All i'm looking for this season is a Europa league spot and despite inconsistency we're already well on course for that. If we're crap then Hearts are even worse and Aberdeen are no better and as it stands they're all we need to be beating to get that Europa league spot. We have to persist with the Warburton style of play because it's already got us into a comfortable position despite the inconsistency along the way and that very style of play is going to be even more potent as the managers 'project' progresses and better players are gradually added to the mix. Aside from the Europa league spot a good Scottish cup run pulling the exuberant ones at Ibrox along the way and blowing their exuberant arses right out of the water.

The SFA Has To Respond To Allegations Of Impropriety Concerning The Issue...
JFK-1 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Yeah but to make it all the worse for the obsessed they're no doubt largely or even entirely proddy reptilians. A good kafflick can't a break from the Illuminati and their reptilian secret agents. -
RC were bottom of the league yesterday morning and still managed to put 4 past fourth equal St Johnstone in Perth. They didn't get any past us and that's a St Johnstone who have drawn with Aberdeen in the league and narrowly lost to them by a late goal in a league cup tie. A St Johnstone who have played and beaten Hearts twice. There are at least as many positives as negatives. The team are dominating possession and creating a host of chances but not putting them away on a regular basis. All things being equal we just have to start putting them away sometime.

Well I wouldn't deny having certain concerns but from that list there is only one above us and they're only barely above us. Do they all have concerns?
-
It was a dominant performance simply lacking more goals. There were mere inches or even less in getting a touch on a ball that would have guided it into the net on multiple occasions. If that had happened the spectator and performance facets of it would have been more or less the same only the overall result would have been different. Would it still have been crap?

I suspect a David Icke follower. No doubt some of those refs are lizard people. -
Need to start scoring first half which would likely have opened them up second half instead of having to find a way through their entire team in the penalty box. Though in saying that a good number of balls were flashed across the goal area but no one connected.

I get the feeling that Garner is a goal avalanche waiting to happen. He's a bundle of aggression noising up opposition defenders and getting into positions to score. I read reports before the match where Hartley with a side on a 2 game winning run was threatening to "test them" What a load of waffle. All they tested was spectator patience with an entertainment killing display of park the bus.

An aside is that Dundee now replace Ross County at the bottom of the pile. Impressive win for County away at St Johnstone where not only did they win 4-2 they actually earned it having more possession and more shots than St Johnstone did. Might put some more perspective on our own struggles to beat County on their own patch.

Without a doubt the problem is getting the ball in the back of the net because statistic wise everything else seems to be impressive. Chances are that we have more shots and infinitely more corners than any other team in the league.
-
Possession: Rangers 70% - Dundee 30% Shots: Rangers 18 - Dundee 4 Shots on target: Rangers 7 - Dundee 1 Corners Rangers 14 - Dundee 3 We badly need to start turning that into goals. Do that and we will be on the way.

What a relief.

It means as I said that we need to convert more of the chances we create.

They have been collecting Euro money these past few years while we haven't and that's the bulk of the financial advantage. And talking of the Kilmarnock game last night which I didn't actually see judging by the statistics there isn't such a great difference as you might think. Our visit to Kilmarnock on August 26th. Shots: Kilmarnock 8 - Rangers 19 Shots on target: Kilmarnock 2 - Rangers 7 Corners: Kilmarnock 2 - Rangers 8 Their visit to Kilmarnock last night. Shots: Kilmarnock 9 - Celtic 16 Shots on target: 2 - Celtic 6 Corners: Kilmarnock 3 - Celtic 5 So as you can see from that we more than matched their attacking stats and got only 1 goal just as they did. We simply need to start converting more chances and showing some consistency. Plus stop losing preventable goals and we will be right up there in minimum second. It's coming, i'm still confident of a comfortable minimum second place finish.

Beginning to have real fears that Rossiter will never shake off these problems. It has to be unusual in one so young to be out for so long so regularly with this type of complaint. He had the same kind of issues at Liverpool before joining us.

Nothing like the media perspective of gloom, doom, disaster.

A religious division isn't just a rumour it's a reality, playing it down or pretending it doesn't exist to any degree worth bothering about is no strategy at all. And as for the 'haters' you think such fanatics will be assuaged in any way by pretending this division doesn't exist or trying hard never to acknowledge it? This cartoon is parody, like the Pakistani shopkeeper in still game. You think still game gives ammunition to 'haters' while reinforcing a 'perceived division'? If anything given that this is an effectively meaningless parody cartoon I think you may be the one doing more harm than good giving the 'haters' ammunition by behaving exactly as they might alleging that this mild parody is a problem.

Can only be a good thing if our academy players are competing at as high a level as possible. Both they and the club will much more quickly get a better idea of their potential and natural level.

Transfer Rumours and Deals - Winter Window 2016/17
JFK-1 replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
Waghorn almost looks like he's on steroids right now. If he can get his shooting boots on he should be bulldozing clean through any opposition to score. -
Some discussion of that already been going on in another thread you may be interested in. Starts at this point. http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/vb/showthread.php?81601-Transfer-Rumours-and-Deals-Winter-Window-2016-17&p=654163&viewfull=1#post654163

Transfer Rumours and Deals - Winter Window 2016/17

I think it's preferable that he ignores it as Kenny Miller did when being harassed by some idiot in a supermarket but in saying that he's only human and though I personally would try to ignore it I don't know if I could every time. It amounts to hard to take abuse if some little prick says your shite at a job you're a professional in. And since I would be aware that same little prick is trying to impress his prick friends I too may be tempted to confront him. But at the same time would be thinking that simply makes a better story for the prick to later boast about to other pricks. -
Joe Garner will hit the goal trail once he finds top gear at Rangers
JFK-1 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I think he will come good. This compilation illustrates everything from a poachers goals to great headers and some fantastic touches to get into position for the strike. -
BBC Scotland's Kenny Crawford crosses the Ferguson threshold, as former Scotland midfielders Derek and Barry get "fiery" watching Scotland's 3-0 defeat to England at Wembley. http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/37977719

One of the most impressive things I ever saw a striker do was the Brazilian Ronaldo when he played at PSV for a couple of years between the ages of 18 and 20 and during which time he scored 42 goals in 46 appearances. And it wasn't even goal scoring that caught my eye. It was his strength that was incredible. He had broken away and was charging towards goal from the halfway line. Opposing defender knows he isn't going to catch him but manages to reach out and grab his shirt. Now with most that would probably at a minimum break their stride and perhaps bring the run to a complete halt but it did absolutely nothing to him. He was so strong he appeared to not even lose a stride as the power of his run caused the shirt to be ripped clean off his back and he just charged on as if nothing had happened.
