Windass looking like he still has a niggling problem.

First half stats Possession: Rangers 70% - St Johnstone 30% Shots: Rangers 11 - St Johnstone 4 Shots on target: Rangers 6 - St Johnstone 1 Corners: Rangers 8 - St Johnstone 2

Hearts 1-0 down at Kilmarnock. We must win this to take advantage.
-
Suspect temperament. Sometimes a bit of a wild man on the field though some might just call it aggression. Does a lot of diving that will likely pull him cards.
-
OK let's get it going now. Well done Garner. Took it well.
-
And Hearts currently 1 down at Kilmarnock.
-
That was absolutely pathetic. He just stood there looking like he had time to comb his hair with with opposition players all around.
-
Nice run from Windass but he needs to learn how to hold it up and pass.
-
Are St Johnstone trying to mimic us? They got an injury in the warm up.
-
Hopefully he can get one or two tonight to get his 'confidence' up and running and if he did surely that would get him a start on Saturday too.
-
This the general view of Preston fans who obviously know him well.

RANGERS: Foderingham; Hodson, Kiernan, Hill, Wallace; Halliday, Holt, Windass; O’Halloran, Garner, Forrester. SUBS: Gilks, Tavernier, Crooks, Dodoo, Miller, Waghorn, McKay. http://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/four-changes-saints/

Surely O'Halloran should be given a run on the basis of knowing them inside out. He trained with them for years and he knows who he can skin and how best to skin them. I always felt as if that were one of the reasons there was a tendency for a player a club had sold to come up against them with his new club and give them a bloody nose.
-
All very well but if that's the road we're going down a job must still be found for Walter Smith and who better to conduct the post match interviews with Chris Sutton in Walters own inimitable style.

I would settle for the ball hitting a passing pigeon and nestling in the net as long as we get 3 points. Then another 3 from Kilmarnock with hopefully Hearts slipping up too and we're getting there if we can get on a solid winning run because the rest are pardon my French absolutely shite if Aberdeen are the best of them. Right from the early weeks I always said I didn't think we would start clicking till we got into the second quarter. Even better if we get a run in motion now before the second quarter starts. Beginning with St Johnstone we have a 5 game run of what I would deem to be eminently winnable games before a double header against Hearts away then Aberdeen at Ibrox. If we can win all 5 of those games while I doubt those two will win all of their next 5 we will be back in a good spot. 26/10/2016 – 19:45 – Rangers v St. Johnstone 29/10/2016 – 15:00 – Rangers v Kilmarnock 05/11/2016 – 15:00 – Ross County v Rangers 19/11/2016 – 15:00 – Rangers v Dundee 26/11/2016 – 15:00 – Partick Thistle v Rangers Three at home two away to teams we really should beat and if we can take full points from that which as I said I think is perfectly doable we will be in a good position before consecutive games against what will likely be the nearest challengers and i'm looking to give the sheep in particular a good hiding at Ibrox. 30/11/2016 – 19:45 – Hearts v Rangers 03/12/2016 – 15:00 – Rangers v Aberdeen

Well if it's deteriorating to let's see who can be the most absurd I say bring back John Greig as manager and why not add him to the squad as well.
-
If it were against us I might call it a soft penalty too but the fact is the Accies guy is in the box and is being hauled by the shirt from the moment the ball is struck. He's trying to fight him off but can't get away from his grip on the shirt. He probably didn't need to go down but he is being blatantly fouled and might have felt he had to go down to illustrate what was going on.
-
According to the record it was a penalty and not so much about contact as foul play.
-
St Johnstone don't look like any great shakes to me and that was a home match for them. All we need to do is play efficiently and they will be beaten. Notable that their first goal came from what should have been an easily defended set piece and the second was a penalty. We should win this comfortably if we simply maintain concentration and play as we can.
-
Did he have anything like that to say about the foul awarded against us that stole them a winner?
-
That just makes it all the more laughable doesn't it. In what other league or alternate reality is finishing 15 points behind the winners last year and 17 points the year before called being title contenders? They were never anything better than second place contenders since we weren't in it and they're going to be put back into their accustomed spot of third place contenders at best. The two years prior to the last two they finished third and eighth respectively.

As good a time as any to hit some form and take a result from this to match them on points. And if we do that how significant is it that we have been labeled as playing poorly, under performing and so on while no one has said anything of the kind about the sheep. Which to me indicates we just need to hit the form we're capable of to leave them trailing in our wake because they are already as good as they're going to get.
-
And it's not as if the sheep totally dominated and lost out as often happens to us. Accies more or less matched them. Possession: Accies 48% - Sheep 52% Shots: Accies - 9 - Sheep 10 Shots on Target: Accies 4 - Sheep 4

Full time Accies win 1-0
