a member of no associations and they decided they wanted to play in a Northern English league after being invited to do so. I can see absolutely no place for the SFA or UEFA in that and if we resign from SFA auspices we are no different.
  14. Isn't it the case that players who have no team can be signed at any time? Thing is all things being equal an educated guess might be that if they were of a quality that could be useful to us they wouldn't be teamless at all.
  15. Totally agree and since none of us have seen Senderos kick a ball for us we can make no comment on how he will work out. As far as the next league match goes time has run out for us and I'm beginning to be of the view that the first quarter in this our first season back in the SPL is effectively a team formation period for us and all I'm now looking for in that first quarter is to be minimum top 3 at the end of it and within respectable range of the top. We now have the squad we're going to have to work with until at least January and I'm looking for the best to start coming out of them going into the second quarter.
  16. Well again I simply don't believe the SFA have any power over football aside from members of their association which if we resigned we would not be. You're suggesting you know something that no one in the football league in England appears to know about for one thing. They're talking about inviting Rangers into their system when they have no idea that's impossible for some reason? Others are talking of a North Atlantic league including Rangers when they have no idea the SFA is a dictatorship that decides who can kick a ball anywhere in Scotland? That's illogical. And again if you have anything that can suggest you're right aside from you just saying these things I'm open to having my mind changed. But as it stands I would still absolutely believe that the SFA are absolutely nothing outside members of their association which we would not be if we resign.
  17. I have no idea. I'm not suggesting he is glaikit. LOL His 6th language will be Scots.
  18. What in the world did all that crap at the end about a footballer playing for Arsenal have to do with Rangers?
  19. He's going to need to learn what glaikit means because in the still for that video he looks somewhat glaikit.
  20. Only the law could stop us playing football at Ibrox and even then they would need to jump through hoops with some compelling reasoning and quitting the SPL wont be compelling to the law. If the SFA wanted to stop us playing in the Scottish cup I suppose they could but particularly given recent events who cares? The SFA have no power over who plays football where unless it's one of their competitions. If we get out I couldn't care less about the Scottish cup, would rather play in the FA cup which gets you directly into the group stage of the Europa league for one thing which the Scottish cup does not. And if we get into the English setup where we could be earning more money in a year than in almost a decade in Scotland we will also likely end up with some of the very best Scottish talent which currently goes to the EPL. I somewhat doubt the SFA would want to turn it's back on that. I believe we will be getting out, the only question to be asked is where we will be going and as it stands just about anything would be better than where we currently are under the auspices of an entity who think advertising boards are more important than the safety of Rangers employees simply doing their job.
  21. Baffling amount of money to throw away on a 29 year old who is allegedly not good enough. Listen to the opinion of a French journalist on this BBC audio link. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p046gbhc
  22. Why would they sign young players on a 12 month contract?
  23. You all understand that hibz grunts deny there were ANY assaults on ANY Rangers employees? Couple of example comments about frustration that the hibz board wont come out and deny these assaults. Remarkable. I sometimes wonder if they really do believe that then further wonder what sort of crazy you would have to be to do so given there is actual photographic evidence plastered all over the net. Doesn't seem to sink in if the board do as they want them to then they will also look crazy.
  24. You think declining to uproot say a 5 year old who is settled in his first year at school to take him to a foreign country where he has no friends and can't even speak the language is 'lazy'? I deem it a common sense family decision. You understand that the bulk of Europeans speak some English and before you start suggesting the British are too 'lazy' to learn their languages think about HOW they learn it. If you lived in a world where Hollywood was replaced by French language films being distributed in all your cinemas and on your TV screen and every time you turned on the radio you were bombarded by songs in French do ya think you would start to pick up on it after a couple of decades of that? That's exactly what it's like for Europeans. I have spoken to Germans who told me they learned English from listening to British and American bands plus going to the cinema to watch Hollywood films where they see the actors speak in English but have a subtitled translation on screen. Almost all computer programming languages are in English as are almost all scientific publications where papers can be submitted for review. English is THE international language so I would be highly reluctant to take any children still in the language formation stage to a non English speaking country and that's not lazy. That's a concern for family.
