  1. That IS the reason I never posted it:). I'm not saying we should get the same as Gordon went for,as I do think Gordon is better, just that we don't need to sell him, shagger has more CL experience and we should not give him away on the cheap
  2. Neil Lennon want his Celtic players to question referees after restating his belief that they were hard done by in Old Firm games last season. The 38-year-old, who was installed as the club's new manager last week, said some of the decisions were "abysmal". "In the high-profile games, the Rangers games in particular. The club were justified in making a point about it," added Lennon. "I want to see them (the players)sticking up for each other." Rangers secured their second successive Scottish Premier League title last season, with Celtic parting company with manager Tony Mowbray before the end of the campaign. Lennon, who steered the club to eight consecutive league wins before landing the job, believes Celtic failed to get the rub of the green at crucial times. Marc-Antoine Fortune had a goal chalked off in the Old Firm derby draw in January, and Celtic were unhappy with a number of decisions in both of their derby defeats at Ibrox. Midfielder Scott Brown was sent off after a clash with Kyle Lafferty in February and the visitors were unsuccessful with a couple of penalty claims in the October meeting. Celtic were also unsuccessful with an appeal against Brown's dismissal. "I think some of the decisions we had last season were abysmal," said Celtic. On his desire to see his players question decisions and support each other on the pitch, said: "I did it myself as a player, not to influence the ref but to let him know we weren't happy. "Any challenges that were a wee bit heavy, there were two or three of us around the player who did it. "There was a togetherness and I want to see that again. I want to see them sticking up for each other. "They did that in the last few games. That's what teams are about - looking after each other on the pitch and having a good spirit off it." The Celtic manager added: "It's important; it's a basic thing in the game and it's difficult because in the modern game you've got all these different coaches. But we'll try to develop the players and make sure there's an affinity with the club."
  3. Probably bullshit, but if it is true then I would want a big fee for him,if Gordon went for £9m then surely McGregor is worth around the same??. I'd rather keep him but if we got a good offer and WS was to get the lot to reinvest in the squad then it could be a good thing.
  4. vuvuzelas=PAIN, get rid I say. The only proper atmosphere is that of the fans singing, you can't even hear the fans groaning/booing any bad decisions.....................PISH, BAN THEM
  5. Edu to score the winner tonight:)
  6. You forgot to add the boycot of all games @ Tannadice
  7. The question is................does he get more bites on here:whistle:
  8. DUNDEE UNITED last night slapped a £3million price tag on the head of David Goodwillie. Rangers have been linked with the 21-year-old hitman, with Walter Smith believed to be lining up a £750,000 bid once Andrew Ellis's takeover is complete. But Tannadice chairman Stephen Thompson insisted: "Anyone offering that would be wasting their time. "Nobody is up for sale, but if we get a realistic offer it has to be considered. "A realistic offer for David would be in the region of £3m." Meanwhile, United have confirmed their two-year, six-figure shirt sponsorship deal with Calor Gas. 10. You don't have to read the thread,I'm sure should anything happen there will be a new thread started:)
  11. The Andrew Ellis-led consortium is in "advanced negotiations" with Rangers to buy a controlling interest in the club. Ellis and his company, RFC Holdings, informed the Stock Exchange on Wednesday that talks were at an advanced stage. The consortium first registered its interest in the club in March. Speaking last month, former Northampton Town owner Ellis apologised to the club's supporters over the length of time it was taking to strike a deal. Ellis's consortium is considering a reported £33m bid for the Scottish champions, who are about £30m in debt and who have admitted that they are being investigated by HM Revenue and Customs, with reports claiming the club faces a £24m tax bill. Rangers chairman Alastair Johnston has previously criticised Ellis for the delay in preparing his proposal. MY SPORT: DEBATE What do Rangers supporters think of the proposed takeover? And on Wednesday, a statement on the Stock Exchange read: "The company confirms that it is in advanced negotiations with Sir David Murray to acquire a controlling interest in Rangers Football Club plc. "However, no price has been agreed and no timing has been established for the conclusion of the talks. "If a deal is concluded between Sir David Murray and RFC, the company would be required under Rule 9 of the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers immediately to make an offer for the remaining issued share capital of Rangers. "It is emphasised that this announcement does not amount to a firm intention to make an offer and there is no certainty that any offer will be forthcoming, or as to the terms of such an offer." Sir David Murray, who relinquished his chairmanship and place on the board in August, controls about 90% of the shares in Rangers. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/r/rangers/8731834.stm
  12. Is it not the case that a player is eligible to play for a country if he has been at school in that country for 5 years?, meaning he qulifies as he has spent 4 years at school in Scotland + 1 years college
  13. Neil Lennon will be unveiled as Celtic’s new manager today and he plans to mark his appointment by luring a major English Premier League striker to Parkhead. And the Irishman is also targeting a world-famous winger who has starred in the Bundesliga and La Liga as he attempts to build a side good enough to qualify for the Champions League this season and win the SPL title back from Old Firm rivals Rangers. Lennon has already held discussions about the possibility of landing his two main signing targets but the deals could depend on whether or not majority shareholder Dermot Desmond is willing to bankroll the deals the way he did with Robbie Keane.
  14. I never said he was world class, but he was as near to world class as any Scottish player of his era
  15. Ah!, but you see, you will now hear more of him talking pish after matches:)
  16. Anyway,I don't see any of these players coming to Rangers, as has already been stated we can't afford their wages, unless they are prepared to take a cut and come and win some trophies, playing in front of a massive home croud, and get to play in the CL
  17. I think he has a better chance improving his scoring rate if he were to come to the SPL
  18. Footballing wise I don't think anyone can deny his quality
  19. Finding it hard to get into the WC this time, maybe Rangers situation is more important,so I have not even looked at any prices, but your bet looks a decent shout. Brazil to win it:)
  20. Personaly I don't think we need to buy a striker, we do need wide players and a couple of defenders, unless of course WS is planning on continuing with Lafferty/Naismith/Davis/Fleck as our wide players??, I hope not
  21. Aye, he's a ****,MOPE,BHEAST,BIGOT
  22. Aye, I should be excited over this, but I'm not
  23. Aye,I know,I was just about to post the same article, but you beat me to it,I already had the youtube research done:)
