  1. Watching Liverpool exert incredible pressure on Bournemouth. Bournemouth struggling to get 30 yards away from their own goal far less out of their own half. Something has to give. And as I type the inevitable happened. Liverpool score and there could be a lot more to come.
  2. That's what happens when he lets them away with so much from the early stages. They start to think it's do what you want day. I'm all the more impressed by the victory when we appeared to be against 12 men for much of it. The clear obstruction on O'Halloran was right in front of him and he just waved it on. I knew we were up against it from that moment on and it must be hard for the manager to bite his tongue at such times.
  3. Beginning to wonder if City are all they're cracked up to be and if the title fight will come down to the current top 3. Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal and especially so if Liverpool and Arsenal make significant signings in January. If Liverpool plug the defence they will be a very hard nut to crack indeed and they arguably have an advantage since Chelsea and Arsenal still have to go to Anfield.
  4. So much money in the EPL that filling seats become almost irrelevant. They could play in empty stadiums and still be rolling in cash. Crowd size makes more of a difference in the Championship.
  5. Spoiled by a few good years under Ferguson decades ago never to be repeated.
  6. Well I think my favourite scenario would be that plod makes to huckle Broxi and Broxi makes a run for it right into the broomie and ends up surrounded and hidden by thousands as plod frantically tries to get through the masses.
  7. So is that two refs on our side? The one at Pittodrie too who stole them a win with the foul that never was.
  8. Difficult situation. The sight of plod huckling Broxi could incite a riot.
  9. They just don't have the capacity to get it into their heads that they're not a power in the game. As recently as 2012/13 when we weren't even in the league they finished 8th but now they bleat that McInness should be sacked because they got beat at Ibrox despite not winning at Ibrox in decades. I hope McInnes does leave them and let them fall back to struggling to avoid relegation. A little dose of what the hibees are going through would teach them their proper place.
  10. Yes I thought that too and if we had turned in a performance like that yesterday they could have have been on to a real hiding. Hopefully we get that kind of performance next week.
  11. So Kieran and Wilson have something in common with me, they both make me nervous when Hill isn't around to chaperone them.
  12. The loss of Hill for this crucial next game is a sore blow and it's not only that his performance was outstanding. I just get the feeling he's a vastly experienced organiser who coaches the less experienced around him into raising their game to match his own endeavours.
  13. It's disappointing, I want the squad strengthened in January which includes not just bringing in new signings but holding on to key players we already have. And if he does go we shouldn't simply be looking for a replacement. We want an improvement.
  14. So are they second best now? The way I see it we have outplayed the sheep twice, were robbed at their patch, and even if we had just come away with a draw which was highly likely if not for the foul that never was right now they would be 8 points adrift of us. As for Hearts they indisputably outplayed us at Tynecastle but I still think we have a superior squad to theirs and can put them a tidy 5 points behind us next week. Today I began to fear being robbed again by a referee. I don't normally comment on overall refereeing performances usually just taking it as it is what it is but today was verging on the outlandish. Almost enough to convert you to conspiracy nut.
  15. Two Preston players red carded for throwing punches. At each other. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38113557 http://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/teams/sheffield-wednesday/10682263/sheffield-wednesday-2-1-preston
  16. I was done with that ref after the blatant obstruction on O'Halloran was bizarrely ignored. He was right there watching it. I dunno if it was so clear from the stands but on TV it was crystal clear.
  17. Yes indeed. And pigs can fly and wolves can masquerade in sheeps clothing.
  18. Do the same in the next game and we will be starting to look more comfortable heading into the January window. I'm massively disappointed Hill was lost for that next game. He was playing great and I doubt they would have got that late goal if he had still been in there.
  19. Replacing the manager at this stage of the rebuild would be beyond ludicrous. The board are not that stupid.
  20. I don't normally comment on referees but this guy is killing us.
  21. So you define the facts now too? Were they second best in Scotland this time last week when they were in second place but now are not because of the most recent result? And you want to dance around it by saying they're not but can't suggest who is? And if they beat Aberdeen tomorrow than they are second best? You decide it from game to game? I don't look at it that way. I'm not a bookie laying odds from week to week i'm looking at it long term and I have seen them play better football than any of the two we are sandwiched between at this moment. And there we are right with them while we're admittedly not at 100% but presumably they are and we're still right there? So what's that going to look like when we get a break from the constant injuries which have been a feature from day one and start to get a full squad to choose from and a settled team? The facts are that we're STILL in second place points wise right now despite all these issues. That's the facts.
  22. You want define it and redefine it till it suits you? Yes they are the second best team, I already said that. You want to grade it from game to game? Do that and almost all positions could be ever changing from week to week. So now you answer the question. Who do you contend will finish second ahead of Rangers?
  23. Yes, i'm confident they will end the season in second place. Presumably you don't so who do you contend will?
  24. I agree that performances have been way below what we expect from a Rangers side but it still stands that as far as finishing second goes we can't be any worse than anybody else and can only get better while they're likely as good as they can be. If we have been poor what are the contenders for that second place because we're still neck and neck with them despite being poor. I would still rather be in our overall situation than theirs and still expect things to improve. What will the view be if we win at Ibrox on Saturday? The sheep were bad and we got a freak result or we're not as bad as some would paint us to be? We outplayed them on their own patch and they are unlikely to get that lucky again.
