The Chase: Celtic fans outraged over Rangers relegation question

According to a report fro TEAMtalk, West Ham want to sign Rangers right-back James Tavernier before next month’s transfer deadline. The Hammers entered the summer transfer window in desperate need of a new right-back. Ryan Fredericks impressed during West Ham’s first two Premier League games, however. But the 27-year-old suffered a hamstring tear against Wolves on Sunday night. And now we really do look weak in the right-back position. TEAMtalk claims that Hammers boss David Moyes is keen to bring Rangers skipper James Tavernier to the London Stadium from Ibrox. Gers boss Steven Gerrard will surely not want to lose the 28-year-old, however. In fact, the former Liverpool skipper will fight to keep him in Glasgow. Stats Tavernier has racked up four goals and three assists in nine Scottish Premiership games for Rangers so far this season. In those outings, he has averaged 2.4 tackles, 1.1 interceptions, 1.1 clearances and 0.8 dribbles per game (Who Scored). The former Newcastle ace is a solid defender, but he is very good when bombing forward down the right hand flank as well. Tavernier has just two years remaining on his current deal at Ibrox. So now will probably be the best chance Rangers have of bringing in a substantial fee for the right-back, unless they extend his contract of course. The Hammers may have to make a fairly large offer in order to tempt Rangers boss Steven Gerrard into selling. And if we do that, the 28-year-old would be a very solid addition for West Ham. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that we manage to get this one over the line. https://www.hammers.news/club-news/report-west-ham-to-bid-for-28-year-old-Rangers-ace-but-gerrard-will-fight-to-keep-him/

CELTIC fans have taken to Twitter to vent their outrage over a question on ITV's The Chase. Host of the primetime quiz show, Bradley Walsh, asked a contestant: "Which Scottish club was triple relegated in 2012?" One fan addressed the show's official Twitter account with the message: "There was NO triple relegation for the club formerly known as Glasgow Rangers. They were liquidated. They ceased to exist. Another said: "FYI Rangers were not triple relegated... They went bust and started life as a new club in the lowest league." Another user wrote: "A club 'triple relegated in Scotland in 2012?' The players have a right to call that lie out". One Rangers fan who appreciated the show's reference tweeted: "We welcome the chase", a motto used by some Light Blues fans, drawn from a quote by the second manager of Rangers, Bill Struth. He said of the young club: "Let the others come after us, we welcome the chase." The answer provided by the show was Rangers FC, which was liquidated and relegated following a crisis in the club's finances. Some continue to refer to the Ibrox side as Sevco - the name of the company which bought the club's assets in 2012. https://www.glasgowtimes.co.uk/news/18754722.chase-celtic-fans-outraged-rangers-relegation-question/

Tav for me, he was excellent as was Davis, Kamara & Arfield. Bassey played very steady, great to see Itten & Jones score their first Rangers goals.
