The Betfred Cup Final could be put at risk after horror weather hit Glasgow the night before the game. Rangers face Celtic in the Hampden showdown but the downpour of rain could leave the pitch unplayable. With more rain expected overnight and a flood alert put in place it could leave the massive derby at risk. Heavy rainfall almost put an end to Scotland's 6-0 win over San Marino back in October when John McGinn netted a hat-trick. The rain was lying on the surface that day after the downpour and similar could happen on Sunday and would leave the game in major doubt. Transport systems have also been hit with high winds effecting Scotrail's services. It's unclear if the SPFL have any plans in place to check on the pitch on Sunday morning ahead of the game which is due to kick-off at 3pm. Rangers said they were studying CCTV footage in a bid to catch those responsible. And club bosses said that sectarian behaviour “wouldn’t be tolerated”. A spokesperson said: “We are studying security camera footage to see if those responsible might be identified. “Sectarian behaviour, in whichever form it takes, must never be tolerated.” And anti-bigotry campaigners have slammed the slur – branding it “moronic behaviour”. Nil by Mouth’s Dave Scott said: “This is pathetic, moronic behaviour which only antagonises people days before a cup final”. And cops confirmed that they were investigating the graffiti. A spokesperson for the force said: “We received a report of vandalism to the front gate around 1am this morning. “Enquiries are ongoing.
