  1. Spot on Boabie. Tonight he was on Snyde professing how he was so proud how we came through what was the most difficult time in our history with him at the helm??. Yes Ally the cheerleader for that lot who happily took his preferred share offer and grossly inflated salary. He was entitled to it, yes, imo it's at least morally questionable!. Ally made sure that no matter what happened to the club, if the worst came to the worst his financial state wasn't going the same way as the clubs. Ally says he wasn't fully aware of what was going on above him. He could have asked any of the supporters as we had figured it out. I understand taking what you are entitled too and fair play, what niggles me is saying " I did it all for the Rangers"??. As has been discussed already, in a footballing capacity he must have a very fine tuned selective memory as the route one football was dross.
  2. Couldn't agree more D'Artagnan! It's a great piece and not the first from 26th. You also pen some great pieces yourself. Tbh Gersnet is a fantastic place to come for some great writing from many posters and writers:thup:
  3. I don't know what to make of that article?? Was he drunk while being interviewed?? His style of football was just awful. What's that got to do with "timing"??
  4. It was the word Fenian I was referring to Pete. There is no way UEFA will stand for that. Similarly for the mhanks and their republican terrorist supporting rhetoric. To be fair I think the same can be said cross border here too. As you say, there are many other songs from various clubs that are sung, the ones that are simply not tolerated by UEFA are those with sectarian/racial undertones.(or just blatant?)
  5. On another note, if we were ever to be invited into a European or a cross border British environment these songs, under no circumstances, would be tolerated by governing bodies. The governing bodies themselves would be objective and would hold no agenda, it would simply be that these songs would not be tolerated. In the plus side, it is without question that the IRAoeke songbook and others that are alike would similarly not be tolerated and would cause them much harm as I feel they would have more problems than we do. These songs of theirs would no go down well at any of the grounds down south.
  6. 4-2-3-1 or 3-5-2 I would think?? I would prefer to flood the midfield as they are lightning fast.
  7. I might be wrong DB but my take on all this is that we could effectively shit hundred dollar bills and hand them to charity whilst singing "onward Christian soldiers" and these scumbags would still find a way to chastise our fans and club. I don't think it matters? This country is so twisted that no matter what we do that mob will be painted saintly and we as Devils of society. Make no mistake it is Religious and Political!. It's just damage limitation and trying to give them as little ammunition as possible. In that sense I don't really see much mileage in giving them ammunition to throw at us, I feel we should sit back and let them go into full song with their IRAoeke and various other unsavoury and terrorist supporting tunes. The world is watching and make sure it is reported that they support terrorist organisations worldwide and are openly allowed to glorify in death and destruction by the footballing and political authorities here.
  8. Good show Frankie?. I was surprised when I heard Durrant on there last week, although his pal Ferguson is on there regular so probably shouldn't have been surprised. Can't fathom why he went on there?? He's not skint that's for sure. Anyway, good show for standing our corner!.
  9. Completely agree DB! They will go into meltdown should we beat them at their midden! Social work and mental health services will be in lock down for the weekend. They have already got us well beaten2/3/4/5-0(even more with some delusionals??) their tiny little minds won't absorb what is taking place in front of them. They will be howling at the moan for the foreseeable future should we get a favourable result!! Mon eh bears?
  10. I really hope we keep the songs above anything that can be held against us. Everyone at home in front of telly or catching it on radio should be listening to anything that comes from them that is remotely sectarian/pro terrorist and anti Protestant. They should report it to the authorities and if sky do not apologise on air then complain. This all seems childish and OTT, and I agree, it is, however make no mistake that this lot and their cohorts will/would do just the same, and worse, to us. Normally we are not ready so let's be aware this time and report anything unsavoury at the farmyard. Having said that, all this can only be done if we don't stoop to their sewer licking depths!. So if we do, and the full song book comes out, best just sit and watch the match lads lol.
  11. I understand your sentiments MacK but I'm counting the sleeps!. Will be up early Saturday and make my way over to the piggery!.
