Dempsey, Donovan, Edu, Bocanegra, Onyewu, Howard, Friedel, possibly McBride if he still plays. Not Brazil quality but not exactly awful. And yes, that was without me looking it up!

I consider the SPL the warts up the anus of the football world. Horrible league. Rino would stroll it. I was only stating Milan supporters' perception of him.

Do Charles Green's recent comments & statements actually stack up?

Then I guess he's better placed setting up a fucking consortium of his own then! I'm sure he could do it! -

It's not like I usually take you to task on your posts Zaps, but this time I really do see a pattern. And you can deny it all you like, but I'm clearly not the only one seeing it. You're not alone in your opinions and dubiety, but there seems quite a distinct cynicism in your posts about him. Was this a Freudian slip? You believe he's a windbag full of empty and contradictory rhetoric? It's not an attack, not yet anyway, but you do appear to be organising your infantry. You're not a liar so I take the above on the face of it. I just didn't see all these posts. He came out the other day criticising Dave King - it drew a great deal of praise and was regarded as a fine statement. But not from you. It was posted http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/vb/showthread.php?43675-Administration-Statement-June-7-2012 there. I am sure you wish your caution to be ill-founded, but just at the moment, I can see little from you which goes any way to giving Green a chance. You're by no means alone, and by no means the worst, but you are quite consistent. -

To quote yourself in defence of Brian Kennedy when similar questions were asked by others of him: "Being liquidated or dissolved means nothing till you know the circumstances of each particular company." See, what I don't quite follow from those like yourself who appear to be pro TBK and anti anyone else is that you don't seem to want anyone else to succeed. The fact is Green is almost certainly the winning bidder and his consortium will be in control. You can complain with examples of business failures from his past all you like, it really makes no difference to the outcome. Indeed, all it does ultimately is provide you with the chance to say 'I told you so' if the tenure fails. That is literally the only achievement criticising Green will have if his consortium does not work out. Your posts are not going to influence admin into changing their minds and finding a new bidder. What I am saying is it literally is like having an opinion which only makes you look unnecessarily dubious and ridiculously negative. If and when he takes over, are TBK supporters such as yourself going to continue to snipe about him? -
By club you mean Max Allegri. A man who has the support divided down the middle worse than Boyd ever had us. I mean I hope I am not coming across as anti Rino or anything, I actually like him a great deal, I know what he can bring and having met him in his Rangers days I have a very soft spot for him, given also my support for Milan. But I know what fan opinion generally was of him by those without my tinted specs was, and how often supporters complained when he was in the team. I found it harsh at times, at other times his selection wasn't the best option.

As well as Brian Kennedy's business failure list. Some work out, some don't. Don't tell me you're actually going to condemn him based on business failures and ignore the successes? Even Bill Gates made mistakes in his business life. -
By a mile is a bit optimistic. That's like the assumption from fans that Roy Keane would be a sensation at Parkhead or that Rothen would be an automatic starter and hit at Ibrox. Gattuso has never been a great midfielder - he's a hassler, a warrior, a battler, someone who will run all day and can snuff out threats. But he has absolutely zero creative ability in him and in well over 300 appearances for Milan only scored 15 times - a woeful return for a midfielder. Alongside a more creative mid he could be terrific as the gritty DM, but that depends on having someone next to him who possesses creative threat. Only guy in there we have for sure is Davis. Ness is an unknown quantity still. Oh, and if we get Gattuso I can't see Edu remaining at Ibrox.

Who said few hundred. Let's get nearer a thousand. So that's over 1% I'll have you know. Anyway, the point is I have known more Milan fans, I suspect, than probably the rest of this forum's members combined, and opinion from the vast majority has been thanks for your time, and goodbye. Gattuso was appreciated as a lionheart but his ability declined rather in recent years, and at 34, he wasn't really up to the rigours of Serie A any longer. Some also absolutely hated him after the Jordan incident. Joe, not Katie Price.

If he's raised £8.5M from his consortium in a manner of months, I don't see why another £20M is impossible inside a year. Once we are out of admin, there is no evidence to suggest he cannot resolve our issues swiftly. All we need is a stable reliable business model, and that's his modus operandi. It doesn't have to take half a decade to achieve that. -

Getting a bit tired of this rather incessant anti-Green crescendo building up from you Zappa. You're trying to dress it up as caution and educated dubiety, but the fact you simply keep harping on about him negatively suggests you have some serious beef with his bid and consortium. I'm sure you were also critical of other bids too, but I must admit I missed the torrent of threads and comments you made about them in the vein of this one. We get it, you are super skeptical of Green and you question his honesty and integrity. You question whether he has the club's interests at heart or if he's trying to make a quick buck. As far as I've seen, he's been pretty transparent from the word go - and the only possible contradiction is the length of his tenure. Personally I see none at all - he never said he was in this for the long haul, just that 'we' are, in other words, his consortium. He personally always said he was intending to fix the club, balance the books, then leave it in the black for good hands to take over. But he never said his consortium was going to depart within a year. -
Gersnet's very own Groovy Gang. There are only 2 rules. No one talks about the Groovy Gang. There is no Groovy Gang.

What was the grain?

Gersnet has its own wee Likely Lad gang. You, gunslinger and caseyjones.

It told me it was under attack. I looked for aliens.

Interesting how your reply here rather ignores what I just said. I've known hundreds and you've altered that to 'a few fans' 'small group of people'. I am a Milan supporter and have been for a massive proportion of my life. Yet, somehow you dismiss my comments as inaccurate despite having absolutely no idea if they are or not. Is it just because I was negative about Gattuso in some way? I think it is.

They have the old Arshavin, who on his day, like, tonight, for example, is one of the world's great forward creative players. btw did anyone notice the hideous typo when Advocaat's name came up? 'Dirk' Advocaat...
-
I'm genuinely surprised Rino appears to be willing to take a massive massive massive wage loss. Looks like it has nothing to do with money for him, and that is honourable. I think it's about him completing his career journey and helping out his old club.
-
Out of curiosity, how come Borat didn't get called up to Poland's squad? Injured?
-
fwiw I agree. Cuellar was attached to a club, and injured. We couldn't afford the transfer fee or wages. Gattuso is a free agent, not injured, and there is no transfer fee. My only concern is the wages. He will need to take a near 90% hit to his old 80k a week rate. But he says it isn't about money, and has certainly made his millions in football, so maybe he's happy to be on a very, very modest wage.
-
Both, to an outsider, equally unquantifiable. Yet only mine was picked on.
-
You have my full and wholehearted forgiveness.
-
Not even vaguely, but then, I didn't raise the issue in the first place.

This tournament is threatening to descend into chaos - the racism is taking up more headline inches than the football.
