That's not the real Rangers twitter feed. This is. https://twitter.com/RangersFC

Well I could say you're forever making complaints while being blind to anything else but I wont because it's not my way. And if Rangers were to go out and win next week I wont depict you or anyone else who had previously expressed a denialist view on such an outcome being a possibility as making excuses regarding their previous opinions. I'm not here to be confrontational/abusive with people who have different opinions. And since you now just demonstrated an inability to respond to anything I just said in my previous post I will actually leave it that because it's patently going nowhere. And though I fully expect you wont let up on not offering any rebuttal to anything I just said in that previous post that's also OK.
-
What you have to understand is that I don't come in here initiating confrontation with anyone expressing a different view. If I say i'm confident about next week and someone else says otherwise i'm not going to say you're on drugs. Then when someone makes comparisons to events elsewhere i'm not going to start swearing and oddly demand what relevance that has. Everybody is making comparisons all the time in every field of discussion. You're doing it right now when complaining about Rangers recent track record. That's comparing it to the recent form of others which incidentally aside from one is no worse than any other. You're coming across as being contrary to everything I say just to be confrontational and again I will mention the false accusation of me starting drug/drinking taunts as an example of that. And further I think you don't appreciate that this constant pushing of anyone making 'excuses' for anything at all is in itself unnecessarily confrontational when all we are doing here is dissecting matches and looking for where it went right or wrong. Can you ask for better than that?
-
I did leave it that. You're the one continuing it and turning it into something else. You want me to leave it that but then keep prodding to carry it on. Try ignoring this as conveniently as you ignored my evidence that I don't start conversations about drug taking which you were then happy to leave at that with not even an acknowledgement you were wrong to make the accusation. You can respond to what you want to but if I do it's not leaving it alone? Why don't you just leave it that?
-
Man Utd isn't the point, it could have been Arsenal, Chelsea, Aberdeen, anybody. Comparisons are the point and comparisons are absolutely typical in every field of human activity.
-
Go back and this time look harder to see what it was responding to. Hell the quote it's responding to is right there WITH the post.
-
Well if you now don't get the validity of comparisons I think we're done even though it seems to be valid when people want to compare Rangers resources to others in the SPL.
-
If I liked it I would be the one starting it which I never do so your reasoning on that issue is already off centre. And another thing I wont do if they win is come back proclaiming anyone who had taken the opposite view is obviously on drugs. I will leave that to any who like it.
-
I see Man Utd are now 7th in the EPL. Obviously means they can't get into the Euro spots now because there are only 33 games left and the manager should be sacked.
-
Well if we want to contrast some of the views we see regarding Rangers it means United are shite since they have a far superior budget, Watford are superior to them and they should sack the manger because that will change everything.
-
OK if you think we aren't you have been lobotomised. Is that the way to carry these differing views on? That's the level of discourse you prefer?
-
We're obviously on differing wavelengths entirely unconnected to smoking anything at all if you think Aberdeen are anything anyone should be afraid of. Maybe you have an alternate reality of this awesome team you can bring to the table? Even today they appear to have been lucky. Shots: Dundee 7 - Aberdeen 7 Shots on target: Dundee 2 - Aberdeen 3 So they had 3 shots on target and all of them went in. You think that's typical of a football match? I will have a few glasses of what you're drinking pal.

Celtic grope hell: 'I was betrayed by the club I love'
JFK-1 replied to JFK-1's topic in General Football Chat
It has nothing to do with Barton as such and there has never been any implication that it does. The Barton reference is nothing more than a comparison of current issues at either club. As in would we rather the press were talking about a hotheaded player or a an attempt to cover up sexual abuse within the club. And I'm guessing everyone but apparently you got that. -
I suppose there are always differing opinions on anything at all because different people see different things concerning the exact same event. You can ask the cops about that because they're well aware that when interviewing totally unbiased eye witnesses to a crime it's common for them to come up with wildly differing stories. In the case of yesterdays match you don't see what I see. What I saw was an impressive performance I don't see matched by anything but 1 other in the SPL. And let's take it to next weeks match. Let's say it all clicked and they came away with a 3-0 away victory for example. Would that mean they were lucky? Or would it simply mean that they played in a similar fashion to yesterday and this time the ball started going in the net? I have no fears of going to Aberdeen. If you take us out of it they are still far and away firm favourites for second place and I believe we are comfortably better than they are.

I'm guessing if it had occurred at Blantyre Vics it may not have rated a mention on the Record either but rightly or wrongly when it occurs where it did you will find that it becomes newsworthy. -
They better tell the TV companies there is no Old Firm and that they are big enough all alone, i'm sure TV would be interested to hear about that. Another thing that I personally am interested in is how many league matches did they charge 50 quid for on their own? Did they charge 50 quid for a local Derby game with Partick? What they're doing is humoring the crazies in their following. The same crazies who want to 'kill all huns' and think hanging effigies is acceptable behavior at a football match.
-
I think the type of commentary you're speaking of is remarkably similar to the press who have an interest in being as sensationalist as they possibly can be even when their sensationalism stretches common sense credibility to it's limits. A current headline after todays result. It was nothing like dismal. It was frustrating for us but for a neutral would have been a scintillating match to watch.
-
Fair comment but I think sorting out any problem of stuttering against lesser opposition is a lot easier to resolve than if they couldn't compete with the top sides and that was only one match out of 5 played so far which doesn't yet suggest a pattern for the season.

