  1. I see what you're saying, however I don't think ''the drink culture'' is purely a Scottish thing more of a British thing IMO, also the fact that he is playing CM has helped him as he was always caught for pace @ LM with Rangers, and the fact that he may have got the kick up the arse that he needed by being transfered from Rangers
  2. Mendes can go for me,he is a decent player but doesn't justify his huge salary IMO.
  3. I'm going for 3-0 GERS tonight. Miller,Novo,Lafferty
  4. Aye, I've always thought he got a raw deal from our fans, and also thought he could do a job for us, however he is away now and doing well so I hope he gets a big move as he will deserve it.

  6. Liam Miller ??, now playing for Hibs
  7. Aye, I also thought that being back with sky would have helped in getting a good sponsorship deal
  8. I would never have guessed that
  9. OOOOFT!!!, A bit strong there Johnny boy
  10. I would rather see the tattie faced turn coat stay,he's a sand dancer
  11. Agreed, and in our financial troubled times I would not like to think any of the current squad are trying to hold out for more than they are likely to get or can afford.
  12. A goalless draw in Luanda was enough to see hosts Angola and World Cup-bound Algeria through to the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/africa/8464507.stm
  13. IMO Broadfoot should just sign the new contract with Rangers,he is a decent player and has done well since he signed for us,however Kirk you should realise who you are playing for and be grateful that you have the opportunity to play for the team you support and you WILL NOT get a better move.
  14. Sasa Papac in warning to Danny Wilson over Rangers exit By Peter Jardine Rangers defender Sasa Papac has warned teenager Danny Wilson not to jump at his first chance to head south. The young centre-half has rejected an initial contract offer from the Ibrox club in a decision which has deeply frustrated boss Walter Smith. But Papac believes the best way for Wilson to continue his football education at the moment is by sticking with Rangers for another two or three years at least. 'I think Danny is quite capable of playing in England for a top club,' said Papac of the youngster, whose current deal has 18 months to run. 'He has the quality to play on a big stage. Rangers are a big club, too, but Danny has the ability to play every year at Champions League level somewhere else. 'However, if he leaves us now at the age of 18, it might go wrong for him. He might not play regularly and then he will not develop enough. 'Danny is a talented player and to be playing first-team games for Rangers at the age of 18 is an achievement in itself. 'It is a great way for him to learn - especially as a defender. He has plenty of time to move later in his career. 'He should wait with us for another two or three years and even then he will only be 21. His future looks good, I am certain of that.' Wilson's rejection, thus far, of an extension drew a withering public rebuke from Smith last week - and a subsequent denial from the agency that represents him that they advised him to turn it down after whispering in his ear about English suitors. Papac insisted there may be a more simple explanation. He added: 'Players don't always accept a first offer in contract talks. It is negotiation - it needs to be right for the club and for the player.' Fleck was also said to have rejected a contract offer, although sources close to the player denied this was the case over the weekend. A spokesman for Stellar Group, who represent both players, said: 'There are no two ways about this - both lads are very happy at Rangers and want to stay. 'They feel as if they are in the right place, at the right time and are working with the right people. They idolise Walter Smith and his coaching staff.'
  15. He probably will do ok,however we have players who are coming back into the team who are also trying to go to the WC. Senderos certainly won't influence games like Bougherra does for us so I'd rather have Bougherra coming back into the team than us bringing in Senderos so I'm glad we never got him.Beasley,Edu,Bougherra & Mendes all coming back into the team soon and I am more than happy with that prospect.

  17. Pedantic sod If we were to hammer every team 4/5-0,including them, they would never accept/acknowledge that we were a good team. The MOPES never lose a game fairly,it's always somebody else's fault.
  18. He's ack,he had a two match ban, MOPES & Hamilton
  19. Too many to copy & paste, help yourself mate http://kerrydalestreet.co.uk/topic/8238109/1/

How that pathetic excuse for a left back is allowed to stay on the park for 90 minutes is totally and utterly beyond me. Not only that, but he's even taking effing corners. I've backed Mowbray ever since he came and I will continue to do so, however, that doesn't mean he's exempt from criticism. He should never have let Caldwell go without bringing in a replacement who was fit and ready to slot straight in. Whatever anyone thinks of Caldwell, he's easily better than any of our other centre halves - to weaken an already hopeless defence is criminal. The front two don't work as a pairing and I don't care what anyone says, Samaras won't do. He scored today, yes, but he's just never going to be consistent enough and doesn't look able to form a meaningful partnership with anyone he's played with. McDonald hated playing with him, he was terrible with Hesselink and now Fortune looks half the player with him as he does with McDonald. Now, on to Aiden, he's slipping back into his old ways. He's never a £14m player, we all know that, but surely to God he has enough about him to look like one against Falkirk at home? What an utterly shocking performance from the wee man today. 9 points behind a team we totally dominated two weeks ago does not bode well at all. We do not one have leader in that team and I honestly don't think Lawwell will back Mowbray with the required funds needed to get rid of the impostors which have plauged our squad year after year. It's quite simple - Naylor, O'Dea, McManus, Samaras et al will never be good enough for Celtic! One a plus note, Ki looked good, Zhi had a couple of flashes and Crosas done better than most so it's even more surprising to see him taken off. By God did we miss N'Guemo. Just numb at how lacklusture and nonchalant we looked in that 2nd half - sad times indeed.

The manager cant escape criticism, but 70 percent of the blame for where we are now is Lawwell, Desmond and Reid. Sad days.
  24. And so you should Zappa, it is worth going on for the gloat,TIMPLOSION
  25. True, however they should still be good enough to beat Hamilton IMO,with due respect to Hamilton, but these players are all first team, experienced players
