  1. Hope there's goals in this game....................doubt it mind you, going on the rest of the games so far
  2. Honduras v Chile ITV KO-12:30 We get the chance to see our two new signings today,if selected:)
  3. Stephen Smith, chairman of the Rangers Supporters' Trust, told BBC Scotland that he felt the statement by MIH raised a number of questions. MY SPORT: DEBATE Is this good news or bad news for Rangers? "Does this mean Murray is back in charge and running the show?" said Smith. "Where does it leave Lloyds Bank and their role? Does Alastair Johnston continue as chairman? "Does the business plan announced in the next couple of weeks still stand? And if so, this needs to be communicated to the support who are being asked to invest in season ticket money at this time. "And if the Ellis offer is dead, what plans are there for securing the club's future? Murray needs to engage the supporters to involve them in the running of the club and make them a significant stakeholder. "He needs to understand the fans are not customers but an integral part of the Rangers family."
  4. Aye,good one:), apologies to anyone for my ranting, just pissed off and slightly bevvied after a wee afternoon sesh
  5. Aye very good, you just keep your head firmly buried in the sand,FYI there are guys on here who could probably run the club better or at least not any worse!!
  6. I'm also glad Ellisand his '' consortium '' are not taken over, simply because no-one knows feck all about him
  7. Of course Pete, you are correct on the sky deal ect, but SDM has to take the ultimate responsibilty in this shambles,ok even if he just got it wrong, bad judgement or whatever, this whole take over crap is nothing short of embarassing, so no doubt he will come out now and tell us all that everything will be ok,the Ellis deal wasn't right for Rangers blah blah blah. The guy is playing the Rangers fans like puppets on a string and doesn't really give a fluing fuck what we think as long as we keep renewing ST and turning up on match days spending even more of our hard earned cash supporting the team we love and lining his pockets at the same time!!!!
  8. Just to add, there is not one Rangers fan would have accepted '' chasing the dream '', if they had known it would put us in the position that we find ourselves in now, and that is called mismanagement and if it were another business SDM would be sacked,at the very least.
  9. Sorry mate, although you and anyone else is entitled to your opinion and quite rightly so, SDM is responsible for the financial predicament that Rangers FC are in, SIMPLES
  10. Oh well!!,that puts everything right now,I mean wtf are you on about???, there is only one person responsible for the state Rangers FC is in and that is SDM, but hey your mate texted you to say '' trust in Murray mate,he won't let anything bad happen '' !!!!!!!, It's too late he already has let '' anything bad happen ''
  11. The real enemy within = sdm
  12. Does it really matter??,after all we are just punters who don't need to know!!!!
  13. It's a fucking disgrace the way this pantomime is going on,this is Rangers FC,it's becoming a bit of a laughing stock,IMO,we the fans deserve better than this.
  14. I cannt be ersed reading the whole thread,RFC is not for sale,so what does that mean to us????. Lazy Loyal
  15. Well there you go then,SDM to the rescue again eh!!!
  16. Rangers transfer target Gabriel Obertan wonââ?¬â?¢t be allowed to leave Manchester United on a loan move. Ibrox boss Walter Smith was thought to be planning to ask close pal Sir Alex Ferguson to provide him with the services of the France Under-21 forward ââ?¬â?? whom he also tried to land in January ââ?¬â?? on a season-long loan. Smith is keen to obtain the services of some top young players from Englandââ?¬â?¢s leading clubs and Obertan was one of his top options. Rangers have loaned players from United in the past, with Lee Martin and Phil Bardsley both moving north of the border during Paul Le Guenââ?¬â?¢s short time as manager. Obertan ââ?¬â?? who cost United Ã?£3million from Bordeaux ââ?¬â?? made his first-team debut for United last season, but is unlikely to feature regularly for them next term. However, itââ?¬â?¢s believed they want to keep him at Old Trafford and have him working closely on the training ground with the existing first-team players to help prepare him for the next step. Obertanââ?¬â?¢s agent, Karim Djaziri, revealed: ââ?¬Å?Gabriel is going to stay with Manchester United next season. ââ?¬Å?We spoke at length with the manager and the club at the end of last season and there wasnââ?¬â?¢t any intention of him being loaned out to another club.ââ?¬Â http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/editor-s-picks/transfers-no-rangers-switch-for-manchester-united-starlet-1.1034989
  17. Andy Webster has no fears about his ability to fit in at Rangers next season ââ?¬â?? after being helped through his injury nightmare by his Ibrox team-mates. Webster has only played in one competitive match since joining the Gers in 2007; the centre-half turned out, and scored, in a league win over Gretna back in 2008. The former Hearts, Scotland and Wigan defender has been sidelined with serious ankle and knee problems since that solitary outing in a Light Blue jersey. However, hopes are high the 28-year-old will play an important role in Walter Smithââ?¬â?¢s side claiming their third successive SPL title triumph in the forthcoming campaign. For he got back to his very best during a loan spell with Dundee United last season which culminated with him skippering the Tannadice club to Scottish Cup glory in May. The player took part in more than 30 games for United, forced his way back into the national set-up and was nominated for the PFA Scotland Player of the Year award. But Webster has revealed how Rangers stars like Kenny Miller, Lee McCulloch and Davie Weir also played a big part in helping him rediscover his top form during his time on Tayside. The defender is confident he will be able to slot effortlessly back into the first-team picture thanks to the strong spirit which exists within Smithââ?