Knifeman spotted at scene of assault on Rangers striker’s wife DETECTIVES probing a brawl at a restaurant that saw Rangers striker Kenny Miller’s wife slapped in the face are hunting a knifeman spotted at the scene. Trouble flared at Da Luciano in Bothwell, Lanarkshire, just hours after last week’s Old Firm clash. Up to 20 people were involved in the fracas that spilled out into the trendy Italian venue’s car park. Specialist Police Scotland officers are now examining CCTV footage of the bust-up amid claims a man was seen entering the venue brandishing a lock back knife shortly afterwards. Miller, who was a substitute for Rangers’ Premiership clash with Ross County yesterday, had to rescue wife Laura after she was slapped in the face during the ordeal. The assault – which followed a torrent of abuse aimed at the striker after his side’s 5-1 drubbing earlier that day – left 28-year-old Laura with a scratch to her forehead and a black eye. An insider revealed: “The CCTV was taken away by officers on the night. After everything had died down, a male was seen coming back armed with a knife. “Clearly the police want to identify the individual and track him down. “It was chaos – all hell broke loose. There was a prolonged scuffle, punches were thrown and Laura was grabbed by her hair. “The police were called, but by the time they got there, it was all over. “The CCTV coverage is good and the images are clear. The officers will be wanting to speak to anyone involved, including Kenny and his wife.” Police Scotland made a plea for calm before Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off, which was the first league fixture between the sides in four years. Miller, who has played for both halves of the Old Firm, recently moved to the area after selling his home on the outskirts of the city to ex-international team-mate Robert Snodgrass. The incident at Da Luciano started shortly before 9pm last Saturday. Laura was pictured on the day with Gers captain Lee Wallace’s partner Stephanie Moffat, 28, and Amy Wilson, who goes out with former Ibrox midfielder Nicky Law. It’s believed a daughter of business figure Hugh “Shug” O’Donnell was also in Da Luciano when the trouble flared. Mr O’Donnell previously owned the venue but sold it in 2012. Two years later the restaurant – a favourite haunt of Old Firm players – was named best newcomer in the Scottish Entertainment Awards. Mum-of-two Laura later posted photographs to her on-line Instagram account showing the cut above her eye. It’s also believed she lost a pair of earrings worth a five-figure sum in the incident. On Tuesday, Laura posted a photograph of her ear accompanied by the caption: “My substitute earrings are not very cool”. A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “At around 9.15pm on Saturday September 10, police were called to a report of a disturbance within a restaurant on Silverwells Crescent, Bothwell. “There was no ongoing disturbance on arrival of the police, however inquiries continue.” Miller’s agent refused to comment on the Da Luciano fracas. The incident is the latest fallout from last Saturday’s showdown at Celtic Park. Celtic launched an internal probe after two blow-up sex dolls in Rangers scarves were hung from a stadium upper tier. Extensive damage was also caused to a toilet block at the ground. https://www.sundaypost.com/news/knifeman-spotted-scene-assault-gers-strikers-wife/

Think Everton would need to be nothing less than spectacular to outshine Liverpool. All Everton victories in the current campaign have come against teams you would expect to be bottom half at the end while Liverpool have defeated two contenders away from home as well as handing last season Champions Leicester a 4-1 hiding.
-
I agree, 9 points from 18 is far less than we expect but again even at that we're still just a point off second place so it's not as if top 3 is disappearing over the horizon. We have a far better team than the results have merited and it is going to improve. You think we're in a crisis? What are Aberdeen in? A purple patch? They're probably as good as they're going to get while we are going to get a lot better.

Celtic grope hell: 'I was betrayed by the club I love'
JFK-1 replied to JFK-1's topic in General Football Chat
A general football forum? It's not in Rangers chat. Aren't they a football club? You imagine the people on every other club forum wouldn't see what this nonsense had to do with a football forum if it were our football club involved in such a thing? I have to say it's not immediately obvious to me why you would think that. -
Exactly, while not even playing well. As for today the exact same performance would have been labeled dazzling and Warburton getting it right if not for fractions of an inch and County riding their luck to an incredible degree. If MOH had got his header just a fraction of an inch lower. If Hill had put his header just left of the defender who cleared it off the line. If Windass had passed to Garner who was standing in the middle for a tap in and more. And as you say despite all that we're a mere point off second place. It's going to start coming together. The odds alone dictate it has to. We're away to Aberdeen next week. Caley who are lying bottom of the table not a point off second and who would swap places with us and our squad in a heartbeat went there last week and came away with a draw. I'm convinced we're well better than every team in this league but one and it will start clicking.
