He also made many great saves that got us to the EL final! and gave me a fantastic season, I'm not sure we can repeat that effort this season? but it won't be McGregors' fault. -

Of course! I'm ok with him re-signing as I believe he has at least another season in him, and I think he as. All about opinions and that is what makes the game of football brings. -

He is our best keeper!. He might start the first league match? I'm not concerned!. We lost our a league title but it wasn't his fault! or any other individual's fault! every player contributed to that!. Clutching at straws here I think!. This is my original point, ageism!. -

It's a team game mate! all players make blunders! the reluctance to McGregor re-signing is bizarre IMO. -

He has never changed though! what do you want? a keeper who command his box or a keeper who is excellent at shot stopping? nobody can deny what an excellent season he has just had and Gio is obviously is happy to give him another year on his contract!. Also the rest of the players know his strengths and weaknesses and are confident in him, it's not as if the players expect him to come for crosses, they do communicate on set plays!. What blunders does he make that any other keeper doesn't make?. No other keeper makes as many crucial saves than he does consistently!. His performances last season, especially in the EL, proves he is still a top quality keeper hence Gio handing him another year. -

I am quite astonished why a lot of Rangers fans are so against McGregor re-signing? it reeks of ageism IMO! McGregor has just finished an incredible personal season with some excellent performances, which could be argued without his performances we would never have reached the EL final. Why would any Rangers fan want him replaced just because of his age? he is the best keeper we have,(and has been throughout his career). This lust for change just for the sake of it is bizarre! if we can replace any player with better quality then I am all for it, however he is the best keeper at the club and the fact that the boss wants him to continue says it all really! unless Rangers fans know better?. If he was 30 instead of 40 would you be happy for him to re-sign based on his performances?. -

It's an absolute sin that this is being ignored! however in todays' Scotland it doesn't surprise me, shame on Scotland -
He should be with us for another season at least, unless we bring in someone better I don't see the logic in letting him go?.

Tremendous viewing!.

Brutal statement from Park's of Hamilton about the Cinch deal and court process They are taking no prisoners here. Statement from Parks of Hamilton Ltd A spokesperson for Parks of Hamilton Ltd said: “We were not surprised to learn from the media announcement last night that the SPFL have finally acknowledged Rangers legitimately engaged rule i7 in June of last year and thus, vindicated the stance held by the club for over a year. It is not for us to speculate as to why the SPFL leadership sought to ignore their own rules for so long. “The fact that the SPFL prevaricated and continued to stall an arbitration process they themselves initiated in August last year, and which was ruled upon by the court of appeal in October, underlined the weakness of the case they truly had. Were it not for our interim interdict, it is clear their strategy was to try and bully one of their members and shareholders; a strategy which they have employed on numerous occasions. “Throughout the last year, Park’s have kept their counsel as the SPFL leadership insulted us and misled the SFA, their member clubs, their title sponsor, and various other stakeholders in Scottish football. “We have a long standing and proud association with Scottish football, and it was entirely wrong that we were compelled to take the SFA to court because the SPFL decided to abuse the SFA’s arbitration process. We believe that the SPFL and members of its leadership have brought the game in to disrepute and have failed, as have the SPFL as an organisation, to act with the utmost good faith towards their members. “The SFA must carry out an independent investigation into this issue which has cost all parties involved hundreds of thousands of pounds. Despite being awarded expenses in court, Park’s will not recover all their legal fees nor be compensated for the reputational damage caused by the SPFL. “Finally, the glaring omission from the SPFL’s statement was an apology. The SPFL leadership owe their members an apology, they owe Park's an apology, they owe the SFA an apology and they also owe an apology to Rangers. Unfortunately, they seem to lack any accountability and would rather spend their members money than admit their failures.”
