In a list of the richest leagues in the world the English Championship is 8th while league 1 in England is 26th and the SPL 32nd. That says it all, even league 1 would be an improvement on where we are and the Championship a massive improvement while the EPL would be top of the global pile. Even the financial basket case of Greece is above the SPL.

No. His first game after the injury came in the final.

They think they're the cock of the walk because they got good results against a Motherwell who even by the accounts of the press the next day basically just lay down to them and who have 1 win from 4 and an Aberdeen side who also have 1 win from 4 against a Partick team lying second bottom of the table and who were ejected from Europe by Slovenian minnows who have a ground capacity of 12K Part timers from Gibraltar turned them over while the Israeli side played them off the park and came within an inch of ejecting them from Europe with only a missed penalty saving them from that ejection. We only need to turn up and do what we;re capable of to shake them out of their superiority fantasy and what a time it would be to do it. But again as I have previously mentioned this isn't the be all and end all for us. There should be no mass despondency if things go against us because then it's only what everyone but us expected and this is just the beginning of a long haul in which we will become stronger all the time. On the other hand if we turn them over then it's a disaster for them. I still firmly believe a run of good results and a level of consistency will come in time to make for a good season.

I always feel as if our songs are more akin to historical artifacts which have little to no relevance in the present day while theirs is current and in support of an outlawed terrorist group responsible for mass murder which their crowd effectively glories in. But in saying that I wish ours would stop to give them NO puerile excuses to attack us on that score. Imagine the equivalent in the US. An American football crowd singing the praises of al-qaeda and bin laden while glorying in the mass carnage of the WTC. How would that be viewed? And how would it be viewed in England if there were the same thing happening at English football grounds with crowds singing pro IRA and and anti British songs?

That's not Gordon it's Dorus de Vries who Rodgers is suspected to fancy in favour of Gordon apparently down to thinking that de Vries has better distribution especially in terms of having the ball at his feet. They're trying to copy our style of Wes playing it out from the back.

It's all the more absurd when you remember the screams from certain quarters a few months back when Jason Cummings was the 'victim' of a prank happening at pools everywhere on a daily basis. Cummings was Not a punch thrown but it's an "assault" and a near drowning. Also notice how they remember who we are sporadically.

Pace may be the key given that we think they will give us space to run into others don't so for that reason this might be the ideal time to deploy the pace of O'Halloran which could also give him the opportunity to settle any doubts about the wisdom of spending a relatively significant money on him. Hopefully we might also see Barton come on to a game and in some respects he's going to have to given his activities on social media from day one plus I would like to see Rossiter in there frustrating the hell out of them with his ability to win a ball from anybody who comes his way. Kranjcar only needs a little space to do what he does best. It's disappointing that we have to go into it impeded by a somewhat broken strike force with the injury to Waghorn which to me even though he appears to be over it means he cannot possibly be anything like as match fit as we would want him to be and Dodoo as well who also has strength and pace which could bother any team. On that front step up Joe Garner who has the opportunity to become an instant legend and i'm pretty sure he will recognise that and get right in about them.

Not that high balls are a big feature of our game but if this guy is any good at coming out to collect them it might not be much of a strategy anyway. Unless Rodgers is a midget the guy looks like a giant literally head and shoulders above him.

Some interesting stuff raised along the way I either wasn't aware of or had forgotten. Sky offered a TV deal which they turned down as 'an insult to Scottish football' I think largely because they were offering more to the EPL. Sky politely accepted their refusal and instead of offering more left them with nothing by going off and making the same offer to the Championship in England where it was gleefully accepted.

This isn't about walking away from anything but a certain path to European irrelevance which we are in fact already on and that isn't what I want for the club. Far from running away from anything it's about someone coming along and saying come with me and your club will earn as much money in a year as you would in almost a decade where you are. That's not running away from anything at all that's walking towards an opportunity that could put the club back on the European stage as a credible force. The fact what's being left behind is a poisonous shithole is just an added bonus but if we could make that money in the poisonous shithole I would say stay right here and rub it in their faces. Leaving this sewer for better pastures is in the circumstances the very best way open to us to rub it in their faces as we leave them behind to stew in their own bile and become even more irrelevant without us than they are now.

Hopefully a sign that we play better in a match where the opposition are doing something other than packing their box. It was mentioned earlier that they're just amateurs but that's not accurate. Linfield are semi professional exactly like the imps of Gibraltar. And does this mean Brenda will get the message and park the bus.

The SFA is the controlling body of the international team and it's not unknown for people to decline to play for the international team because they feel they were screwed over by the SFA. Duncan Ferguson for one who only ever played 7 times but could have played dozens if he had wanted to.

How do you know what it's like if you haven't watched it? LOL I like it because I haven't been in the UK in four and a half years and it's good to see some current TV from home.

Is there anything this poisonous cretin becomes involved in where they don't want him to go? -
From the last time he played against them on their patch back in January just before joining us.

I'm wondering if O'Halloran will get the nod because he apparently has a history of giving them problems.
-
I doubt he will feature there either and his injury aside since he has played more football in the past 4 weeks than Waghorn has we have to doubt him too. A pattern of bad luck robbing us of a fully fit Waghorn for key matches and I include the cup final in that where even though he played he had been out for months prior to it. If we feel others who have been playing in recent weeks still aren't 100% what state is Waghorn in?
