Can This Team Win The SPL and Qualify For CL Group Stages?
ian1964 replied to CammyF's topic in Rangers Chat
TBH i think we could win the SPL,' COULD ',but forget europe. Spending big doesn't mean you're gonna win anything, we should know, but we have a nice balance of youth and experience for the SPL, but unless some serious cash is put forward, which isn't going to happen, then we're stuck with bringing in less quality and hoping that young players develope into good quality, you're not expecting SDM to reach into his own pocket like we do are you ? -

Glad to hear WS saying Steven Smith is well on the way to recovery from his injury and is raring to go.Also Thomas Buffel is travelling to Germany for pre-season with the rest of the squad

Good move signing Adam, people forget how young he is,so still time to improve
-
As i said in an earlier post, he is a regular in the USA national team and that says a lot about him as the USA are a decent team, so he definately has some talent and maybe WS and Ally are just the type of coaches to get him playing at his best so i'm hopefull, but as with any other signings we'll have to wait and see

Agreed,or he will use this season to show what potential he has and maybe put in a good season, hopefully the latter
-
IMO it's a decent signing, he's a grafter, knows the SPL amd a regular international in a decent Scotland team,no doubt he;ll do a job for us

Graeme Smith confirmed and Beasely arrives in Glasgow...
ian1964 replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
AM comes across as the type of guy who will try and improve himself, and nobody can argue that the more you play the more confidence you get,the more confident you are the better you play, IMO he will get better and deserves to be our no;1 next season -
Septic in the hunt for Fanni ..........................aren't we all ?
-
From what i've seen of him,( not that much TBH ),but he does have pace and if you're a regular first pick for the USA , he can surely bring something to the team, but i suppose time will tell
-
Waste of money IMO, hope he comes good but i'm not holding my breathe

Greedy for money and only played in patches

I still think WS will sign a couple of decent players in time for the start of the season
-
On the subject of next season, i'm going to say we will win the league, and no i've not been drinking or taking drugs, i just have faith in WS & Ally to get the signings right,no big signings as they are finished for now, but i really think they will build a good squad and have a team spirit that will overshadow all the C****c BIG SIGNINGS !!!!!!!................Bring it on..........!!!!!

I also have a good feeling about Gow, he looks strong, fit and has skill, if his game improves any he will be a steal from Falkirk, the rest i'll have to reserve judgement as i haven't seen too much of them

I'm a Boyd fan, as everyone on here knows,i still think/hope he can improve as a striker, he does fuck all but score goals if he could learn how to hold the ball up a bit, not run all over the park creating like some would want, then he could be one of our best signings we've made in years

Former Fulham star Claus Jensen could be set for a move back to his native Denmark. Jensen is looking for a new club after being released by Fulham at the end of last season. The 30-year-old is weighing up his options as he is available on a free transfer. Danish side Lyngby are believed to be keen on signing Jensen and the player's agent Karsten Aabrink admitted the playmaker would consider a move back home. "There are no doubts that if he chooses to play in Denmark, it will be Lyngby," Aabrink told Ekstra Bladet. "That is the club in his heart. "He is still very attractive. There are several clubs in Europe who are interested." Not heard any rumours linking him with us but i always thought he was a tidy player, available on a free

I'd like to think we would get Naysmith rather than waste money on Fowler !!!
-
We should bring him back to Ibrox !!!!!
-
I'm also very concerned about the lack of funds. Its starting to look like DM has lost all interest in the playing side of the club and doesn't matter if we're now fighting for second place every season. I think Killie were right to go public with our shameful offer for Naismith and unless things improve, it could be a miserable close season for us. This has been the case for a few years now and yet SDM can still do no wrong according to a lot of fans

Celtic FC: Unaccountable and Hoodwinking a Nation
ian1964 replied to Frankie's topic in General Football Chat
Agreed, i've never been involved in anything like protesting but i would definately take part in any way i could, but i wouldn't know where to start, it's obvious the club are just going to sit back and accept the shit thrown at us, so i agree we as fans need to start fighting back and i would like to see it in the media, but i get the feeling if for instance we sent the article that Frankie posted to the media it would be thrown in the bin instead of being highlighted and exposed, but you also make a true point on the fans that can see no wrong in SDM and that is a more worrying factor for me -

Maybe if the hierarchy at Ibrox put up a bit of a fight then they would get the backing of the fans, the silence coming from Ibrox hardly inspires a fight back, but you're right we should be fighting back
