A lot of people absolutely missing or ignoring my point. We're in administration, we're going to potentially lose players without being able to sign any new ones. So, right now, it doesn't matter if it's David Healy, Andrew Little, Salim Kerkar or Rab McLinchie from the reserves - keeping every player that we current have is a lot more important than the petty remarks about their ability. It's horrible to say it, but we can't afford to be picky about what players we lose. We want to keep everything we can. But then most folk ignore this and chirp on about their ability. Again and again.

I assume you're not a liar, but you've just told a porkie. I've already said my reply was adding to your post. It was not in REBUTTAL. Yet you still make stuff up.
-
State it again, refresh my memory. Educate me on my mistake.
-
We agree on a lot you and I, but this is not only wrong but really stupid. A decent wee SPL striker who could do a job. A club who can't afford to lose any players. And some of us are snap judgement quick to say 'good riddance' or 'no loss' when our squad is being threatened with serious decimation. That's now Lafferty, Little and Healy some have been happy to wave off. I find this attitude incredible.

The Royals might not be down mines, but that is to suggest that anyone who isn't down a mine isn't a hard worker. Which appears a rather insulting generalisation if you ask me.
-
Wow, you're twisting the night away. From the very start I stated it was a minority. And can you quote anywhere where I stated that being a protestant means you smear catholics or other religions? Read what I've said - black and white, don't interpret it into something it isn't.
-
I didn't say it did. I was adding to it. And stop trying to patronise, you are absolutely RUBBISH at it :fish:
-
But it's another thing to smear a different religion on the basis of it.
-
Wrong. If we're getting tedious here, and I suppose we are, the definition of being bigoted is: "One who is strongly partial to one's own group, religion, race, or politics and is intolerant of those who differ." To object to marriage because it was in a place of Catholic worship, when the player is protestant and the club is associated with protestantism, does rather reek of being bigoted against catholicism. One thing is to object to religion, be it catholicism or any other, but quite another is to tell a footballer to fuck off because he got married in a chapel. What is a non-bigoted justification to this?
-
You're twisting it. People were complaining about it being a chapel. I can't stand religion or Catholicism indeed but I would never condemn Lafferty for getting married in one. I suspect others wouldn't have complained if he'd wed in a synagogue either. This is an anti-catholic stance from a minority and you well know it.

Not from what I see. So that 'yank go home' banner didn't happen 'in the real world'? It was from the Internet? Those fans online have different views in the real world to the ones they express away from an iPhone? There are institutions way older than Rangers with centuries of infighting - religion being a good example. Political parties being another. So, I disagree, respectfully.
-
There is no Rangers family. Never was. Just a hashtag to gain followers on Twitter.
-
I think you should state your position then.
-
Headline, FS, headline. In no part of the article does it confirm anything about what his position at Rangers will be. And besides, the Rangers official website is quite, quite terrible.
-
If you're condemning Lafferty for getting married in a chapel, what are you if not a bigot? Would you have condemned him for getting married in a Synagogue? If you're not condemning him at all, but merely defending the bigoted right to free speech, then I object to that a little less.
-
It's not about backing him, it's about giving him a chance in the absence of a decent alternative. Why are you and others desperate to condemn the guy regardless of what he says or does? I love also how you're assuming he will be CEO. And a reason for trusting Green is that Howard Kendall, to name at least one person, has spoken out in support of his business methods - I don't see any reason for Kendall to lie. We never got a single voice of support for Whyte.
-
On ability I don't think we'd miss him, but in our current state we can't afford to lose any players. Be it Lafferty, Little or anyone else.
-
You generally do a decent job of impartiality - I know you pride yourself on it, but your comments about Green from the start have rarely been positive. You're entitled to your opinion, but while you do still try to be neutral, you appear to have chosen skepticism about Green from the word go. I'm not saying you're wrong, hopefully you are, but the point is your stance from the start doesn't seem to be giving him and his consortium much of a chance. When he was announced you stated it was the wrong bid. Have any of the bids we've been linked to gained your approval? To your credit, you were also critical of TBK so there's certainly consistency here!
-
Dingwall is too anti anyone non-TBK to have a valid opinion on any subject. He's objected to every bid apart from that one. Anyone that focused on politics doesn't have the club's best interests at heart.
-
I stand by my opinion that you're out to get a reaction, but I also feel you've not said anything particularly offensive. Not to me anyway. If you've annoyed others though that's out of my hands.
-
If Lafferty was Jewish and got married in a Baptist church, it would matter as much to me as him being protestant and getting married in a chapel. Problem is it really does matter to people like you.
-
By Mark Daly? Zappa, all contracts are legally binding, that's the point of them. If Charles Green has entered into a contract, then YES! It really is legally binding.

Well, rubbish is a bit harsh. A lot of people in this country love the royals, whether they be Rangers fans, Partick fans or even maybe the occasional tim. Or even non football fan. I don't mind the royals, I think they're a pretty decent bunch of ambassadors for the country, apart from old Phil who really does come out with a lot of cobblers. But the rest represent the UK rather well, and bring in a shitload of cash for the tourist side. It's odd, but it's something Americans are jealous of the UK about - they would love their own monarchy.
-
As opposed to your self-depracating nature which entertains us all Casey.
-
A 'broad church' which condemns Lafferty for marriage in a chapel? I literally think you're here to troll the majority of the time.
