Scottish Championship clubs have voted to play a 27-game season, nine fewer than normal. The SPFL has received 'yes' votes from eight of the 10 second-tier clubs after they were asked if they could play a shortened season starting behind closed doors. A provisional date of 17 October has been set for the league to resume. Only Premiership clubs are currently allowed to train before the top flight's 1 August start. Teams would normally play each other four times per season, but that will be reduced to three before the promotion and relegation play-offs. The vote comes as all 42 SPFL clubs submit their views on a change to a 14-10-10-10 league set-up before the deadline at 10:00 BST on Monday. If there is sufficient support for a reshuffle of the leagues, an EGM will be called for the following week and a formal vote will take place.

All Scottish clubs will do what they are told, a few may moan, but ultimately when Peter speaks they bow down and take it up the arse. Scottish football has long been fucked, and things won't change any time soon.
