Agreed, if true I really hope this slut gets severely punished, but McGregor should not be putting himself in this type of situation, will he ever learn ?.

This is all just going to lead to McGregor leaving Rangers sooner rather than later IMO.

AN EXPLOSIVE mobile phone video will be key to Rangers goalie Allan McGregor's bid to clear his name on sex attack allegations. And in a shock new twist to the case, it emerged that McGregor claims he resisted demands by gangland villains to hand over £100,000 to make the allegations "disappear". The mobile phone sex footage was said to have been taken the night the keeper is alleged to have been involved in an assault on a young mum-of-two with two other men. They are former Big Brother TV star Kenneth Tong and St Johnstone's Portuguese footballer Filipe Morais. All three last night met legal advisers and will deny the allegations. A source who has viewed the film told the Record yesterday: "There is nothing to back up claims of sexual assault. "The evidence demonstrates quite the contrary. It shows this woman is not under the influence of any substances and that what is seen to be happening in the film is consensual." The Record can reveal that the millionaire Ibrox keeper insists he refused to pay blackmail money demanded by gangsters. The existence of the video was said to be key to the £12,000-a-week keeper's decision to resist the alleged extortion attempt. A source close to McGregor, 27, said: "He did not receive a direct approach from the woman. Instead, he received a very unwelcome visit from some very sinister characters who were most clear in their intentions. "They told Allan there was a simple solution to any problems he may been experiencing with this woman. "The solution was £100,000. "He was told that he should hand over the cash and the woman, along with the accusations, would disappear. "He was absolutely traumatised when he realised that he had become embroiled in what is nothing more than a disgusting blackmail plot." The source added: "He knows the inherent problems of going out in a city like Glasgow where women tend to throw themselves at footballers. But he never, in his wildest nightmares, considered he could become the target of a honeytrap sting." After the alleged blackmail approach was rejected, shaken McGregor took advice from lawyers. He has instructed top defence counsel Paul McBride, QC, to look after his interests. Sources close to the trio say they are confident that the footage will provide them with the crucial evidence they need to have the case thrown out. The woman filed a complaint against McGregor, Morais and Tong earlier this week. She claims to have been out with pals one night towards the end of last year when she was invited back to a flat on the south side of the city. It is understood she told friends she believed she was drugged before an alleged sexual assault. Afterwards, she went to the city's Archway Centre - an independent agency who offer forensic services and support to sex attack victims. She only contacted the police within the last few days. The three men are expected to be interviewed next week. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/2010/01/16/exclusive-allan-mcgregor-says-he-was-targeted-by-gangsters-in-100k-sex-plot-86908-21971600/

Soth African tax bosses today admitted their surprise that Dave King is spearheading a fresh bid to take-over Rangers. The exiled Scot is embroiled in a long-running battle with SARS – the South Africa Revenue Service – and is said to still face hundreds of tax evasion and fraud charges in the country. King – who is worth in excess of Ã?£200m – is the main player behind a four-man consortium trying to seize control of the debt-ridden Ibrox club. It is believed they will increase an Ã?£18m offer for the club that was rejected by Lloyds Banking Group last week and want to strike a deal by the end of the month. To avoid the freezing of his assets, King is said to have placed Ã?£1.5m of his existing Rangers shares plus other assets into a Virgin Islands offshore firm called Metlika Trading Ltd. The firm is registered in the name of his 78-year-old mother, Agnes, who lives in Alexandria. A source at SARS said today: “So far as we are concerned, King’s assets are frozen worldwide, including Scotland. “There has certainly been no deal with him, contrary to reports in Scotland. He faces individual and company charges in the criminal, civil and tax courts. “It has been claimed today that, to avoid any SFA or SPL probe into his affairs in terms of the fit and proper person rules on club ownership, King would refuse an executive director role on a re-shaped Ibrox board. Lloyds have refused to discuss the proposed bid and would only say: “We are committed to supporting the board of Rangers in their plans for the club.” http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/editor-s-picks-ignore/dave-king-bid-surprise-for-sa-tax-man-1.998980
