  9. Paul Lambert Lambert was appointed Colchester boss in October 2008 Norwich City have appointed Paul Lambert as their new manager. The former Scotland international, 40, has joined the Canaries from League One rivals Colchester United after less than a year at the Community Stadium. Bryan Gunn was sacked as Norwich boss on Friday after only two games of the season - including an opening-day 7-1 loss to Lambert's Colchester side. Lambert will be joined at Carrow Road by assistant boss Ian Culverhouse and football operations manager Gary Karsa. The two clubs are yet to agree a compensation package over Lambert. 606: DEBATE Lambert: he steers his previous club to a 7-1 home thrashing of Norwich then within 10 days is the new Norwich manager! Bizarre CarrowTim Meanwhile, Jo Dunne has been put in temporary charge for the U's League One game with Gillingham on Tuesday. Lambert told Norwich's website: "The first Saturday we came here I knew how big a club it was, with a fantastic fanbase and excellent stadium and facilities. "It's a big club and there is no way we should be where we are, not with everything we have going for us behind the scenes. "We want to get promoted but we understand there are going to be some challenges. "I will be watching the game tonight [at Brentford on Tuesday] and then work starts in earnest as we prepare for Wycombe. I can't wait to get started." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/norwich/8204016.stm
  10. He is in the final year of his contract and has not been offered an extension???

  12. KRIS BOYD has been given a staggering £50,000-A-WEEK lure to quit Rangers and accept a life-changing move to TURKEY. SunSport can reveal that TWO Super League clubs have expressed a shock interest in the prolific striker, who turns 26 today. Rival outfits Trabzonspor and Kayserspor are prepared to pay a £1.5m transfer fee for the hitman. Boyd, who hit 31 goals last season, would earn that £50,000-a-week - four time his current wages - if either deal went through. The amazing figures, confirmed to us by sources close to the deal, came to light last night with Rangers chiefs aware of the Turkish interest. Gers are in desperate need of funds and are ready to cash in on the striker, who is in the final year of his contract and hasn't been offered an extension, though they could hold out for £2m. Boyd wants to stay. He rejected a deal to sign for Birmingham last season. But the cash on offer could tempt him to reconsider. http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/sport/spl/2593004/Turks-set-to-offer-Boydy-50k-a-week.html
  13. Can oor Lee no play in goals

PGDM 55 minutes ago Post #2293 Member Avatar First-team starter [ * * * * * ] Posts: 1,259 Group: Members Member #14,320 Joined: 21 January 2008 My team for tomorrow night - Boruc Hinkel Caldwell O'Dea Fox Donati N'Guemo McGeady Brown Maloney McDonald Subs Zaluska Caddis Naylor Crosas Samaras Fortune Killen We need to attack from the off, and try to get an early goal or two, certainly to create a few chances and rile them up a bit. Hit them quick and on the break and use the natural pace and energy of Maloney, McGeady and Brown to move the ball very quickly from a deep position to the Arsenal box. McDonald, being our most natural poacher and goalscorer would get the nod from me. We will need a massive performance in terms of concentration and no nonsense "kick it which way your facing" defending at times, but Boruc will most possibly be our main man. There will be no shame in this. I like TM's attitude. I like, from what I have read, his philosophy on the game. I hope he sends them out with the attitude of needing a massive performance but play to your own strengths, do not worry about Arsenal's strenghts. If every player in our team, including any subs used, has a performance of 8/10 or better then I am fully confident that we shall win. My prediction is 2-0 for us at HT, 3-1 at FT. We have a great chance to progress to the group stages and that would be a monumental achievement. I am not, for one second, underestimating how good a team Arsenal are. Or how good a manager Wenger is. But I feel we have a very good team, playing very well with two or three excellent players who can carry us to victory. HailHai Maybe we should all run to the bookies and back the MOPES,they are going to hammer the Arsenal !!!!!! :-]
  15. Agreed,Davis was very mediocre tbh, maybe that is because we all know he can do better, then again maybe that is why he is with Rangers and not still in the EPL
  16. As long as he keeps his performances up he can beat what ever he likes
  17. Along with the £15m McGreedy
  18. Again.......we don't have the quality,IMO.
  19. Can't remember them tbh, all I seem to remember is Scotland being hard to beat at best. '' anti football ''............I call it playing to your strengths
  20. When was the last time a Scotland team went out and outplayed the opposition and were successful ?
  21. Lee's goal was a superb strike, shows he is capable of good strikes, makes you wonder why guys that can strike a ball like that don't have a go more often
  22. Results prove otherwise, under WS & Eck, were hard to break down, stifled the opposition then sneaked a goal
  23. Millers second goal was quality
  24. KDS Kris 15 Aug 2009, 08:30 PM They're going to under-estimate us even more now that's what i think, you may have posted in jest i'm not sure, but i honestly believe they will have taken today's (yesterdays technically...) result as an 'if we can beat everton 6-1 away, then we can beat celtic away as easily as well' and go in with that over-confidence that some teams come to celtic park with and leave with a feeling of 'feck... they humbled us all right...' tuesday will, i reckon, be an unbelievable match where two footballing sides go head to head and play an extraordinary game of football where the home side edge it ( )
  25. I was only using Little as an example,Shinnie is another young player who should bee looking to make the break through. We have been told these guys are going to feature this season, so if we are short tomorrow then it would be a good time to give them a chance if needed
