Ibrox was finished 45years ago and yes there are parts that need some repair and maintenance however Farmyard was 25 years ago(I think?) and has A, been rumoured since building that it was insecure and B, showing serious signs of disrepair now. All this equals my previous comments re built on the cheap.

The piggery was built on the cheap, it what GS is allowed too, I think? and yes there are a lot more underlying issues at the Farmyard. There is more than one person you will find with a less than glowing account of its safety credentials.

I have been pensively dissecting my own aspirations for the upcoming season over the last few days. At first I honestly thought we couldn't win it first time round, however after watching our style of play and performance I believe if we can get just a bit tighter at the back, we are in with a real shout, and the sewer dwellers are not as strong as everyone else in Scottish football likes to think. We must keep it a lot tighter at the back though which may be our downfall. I know it's the way we play and it's great football, years ago during 9IAR Burns played great football with them, we still won the league. Mainly by keeping it tight at the back and soaking up pressure. There side is nowhere near the class we had back then so it's purely a footballing ethos comparison not a direct one. It's going to be very very tight I feel, tighter than a......................lol

Yeh, seems a strange one now that we have JB, Rossiter and Halliday for DM?. I wouldn't see him play CH in front of what we have although I have said before I liked him playing as spare man at the back but as I said, we have cover there now. What I would say though is that I feel he is comfortable and effective as the spare man at the back, maybe MW fancies him as cover for JB??. Big Clint looked solid and seems like your typical "no messing" CH, not sure if MW would want two in that mould?.

100% agree with BlueFlag and Ian's dialogue. I recon when I'm qualified I will need to charge these clowns double for an hour of my time, as it is clear that I myself, will be in need of some form of psychological assistance after listening to whatever delusional crap it is that the television has told them to do or say that week!? I find it hard to contribute anything constructive on threads regarding that lot. My feelings were well documented before the SC final, and I feel were justified after the behaviour or lack there of, after the final. It genuinely saddens me that Petrie has been allowed to wiggle out of this. Their followers are beneath contempt. The way their fans goaded and intimidated disabled and children who had been sitting at the front of the main stand at Hampden tells you everything you need to know about them. In turn it reveals everything you would wish to know that sits deep in Scottish society that such behaviour is at first described as "over exuberance" and has been cast aside and swept under the carpet as "frolics" by luvvies from Edinburgh. A few token arrests from plod Scotland who are a national disgrace is hardly an appropriate or socially acceptable response from our law enforcement custodians(chuckle chuckle??)

Any idea why the club feel they need more STs BEARGER? We have to give the Mhanks 7k when they come and trash the place twice a year. IIRC our cap is 51k so 1k here or their for supp clubs etc would be fine. We really don't need more than 42.5k tbh?.

For those of us who can remember the possibility of the North Atlantic league, with the big European clubs about to embark on their own financial venture without the lesser European clubs I wonder if that will be back on the agenda? It's not beyond the realms of possibility either that in ten years time for example we could have a European Premier league and league one for example, which could evolve from Champions league and Europa league, I would expect us to be in the latter. Yes the money will not be as great as the big boys however I might expect promotion and relegation in said two European super leagues. My point is that if I they break away we should be looking and actively canvassing for opportunity outside these shores. We must, like many other big European clubs not invited to the party, adapt and evolve to suit and prosper in our new surroundings, those that don't will perish. What that means for the rest of Scottish football I do not know, they have made every effort to make us feel unwelcome, we owe them nothing.

I know this is petty, however can anyone imagine the uproar if we had such incredibly vast intelligence and managed to some how summon up, between us of course, such insulting lyrics directed at A, Lennon or B, Rodgers??? It would be something akin to a coordinated intercontinental cyber attack, Twitter would go into meltdown, people on the streets, state of emergency and all bears rounded up and found guilty of gross crimes against humanity unless apologies were forthcoming and we had pledged allegiance to the SNP! Just back in. Commanding performance while never really looking like we were breaking sweat(hard to do on a night like tonight lol). Halliday was a worry after that tackle just before the second goal, looked like a sore one, but he seemed ok. Good performance all round and a nice workout. Niko looks very composed and I thought wee Barrie had another good game. I can't really find anything to whinge about? No wonder it's a full moon tonight lol.

IIRC GS Tav got a proper sore one early on in the CF and if we had cover he would have been off. He was on about 70% that game. His first touch can be suspect and that was the worst I've seen him play in the CF mate. Brilliant going forward taking years off us all at the back though!.

I was listening to Radio Scotland and Tam Cowan on the train on way back from game on sat when his excuse was that the Motherwell fans had decided not to bother as the game was on TVs? Aye? Baws, where are they every other week?? I also heard on Radio Clyde tonight that Motherwell refused to sell tickets to any fans of Motherwell who did not have a history is following the team home and away, this, allegedly was on the advice for this fixture only and came from the SPL and Plod Scotland. A guy was on saying he couldn't take his kids etc.
