Aye, great player who loved playing for Rangers, will be missed but the big man needs to look after his health, thanks Dado.

Uefa have announced the results of the appeals lodged by both Internazionale and Valencia following the brawl at the end of their UEFA Champions League encounter at the start of the month. Uefa confirmed that the suspensions imposed on Inter's Maicon, Ivan Cordoba and Valencia's Carlos Marchena had been cut. Maicon had his six-match ban reduced to three games, Cordoba went from three to two, whilst Marchena saw his four-match penalty halved. Nicolas Burdisso - whose nose was broken by David Navarro at the end of the match, failed to have any of his six-match suspension lifted. Likewise Julio Cruz's two-match ban remained intact. Navarro has seen his seven-month suspension from world football, reduced by one month. All players were warned that they would be hit hard with further suspensions if they were involved in trouble in the next two years. Fook me, UEFA baffle me yet again, remember Alex Rae got a five match ban for missing a player with a kick

Who do you consider the best organisation for representing Rangers fans?
ian1964 replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
That's a valid point, how would you suggest the RST reached these people ? -
Fuckin braw, but i think we are still punching above our wieght
-
Have to agree with that, fair enough he's never done it with Rangers, but i remember thinking when we signed him that it was a good signing as for me he was the best box to box player in Scotland, he's been unlucky with injuries so IMO thanks and all the best wherever you go Gavin
-
I don't know who this Smith was, but Stevie Smith is back in training and will play in the next reserve game and he is hoping to be back in the first team very shortly
-
Aye we seem to be linked with him a lot, TBH i've never seen much of him, but NI are flying just now and he seems to be scoring all the goals, so i really can't say much on him but it's no mean feat to score regularly at international level, so he sounds like he's worth the gamble, but i'm sure one of you guys will know more about him.
-
Well, 2-0 Italy, IMO we were outclassed by the world champions, pure and simple, but i'll tell you this we have came on leaps and bounds and i'm proud of our team tonight, nobody expected us to win and there's not many teams in the world will go there and get a result so for me it's still game on, we have never beat Italy away but they have never beat us at home, so for me it's status quo,not the band, as long as we keep going the way we are then we have a wee chance of qualifying, win our next two games, which we should, and we're back in the game, C'mon Scotland.
-
Well, i've went for £5 on Italy to win 2-1= £42.50, £5 on the draw = £20.
-
Spot on, but what you've got to remember is no-one was offended with the bottle
-
What's the chances of the Chelski support singing The Billy Boys ?????
-
Well it's been pissing down in Bari and the pitch is waterlogged, Rino was on SSN complaining about the state of the pich and saying it will suit Scotland better as the weather is the same as in Scotland, starting to shit themselves?,and getting the excuses ready !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Still not sure wether to bet a draw, or 1-0 Italy?????????????????
-
Nobody gives a fuck about Rangers,so i can't see us turning anybodies opinion of us, we just need to cut out all the pish that's giving them amunition, once we sort this out ourselves then they will soon get bored as they will have fuck all to complain about, but unfortunately cutting it out is no mean task as some of our fans don't give a fuck about Rangers, sad but true,so when we can get it sorted out is another question,i've a feeling it's gonna be a long haul.

A team should always play to thier strengths, our strength is high tempo and taking the game to our opponents, the last time we played there we played really well in the second half,could/should've scored, just play the way we play, the only way we can play

Maurice Ross is looking forward to embarking on a new chapter in his career after signing a deal with Viking. The 26-year-old impressed the Norwegian club during a recent trial and they have moved to snap him up on a free transfer from Millwall. Ross has been handed a two-year deal and he is eager to ensure the club's faith is not misplaced. "I'm very happy to sign for Viking and I'm looking forward to the season ahead," he told the Daily Record. "There is not a big difference between Scotland and Norway - it is cold in both countries. I don't think it will be a problem." I was wondering where he was...........!!!!!!!!!!!

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has opened the door to a possible summer move to Feyenoord. The versatile defender is contracted to Barcelona until the summer of 2008, having only signed a new deal last December, but he has found his path to the first team blocked by Italian international Gianluca Zambrotta. Van Bronckhorst admits that a contract counts for little in football and would welcome a return to a club he played for at the start of his career. "As a footballer you know that a contract doesn't say anything," Van Bronckhorst told Radio Rijnmond. "I left Arsenal, although I still had a three-year contract. So it can still go all ways this summer." Commenting on the possibility of returning to De Kuip, the 32-year-old added: "It's easy to return when it's going well. But I have always said that you aren't just a Feyenoord man in good times, but also in bad times. "It depends on many factors whether I will eventually return to Feyenoord in the summer. But I certainly do not exclude it." Now here's a player i would like to see back at Ibrox,32 is not too old, c'mon Walter at least ask the man

German goalkeeper Niclas Heimann has confirmed reports that he will be moving to Chelsea in the summer. The 15-year-old, regarded as the brightest German prospect of his age-group, is currently with Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen. He had been linked with the likes of Barcelona earlier in the season but has now agreed a switch to Stamford Bridge after impressing on a recent trial. Heimann has put pen-to-paper on a three-year contract with the Premiership champions, meaning he will be tied to the club until 2010. "A dream has come true for me," he said. Heimann will go straight into Chelsea's youth team when he arrives in London and his development will then be monitored by the senior setup Have we got the best one ????

CELTIC are considering an appeal against a £420 fine imposed by UEFA yesterday as punishment for crowd trouble in Milan. Two empty water bottles were thrown towards the San Siro pitch during their Champions League match against AC Milan on March 7 but the Parkhead club insisted their fans were not to blame. However, UEFA's control and disciplinary body felt there was enough evidence to fine the club. A Celtic spokesperson said: "The fine of 1000 Swiss francs (£420) says it all. Not withstanding this, we are disappointed and may consider an appeal."

Spot on Gribz, i'm sure we were the last team to beat them at wembley,European play-off,so they wouldn't want us to be the first team to beat them at the new Wembley
-
I was at Hampden a couple of years back when we got beat 2-0 by ROI, and the amount guys wearing Celtic tops, in the Scotland end, carrying the ROI flag abusing the Rangers players that were playing for Scotland, and they had Scottish accents, was out of order, so much so that a good few were put out, and it was only a freindly, ARSEHOLES.............!!!!!!!!!!!

To be fair,Eck is in a bit of a predicament, nobody expects us to win, we don't need to win, but IMO we should have a go at them as we'll never have a better opportunity to do so, if we sit back then that will suit Italy as they can be very patient, we aren't good enough to sit and hold on to anything, our style is up and at them, if Eck decides to sit in then for me there is no place for Boyd, if he decides to go for it then Boyd should play as he is our main goal threat, IMO we should go for it and see what they are made of, imagine if we scored first, how would they react, personally i think they would shit it, GO FOR IT ECK.....!!!!!!!
-
It must be very tempting to go over there and have a real go at them, i mean imagine if we scored first, i don't think they could handle that, but the one thing in our favour is the pace they play at will help us
