  1. CELTIC defender Glenn Loovens will discover the outcome of his protracted appeal against a one-match ban before his side's next match. SFA disciplinary beaks will convene a three-man panel to hear the former Cardiff defender's case on October 15 - two days before Celtic entertain Motherwell. Loovens will miss the SPL clash with Well if he loses his fight to overturn the suspension imposed by the SFA for his clash with Rangers midfielder Maurice Edu last season. Loovens was punished after catching Edu with his studs on the back of the American's knee during Celtic's 1-0 defeat by Rangers on May 9. Referee Craig Thomson missed the incident but referred it to the SFA's review panel after watching television footage. The Holland international then received the ban from the SFA disciplinary committee in August but his challenge allowed him to play in the opening SPL match at Aberdeen and he has since been waiting for an appeal date to be set. Celtic assistant manager Mark Venus last month accused the SFA of lacking professionalism over the delay in organising the hearing. However, confirmation of the one-match ban may not affect Tony Mowbray's selection for the Motherwell game too much after the Celtic manager criticised his side's defending during yesterday's 2-1 defeat at Ibrox. Kenny Miller struck two goals for Rangers after Loovens twice failed to deal with simple forward balls.

  3. Aye, it's not like the MOPES to copy or steal somebody else song
  4. If what you're saying is true, and I've no reason to think you're not, then it's about time the media reported the arrests/ejections for sectarian singing
  5. Still think we should have had a penalty, when Novo was pushed, the one where the ball hit his hand!!!!!!
  6. Glad to see the MOPES are continuing to play '' the C****c way ''.............................................cheating & losing

  12. Dunno Craig, but I'm talking approx 35 min before k-off, two officers came into where we were standing in the corner and told two of our fans that they couldn't wear their scarves over their face, when challenged all the officer said was '' I don't make the rules '', that's why I'm asking a serious question as to what law you are breaking by wearing your scarf over your face
  13. The wee chinese fella, Maloney ? Wilson all got booked for diving
  14. What I would like to know is how they get away with sectarian singing ?,why were a couple of our fans,TBO, told to take their scarves off their faces ????,only to point out to the polis that the scum had their scarves up over their faces ????

  16. This is not just when football is the issue, most of the time when you speak to foreigners abroad they refer to England, as being Britain, even the English refer to England when talking about Britain
  17. I think Walter Smith sees Naismith & Lafferty as his main strikers long term. Boyd........?????, don't think his contract will be renewed, all in my humble opinion of course
  18. Rangers 2 Naismith, Novo MOPES 0
  19. If we had beat Killie, Motherwell & the sheep the MOPES would have been raging after last nights result, and after we pump them on Sunday they would be calling for a new manager
  20. Couldn't give a fuck about the result............as long as Rapid get in about them and kick a few MOPES
  21. WALTER, get out of Rangers, if not in January, then in the summer while you still have your sanity and the possibility of a dignified exit for the second time. That's the best piece of advice I could offer the Rangers manager before he even contemplates a sit-down with new chairman, Alastair Johnston to talk about a new contract. There is nothing more the Rangers manager can bring to the table that could change the club's fortunes in the current climate. The defeat by Sevilla in the Champions League on Tuesday was expected, maybe not as emphatically as a 4-1 scoreline, but to be fair a totally inadequate referee didn't help matters. advertisement I still maintain Rangers' battle is for third place in the group, as I have stated all along, and with that comes the added pressure for the Ibrox boss of a disgruntled support that grows less tolerant of his team selection and the constraints he deals with day in-day out. The support is dwindling, but the groans of discontent grow louder week by week and the manager has to ask himself a question. Can he repeat last year's feat of a league title with no investment and the hope that Celtic maintain their capacity to ship as many points as they did in the second half of last season? Smith should have left Rangers at the end of last season with a Double in the bag and the memory of the road to Manchester still unspoiled in his mind. Instead, he's fighting it out for another campaign, with his plea for financial help to sign more players becoming more desperate, as Johnston frantically looks for a businessman to invest in a loss-making venture in a depressed Scottish market. This weekend the cry for him to give up his position could be deafening if he were to lose the Old Firm encounter at home to Celtic. How many supporters would tolerate losing the derby and chasing a potential seven-point gap that could open up after only seven games played? Yes, a lead at the top of the table can be pegged back, but Walter knows he has a preferred starting XI and the rest of his squad are bit-part players; the majority he doesn't trust to win him a game when the chips are down. It's all ifs, buts and maybes, but it's not beyond the realms of reality at the end of Sunday afternoon. The first derby of the season has the makings of an absolute cracker, two rank rotten teams slugging it out with the eyes of a Sky Sports audience down south looking on and laughing at what we describe as the finest our league has to offer. It has draw written all over it with a Rangers frontline that can't score and a Celtic midfield that can't pass. A win for Rangers on Sunday will ease the pain of a Champions League defeat until the next one comes along, but the other aforementioned possibility of a win for Tony Mowbray's side doesn't bear thinking about for Walter. Take my advice Mr Smith, walk at the end of the season whatever happens. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/display.var.2531412.0.0.php
  22. Miller is going to Germany on Monday to see a specialist regarding his groin/nerve injury
  23. I would love to see us bring in a manager that will get us playing '' attractive football '' and take us forward, however who would replace WS ?, who would want to come in ?, as Fraser has said I can't think of anyone that I would want !!!!, unless we get major investment, we've all heard there is investors ready to come in but I've heard it all before, I'll believe it when I see it.
  24. If this team turns up tonight I can't see anything other than a bit of a battering I'm afraid!!!,2/3-0................but then again my predictions are normally pish so here's hoping for a hard fought draw, can't see us winning
  25. Carefull MF..........that sounds like a tad of optimism