¬â?¢s squad. ââ?¬Å?Although I have finally overcome my injury problems and got back playing week in, week out during my spell at Dundee United, I have a huge amount to thank everybody at Rangers for,ââ?¬Â he said. ââ?¬Å?They are a great bunch of boys and have really helped me through the darker times. When I was out of action and doubted I would get back playing on a regular basis at a decent level they definitely kept my spirits up. ââ?¬Å?The Rangers boys welcomed me with open arms and made me feel part of things. They have kept in touch with me when I moved on to United on loan to see how I was getting on. Their support has been important. ââ?¬Å?I think playing in the SPL with United last season will be helpful for me when I go back to Rangers. It has meant the manager has been able to monitor my progress closely on a regular basis.ââ?¬Â Despite his successful stint at United, Webster has no qualms about returning to Rangers next season and is looking forward to starting pre-season training at Murray Park later this month. The Scottish Cup win, achieved courtesy of an emphatic 3-0 triumph over shock finalists Ross County at Hampden, saw the 6ft stopper pick up the first silverware of his rollercoaster career. And, having enjoyed the sweet taste of success, he believes his best chance of getting his hands on more trophies in the future will come with the Glasgow giants. Webster explained: ââ?¬Å?Football is, at the end of the day, all about winning trophies. To achieve that with Dundee United in the Scottish Cup last season was a fantastic exper-ience for me. ââ?¬Å?When you go through the difficult times, as I have in the past, it definitely makes you appreciate the good times when they do come along. I think it makes you savour them that bit more. ââ?¬Å?No doubt about it, it has been great to be part of things at United. The coaching staff, the players, the backroom team and the fans have all been exceptional. It has been great to be part of it. ââ?¬Å?But there are fresh challenges ahead at Rangers and I am looking forward to meeting them. There is the prospect of playing in the Champions League group stage next season. That is a huge ambition. I also want to play a part in the club winning the title again. ââ?¬Å?I moved to a big club like Rangers to elevate my career to a new level and, thus far, I have not been able to do that. But there is the opportunity for me to do that now and I will relish the opportunity to get back into things.ââ?¬Â There is currently serious competition for places at centre-half at Gers. If Madjid Bougherra stays in Scotland after the World Cup and Danny Wilsonââ?¬â?¢s move to Liverpool ââ?¬â?? who are on the lookout for a new manager after parting company with Rafael Benitez ââ?¬â?? fails to materialise then he will have a fight on his hands for a place. Yet, the 22-times capped international is looking forward to proving his worth at the Gers and is confident that, after finally putting his injury problems firmly behind him, he can. He said: ââ?¬Å?When you are a player at either Celtic or Rangers you need to have a strong mentality. You have to go out there to win. That is something which I am quite prepared to accept. ââ?¬Å?I am a competitive individual and have a hunger to do well and win things. I feel I am moving forward and progressing as a player again and Iââ?¬â?¢m keen to make a major impression at Rangers.ââ?¬Â http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/editor-s-picks/rangers-mates-helped-web-stay-online-so-he-ll-click-into-place-1.1034978
  18. I don't blame any player for moving and getting themselves a shit load more money plus playing in a better standard league, especially if the said players gave their all while wearing the Rangers colours, and both these players did that,IMO,regardless of how good I or anybody else thinks they are.

  25. Former Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu has lost his final appeal in a five-year legal battle and must pay the club £14m in damages for breach of contract. The Swiss Federal Court confirmed on Monday that they have upheld the decision made by Fifa and the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Mutu, 31- who now plays for Fiorentina - was sacked by the Blues in 2004 after testing positive for cocaine. Romanian Mutu received a seven-month worldwide football ban. The English Premier League club then set about suing him in order to recover the £15m they paid to sign him from Parma in 2003, which they now look largely set to achieve. Switzerland's highest court issued the following statement: "The Swiss Federal Tribunal has rejected the appeal filed by Adrian Mutu against a sentence by Cas. "The Cas had sentenced the professional Romanian footballer to paying a sum of more than 17 million euros to his previous employer, Chelsea Football Club Limited." Last year, Cas upheld Fifa's ruling for a breach of contract - which Mutu described as "inhumane and unjust" when it was issued in 2008. The compensation figure, based on lost earnings, was calculated on the length of time Mutu's Chelsea contract had left to run, and was the highest handed down by Fifa. After serving his ban, Mutu joined Juventus in January 2005 and at the end of the following season he moved to his current side Fiorentina. When Fifa announced its verdict in 2008, Chelsea welcomed it, calling it "a very significant decision for football". The Blues have made no comment on the decision of the Swiss Federal Court. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/chelsea/8738824.stm
