Last Updated: Tuesday, 6 March 2007, 16:21 GMT E-mail this to a friend Printable version Police investigate Mikel transfer Teenager Mikel joined Chelsea in June last year Norwegian police say they are investigating the transfer of Nigerian midfielder Mikel Jon Obi to Chelsea. The 19-year-old joined the Blues from Lyn Oslo in June 2006, after initially agreeing to sign for Manchester United. "The case is about document forgery and that is serious," said Oslo police attorney Paal Hernaes. Mikel agreed to join United in April 2005 but later said he had been pressurised into signing for the club and agreed to move to the Blues. In June, Chelsea announced they had reached a financial settlement with United and Lyn under which they would pay United £12m and the Norwegian club £4m. The police expect to complete their investigation by early April

Barring injury, i see no reason why we won't get a couple of seasons out of him
-
I'd be surprised if he doesn't get another years contract
-
Predictions.....??????, what's the score going to be ?, i'll go for 1-0 for the GERS !!!!!!
-
The thing is, you never know who is going to make it, whoever you sign and however much they cost it's still a gamble, these type of guys all have potential so you just never know how good they're going to become, the likes Hartley was a late developer, IMO WS abviously sees something in them and the fact that they're not breaking the bank means if they don't make it then they can be moved on easily.
-
I remember the Aberdeen of Spain game in Valencia. Aye that was a quote..............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, don't think anyone thinks we're going to walk the game, quite the opposite, they're a Spanish and therefore no mugs, we will have to be at our best, but we have a good chance in this game.
-
I said as much when we signed him, he is a better manager now than when he was last at Ibrox, he has achieved a lot since he left us.
-
I think a blind man could see the difference in the team, they have some building to do, but IMO it's coming along nicely, i have no doubt they will get us back, not only competing, winning trophies again and that's not me getting carried away, i just have faith.
-
Well i'm more confident going into this game, as i am most games these days, the fact that we have tightened up at the back gives us a chance against most teams, Thursday we need to get at them right from the start, not gung ho, but play at a high tempo and try and rattle them and if we can come away with a win then i'd be confident of going through, although 0-0 wouldn't be a bad result, but a win is obviously better.
-
I voted for him as well, because of the timing of the saves, what happened to the Hibs goalie ciuld have happened to ours, kept us in the game
-
Well done to the old man , luv to see the bookies losing money
-
The way the Manure players celibrated the result makes you think that they're of the same opinion !!!!
-

Although the days of signing great players are gone, i still think you have a chance of getting young players who are trying to make it to the big time,English Premiership, if you have the right guys scouting for you, and in WS we have a manager with a good reputation and can persuade players to come to Ibrox
-
Well i don't know that much about him, but if WS wants him then he obviously sees something in the guy, not losing much by taking him on and giving him a chance IMO
-
I understand what you are saying craig, but normally when two players square up to each other both are dealt with, if Alan did anything to justify his sending off then he deserves what he gets, but considering the circumstances the Hapoel player must have done something to provoke a reaction ?
-
The thing is, it doesn't matter who we play, the way we have been playing we never know what's going to be the result, but make no mistake we have improved under Walter and confidence is growing with the team and the fans, so bring them on, we have a team that's playing well just now and they are a team that has been playing like that all season, so why not.........!!!!!!!!!!
-
Can anyone tell me, was the Hapoel player booked ?, cos i can't remember,if not then surely that is an argument in the defence of our keeper, he must have done something to cause Alan to react
-
No appeal for McGregor.... should Klos play now?
ian1964 replied to ascender's topic in Rangers Chat
Agreed 100%, will we ever find out what happened?, he is a hero @ Ibrox, we all know he is leaving, but i just worry that he has thrown the towel in, don't get me wrong the man is class and of course we should play him, but if he doesn't give a fuck then throw the young keeper in, fuck Klos, i hope i'm wrong as i would love to see him play a few games before he goes, so as we can give him a good send off and thank him for his service to Rangers. -

Aye, but i'm worried about his attitude, does he really give a fuck?, you're right there's no doubt he's class and i would play him now but i'm just not sure he's interested, i mean what are the reasons why he hasn't been playing? -
There's a Rangers fan e-mail on the official site saying he witnessed the whole incident, don't know if anybody has heard what happened, but according to this fan Alan had the ball in his hands and the Hapoel player ran to him gesturing for the ball, Alan turned round placed the ball on the ground and headed towards his goal, the Hapoel player then ran and blasted the ball which flew over Alans head, Alan turned round and stood his ground as they went chest to chest, this is when the Hapoel player fell to the ground holding his face," CHEATING ". However if Rangers don't have video evidence then i expect the worse for Alan. Regarding Klos playing, IMO he should only play in europe.
-
What about the cameras for Rangers tv ?, i did hear that they have evidence but are keeping it for the UEFA meeting

I'm not sure, but he will automaticaly receive a one match ban, UEFA have their meeting next wednesday, so i think they're waiting to see what the outcome is, they are ready to defend him and clear his name ??, now if there is lack of, NONE, tv evidence then i think UEFA has no option but to go on the referees report, but i did hear that Rangers have some evidence on video which will prove his innocence -
Exactly, i don't care, we pummeled them
