It was disgraceful!! I was in row c which is one behind where the carers sit with the disabled. The police only wanted to film and prosecute Rangers fans, nobody assisted those who were in front of me. I was half way up the stair and was looking back watching. I saw police and stewards doing nothing as Hibs fans ran amok down there.

Official: Joey Barton signs 2 year deal with Rangers
cooponthewing replied to cooponthewing's topic in Rangers Chat
I've also just heard that he resigned for Burnley?? Who's at the wind up?? What's happening?? -
Wouldn't expect anything less from Salmond and Sturgeon. I'm sure we all know what they are up too now, their programme of unionist dehumanisation, at least I hope we do. The irony of their initials??

PFA back Rangers' calls for independent investigation
cooponthewing replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Yeh, I noticed that. No mention of players being physically assaulted. -
Just checked out Frankie on Twitter, wow, horseshit he's getting dosnt cover it! Frankie doing a great job, keep it up!?
-
Yeh, cheers Craig, from her genuine Twitter account posted after all this had taken place.

this is the tweet TB1982 Nicola Sturgeon @NicolaSturgeon. Congratulations @HibsOfficial - my other half @PeterMurrel is just one of the thousands of happy Hibees tonight. #ScottishCupFinal

This statement is shameful. However for all the reasons, footballing, political and social that were discussed yesterday and are frequently discussed on here we must not let up, as a club and as a support. They will do whatever it takes to make us go away but we must not allow that to happen. Those who were in any doubt about the state of affairs in Scottish society towards our club and our social status they surely must see what's happening now, those that don't are either blind or do not wish to see. I honestly do not wish to think about the reaction of the Scottish government should it have been thousands of Rangers fans swarming onto the pitch, ripping up the turf, demolishing goalposts, running to the other end, goading opposing fans and physically attacking members of the opposing team in a national cup final. Does anyone on here really think there would not have been sum form of summit , a statement of intent from the Scottish Government to swiftly address matters and Rangers would have been dealt with in the most draconian fashion available. Anyone who thinks otherwise needs a long look in the mirror. Me must not shake in our commitment and our belief that this must stop. We will be alone in this and we must circle the wagons, however we must not lose the belief in ourselves and see this through, we have endured this behaviour for too long, I for one don't want this to continue, the demonisation and dehumanisation must stop.

Just when you think some sense might prevail, some more unbelievable tripe comes out. I don't know if these people actually believe this or if they are still drunk?? They really have no appreciation that 11 of their fellow professionals were just attacked their work. What a horrible little place this is. I'm off to bed, I may get some sense when I'm asleep?? Let's keep at them, great statement from club, time to act.

Every player attacked!! I don't really know what to say?? If this was anywhere else they would be stripped of the cup and banned for at least 3 years. Italy, Spain,France, Germany I could go on. Just watched BBC news, covered the "Glorious Hibs cup winning open top bus parade" with fan interviews!! You couldn't make it up? Again trying to make light of the situation and it is referred to as "fans invading the pitch and violence" not Hibs fans as it should be.

Appeal after Rangers fan knocked out at Haymarket Station
cooponthewing replied to ranger_syntax's topic in Rangers Chat
Haven't really seen this highlighted anywhere today? Again I have to think if it had been a Hibs fan knocked unconscious at Glasgow Central this would have been all over the main Scottish news etc -
Completely agree RANGERRAB great post?

Good, let them all have a shot. They are not welcome anywhere near us and I'm sure the club have the best legal minds possible analysing everything. We are going to get a lot coming our way, they will not stop until we stop them. They know we are serious now and will make every attempt to ridicule the club, its supporters and our place in society. We must not flinch, we must not blink.
-
I can't speak for anyone else but it feels like a huge weight has been lifted. The board are with us, we will not be silenced or bullied anymore. I hope this is only the beginning of a long awaited fight back against the deep rooted institutionalised bigotry and dehumanisation that we have endured far to long.
-
Brilliant statement. Let's face them head on, we must not waiver or falter, as a club, as an institution and as supporters enough is enough!.
-
BEARGER I certainly don't think had the tables been turned that she would have been congratulating us. Unless I am seeing double, she does say congratulations, she does comment "one of thousands of happy Hibees tonight". At what point am I altering facts?? I conveyed my disgust at her comment and stand by them.

Yeh FS I was sitting right at front down there and came past the ramp/entrance on way in and out. I know exactly what you mean and Plod Scotland were an absolute disgrace, conspicuous by there absence dosnt cover it. I was walking back down towards New Vicky Hospital before we saw any reinforcements.
-
Raman Bhardwaj @STVRaman unless you were at Hampden you may not grasp what happened and what could have happened. Imagine you were attacked by a random at your work. For anyone that dosnt know he's a newscaster on STV news.

Just watched the video link posted. I also saw this on SSN earlier. What can I say that hasn't already been said?. Going back to what Frankie said in his article and how we address the deep rooted problems is defiantly an issue that must be confronted. In the short term I can't emphasise enough my desire to act and act quickly. We must do something. Banning all away fans from Ibrox would be a start. We don't need their money or hatred. It is not just a one club problem. The resentment and poison is widespread in Scottish society. We have to stand up for ourselves, we have endured this vile behaviour for long enough. If nothing else the safety of players at their work is an issue and Rangers have a duty of care. If a player were to be attacked at Ibrox, their place of work, by away fans, and Rangers had not taken sufficient measures to secure their safety that would be a legal issue. Take the problem away and ban them. We can fill the stadium no problem.

Great gesture, well done FS!??

Scottish Cup Final fall out: Anti-Rangers coverage must cease
cooponthewing replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Sorry mate, stand corrected you are spot on, I couldn't remember his exact words. -
Yeh I seen the SSN report from Benstead earlier. Not a word about it. Keeps being referred to as "fans invading the pitch" and "crowd trouble" not Hibs fans invading the pitch, attacking players and causing criminal damage. This is looking like being the stich up of all stich ups!!
-
We could as has been brought to my attention ban every away fan from Ibrox. We will be able to fill the stadium no problem, we don't need their money, we don't need their hatred and I would enjoy my match day experience. It would be a place to start.