  12. We just cant compete financially. Even entry into the champions league will not enable us to compete financially and football is now a financial and global business. We are a long long way off. I've gone off topic slightly. Wee Willies point is not practical, we just don't have that kind of cash to spend and although we spent 1.5m on a player, that was the limit for us tbh. We can and we will still compete, if we get our act together I believe we will still challenge for the league and fully expect us to life one of the two cups. Success this year would be lifting a trophy of any kind, as would European qualification, however as I have said before, no matter what I go into every season with the hope and expectation of winning the title.?
  13. Lowlife pond scum!! I have the same feeling re songs tbh. Hope we can rise above it though. Btw anyone else on here going or is it just me??
  14. I must say, when we have circa 45k STs and Bournmouth(yeh, I said Bournmouth!) hav a capacity of circa 11k and they can splash out on millions plus attract Jack Wiltshire I just wonder what the fuck is going on with football?? Even if we talk TV money, who seriously pays to watch Bournmouth?? Apart from their limited STs and fan base. It's just bonkers!! I admit I am a cheerleader for moving on to European leagues etc and financially reaping the benefits but some of the guff that if going on in England is breathtaking???
  15. "Never forgive, Never forget. Going for 55 since 1872" will do me fine?.
  16. I would seriously hope the ref didn't say that??. The fact that these halfwits are trivialising someone being attacked by a member of the public at their work shows you how far we have sunk. FWIW I hope every player and official did report what happened and authorities informed. Totally agree with GS re the banners. If that's not harassing or victim intimidation then what is?? And for anyone who is about to profess that I'm being dramatic, if a neighbor in your street is attacked at their work by another neighbor in you street who then sticks a flag in their window with their full name on it calling them a grass, I will 100% guarantee you right now they will be nicked for victim intimidation! Plod Scotland are you watching???
  17. Still remember big Duncan Ferguson giving two guys who broke into his house a proper pasting a few years ago. Iirc one of them was taken to hospital and the other one ran off lol!
  18. Classic! They don't make em like they used too lol?
  19. Lol JFK I'm losing my mind!! Humblest apologies?? I have rectified my error. I'm off for a screen test in Only Fools and Horses ha ha!
  20. Couldn't agree more JFK. There is no life left in Scottish football and a club such as ours should be actively trying to evolve into bigger and better things.
  21. Aye, everyone's got an opinion mate. I've made my point. I shall move on.
  22. If you are happy being a European irrelevance and to compete in a Scottish league that will never challenge those in Europe again then fair enough. In a financial and footballing sense we need out of here if we are to grow and compete in a larger European and global context. Scottish football will never be what it once was and if we get the chance I am confident those who have responsibility will grasp it with both hands and get us out of here. FWIW that isn't running away, if nothing else its financial common sense.
  23. Nothing whatsoever to do with running/walking away. Mr Struths words were as relevant then as they are today, I'm not getting into semantics over those great words, they are sacred and not up for debate on a forum. JFK makes similar points to mine as do many others. If there are supporters who think Scotland is a prosperous and welcoming place to do businesses, live and play football for Rangers at present and in the future, we all have our opinions. I have mine and it won't change. The sooner we take our fans, our business, our money and our club elsewhere and evolve into an environment which is conducive for success the better off we will be. In life everything must change and adapt to suit its surroundings. It must evolve as life around it evolves. Anything that dosnt is destined for a problematic existence.
  24. Times have changed and so have attitudes towards our fans and club. Why stay in an environment where we are detested? Scottish football is dead on its knees, it could be argued that the revulsion towards Rangers that is harboured by many will play a part in its continued spiril into oblivion. There are many reasons to leave Scottish football behind. I would jump at the chance to see our club move on and leave this den of iniquity behind. Now, where's my Kleenex??lol.
  25. The sooner we are out of this corrupt, twisted backwater, with delusional, bitter, snyde and poisonous supporters of other clubs and imo a majority who follow the national team, the better off we will all be, both club and fans. The only good through all of the last four years is that the majority of bears, who before would refuse to accept the loathing that others had for us, have now seen the rest for what they are. Now the majority realise we are not welcome here and we must change, adapt and move elsewhere to prosper in an environment that will not use any event, footballing or otherwise as an oppertunity to inflict damage on the club and supporters.
