Smashing stuff! Will do the draw at 5 when I get in.

It could be argued in this instance where we are showing our support and paying our respects in the 13th minute of the game it is far more viable than a minutes silence which just wouldn't work at that point in the game. However I am not a fan of the applause either and personally feel a mins silence is more appropriate at the beginning of the game. If memory serves me all this began because the mhanks couldn't show common decency and keep their mouths shut when paying respects. It's a sad day but would you trust 21k Hibs fans to be respectful for a mins silence? I wouldn't trust them to do a washing!! For those reasons I feel the mins applause is the best way to pay our respects/show our support.

Great stuff guys! I reckon leaving it to Friday is a bit much and we have quite a few names already so I will draw it out tomorrow about 5pm, if anyone else decides to put there name in tomorrow. I will post and pm the winner just after 5pm.

No problem guys, glad it's proving popular. Good luck to all!. Glad someone will get to the game who's missed out.

Ok lads, I've peen mulling this over, not sure what to to, so I will see what everyone thinks. I have a spare Adult and Child breif for the SC Final V Hibs in the North Stand. They are seated together so it's preferable that you take son/daughter, nephew/niece etc. £35 and £15, so it's £50 all in. I have other tickets now in the South Stand. I had thought about trying to raise cash for charity but it all gets a bit messy, I donate every month anyway. So, if you wish to be put into a "raffle" for them, just leave your sign in name below, if there's enough interest I will do the draw on Friday morning and will meet whoever wins them somewhere in Glasgow over the weekend. I don't know anyone, so can't favour anyone, so no need for stewards enquires lol. I know there are many on here who were not successful in the ballot so seems fair to offer to you guys. Let me know you all think??

Aye Craig, sadly I agree with you on both points. It would be fantastic if the whole of the stadium would stand in remembrance, however I wouldn't hang my hat on my them showing any decency. I hope that every bear on their feet will be of some comfort to the family that they are in our thoughts at this terrible time. It puts football in its place.

I don't know how many people we have at Ibrox each week for corporate hospitality etc I'm guessing 1-2k? They all have a drink and I have been there a couple of times, nobody is frothing at the mouth, so to speak. How many people get tanked up in the Louden or any of the pubs before the game(which is preferable as they would be and are much cheaper) and head to their seats?? Club don't know how pished they are when they come in?? So imo that argument is a non starter. If people as adults, wish to go to ground, 1-2 hours before game, have a beer, pay extra for the privilege and soak in the pre match atmosphere then why not?? No sale of alcohol at H/T. We are not talking about taking carry outs into games etc. This would suit clubs financially and it would appeal to some of the paying public. There are to many people stuck in the 80/90s. Society has moved on and without wishing to stereotype anyone, the fans who some would have reservations about, they wouldn't be paying £5 for a beer anyway, they would still be getting tanked up outside the ground with carry outs or cheap booze in pubs.

A sad ending to a great life blighted in the end by a condition that deteriorates and destroys all too cruely and quickly, even to this day.

Its a dirty business. I listened to the phone in on the way home tonight too, they were also suggesting a 1 year trial period to let you have a beer at the games, there were different ideas on how to implement it. It would be a good income incentive for clubs and if they could find a way to get plod to agree then it makes sense as there wouldn't be any opposition from the football authorities. A token system was suggested, I guess you could allow ST holders to have £20 on there smart card each game and it could be used for drinks?? Charge £5 a beer/wine also don't sell spirits for obvious reasons. If plod were sensible( a contradiction in terms, lets be honest) you would allow clubs to proceed with caution for a years trial, and any sign of trouble, its stopped, end of story and nobody can bring it up again.

SNP have 63, so Cons 31 Lab 24 Green 6 LD 5 which is 66, all other parties except SNP were against the OBFA so if there was a motion to the repeal it it should be passed by 3 votes?? Fingers crossed???

are all emails out for those successful in the ballot already?? -
Completely agree with boabie on that, don't really see the similarity with pointing out what went on systematically with them for years and revelling in the hurt, pain and suffering of lost loved ones who sadly died in a horrific football accident. On top of that, to do it at this present time just after the recent Hillsborough findings is something that you can only expect from them. I go back to what I said earlier there are cameras all round that area, why are plod not pursuing this??

Cheers. It's just one of those things, my own fault, rectified for next year. I had thought they may have done Ballot today but it seems not. Possibly Tomorow? -

I went for Taverneir, just feel his goals and bombing forward have been a huge plus for us this year although Wallace has been fantastic too. Tav due to his goals though. -
Scottish 6 o'clock News programme that's been proposed to take place of the BBC national news. Commonly perceived to be a nationalist propaganda machine.
