Challenge Cup - expanded and our u20s involved
cooponthewing replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
Interesting connotations re our proposed move south along with the unwashed? The SFA won't have a leg to stand on should they oppose it now with the European governing bodies with respect to cross border amalgamation of league structure and competition. Very interesting? -
Cummings Dunked Into Swimming Pool By Rangers Fan

Yup, well spotted Rabi, certainly no concrete evidence to suggest that from the clip. Maybe he was just a guy on holiday in Magaluf with his mates doing what lads do in Magaluf in the summer? However, even though there is no evidence pointing to him being a Rangers fan(wether he is or isn't is irrelevant) all he said was Cummings scored against Rangers, he is bound to be a big bad mad Rangers fan, I mean, Jason Cumming et al were only going "to Magaluf in June" for a quiet couple of weeks, relaxing reading a tranquil serene novel?? Good Grief!! -

I'm I missing something here?? "Magaluf, lads holiday, lad gets thrown in pool" where is the story?? This is ridiculous! When Frankie said box clever, he sure as the sun will rise wasn't talking about nicking off on your summer hols and don't throw anyone in the pool!! This is madness! I'm not going to say anything about their players or fans as I will get banned. -

Tb1982, I had the same thing thought re lafferty while watching SSN, he's been on loan at Birmingham from Norwich and not really featuring, stranger things have happened? -
A great point well made buster. At any opportunity they will devalue and damage our club socially or financially in an attempt to further marginalise us within Scottish football. The irony that they play the sectarian card is breathtaking, however as you say, it is all part of a well oiled political machine.

They are on a Lads holiday in Magaluf, I'm sure there will be plenty of that going on, it's hardly unusual. If you don't fancy that kind of vacation, don't go to Magaluf or any of the other party hotspots. -

It's funny you mention that Frankie, when I was younger I honestly never paid much attention to historical events before 1970ish but as I've sadly(damm you sands of time!?) grown older it's something I look forward to reading and learning about, be it on Gersnet or any other outlet. Gives a fantastic insight into the soul of our club, where we are and how we got there. I look forward to any articles from a historical perspective, very enjoyable? -

I don't mind doing the odd bit of reviewing or writing. I'm still enjoying my quest for Freud like knowledge but I'm sure I can find some time in between mental episodes during assignments? I might even elaborate on the "Ego" and "Super Ego" lol. When anyone is reading this, your only thinking what your thinking, because I made you think it!! Ha Ha? -
I'm afraid the majority in Scotland are blinded by Unionist hating Nationalisim to be concerned about silly little things like tax, education and jobs etc?? So I wouldn't be holding my breath on the SNP being out of power anytime soon. They will look to target anything to deflect away from an appalling record in power where they treat the electorate with contempt. So expect any attack on football(especially big bad British Rangers) and a full on assault towards a second neverendum. They haven't found it too difficult to hoodwink the Scottish people in the past, FM says she understands the mentality of the Scottish people? It would seem she does!

The draw for the BetFred cup will be made this evening.

After what happened last time at Motherwell and the events of the SC final that's a great point re safety. I won't be attending anyway, weather I get a ticket in CCC ballot or not. I reckon we will prob get 30k plus for home games though, Friday night is a home game as is Monday, will be good to get a look at the team. -

Shall we play a game? Euro '16 Prediction League!
cooponthewing replied to Rousseau's topic in Rangers Chat
I will just be glad of some football, a bit of interest at the bookies for a couple of weeks. Then when the tournament is over it's only a few weeks and we go again!? -

I'm in!? I have a vested interest as I have £10 e/w@9/1 on England. They look a young energetic side playing good football. Deli Ali(spelling??) looks like he could be player of the tournament. There are other strong teams however there isn't a side they will face where you immediately fancy them getting gubbed. -
Friday night and Monday night too. Brutal! I know a lot like Friday night and it is quite enjoyable, the only downside is you are left with a sat/sun with no Bears action? Completely agree Ian, I can't see there being many 3pm efforts, have to make sure we make cup finals for that.

I read online that the fixtures for this Global extravaganza would be out this week?? Still nothing though!! They must be hard at work, the logistical complexities of......The Betfred Cup?? -
Sad so very very sad. Ironic that i am presently working my way through a psychology degree, I have much evidence to describe what this kind of behaviour would indicate, however I'm in a rush, it can wait till later. Yes, it's all about the Rangers however there is deep rooted insecurity and a feeling of inferiority and misguided victimisation causing serious psychological distress and conflict. I will expand on this later, I could be on here for hours debating psych issues re their inability to face the obvious.

FS is spot on with everything he points out. I was in Row C of the south stand sitting just behind. At the final whistle I grabbed my neice and sister and headed up the stairs, when I got to the top I saw all of them down where the disabled supps were. Apart from everything that had been said, and whatever agenda plod Scotland have, have they really been deindividuated that much that they can't muster a basic human emotion to see there are disabled supporters being intimidated and I fear for their safety and do something about it. They put on the uniform and lose their humanity. Appalling.

I would imagine unless we keep on top of it they will hope it goes away quietly. Haven't heard a thing since the independent(mmmmm?) investigation was announced?

I wonder if they will advertise this as a two game package? It's hardly the commercial oppertunity of the EL though. It really does again highlight what a disaster the SC loss was. -
Great post D'Artagnan, really summed it up. Everything you said was spot on. I had felt in those 2-3mins you mentioned it really was going to go. The scenes were the worst I have ever seen in attendance. It again shows what remarkable restraint the majority of Bears possessed that day. Otherwise, due to the worst policing I hope I ever witness, it dosnt bare thinking.

After a week of full on spin and media attention making every effort to distort the truth, from Police Scotland, those at Holyrood to every downmarket Hack that felt the need. The truth was always going to be there for all to see, should they wish to look. However mud sticks and again they have gone out their way to fabricate stories blatantly tarnishing the supporters and the club to the point we are now, thankful that someone is highlighting the truth. Maybe I'm the only one, but it's a sad day and a portrait of how we are held in contempt when Andy Walker is the only one, it would seem, making a case for the truth to be heard.

American Peh! Deal for Dundee v Celtic game in USA 85% complete
cooponthewing replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I completely agree with GS On this. It calls the whole integrity of the league into question. You can't have them playing an away match at a neutral venue, that's reserved for cup semis/finals. The reason being so that nobody gains an advantage. What they would effectively be doing is turning an away fixture into home games, unless I am way of the mark and there are thousands of "marauding Dundonian's" scattered around Pennsylvania?? No. They can't even get a decent home gate. This can't be allowed, for any team as it provides an advantage for that fixtures away side in a league format. -
