The team manned up yesterday, at long last, and most players did their jobs, sufficiently well to see off fhilth FC. Cantwell, however, was outstanding.

Shifty, furtive looking cove. Were his family transported as criminals? -

Cantwell was inspiring: class, energy, attitude. I think the fhilth will come to hate him. Which will be nice. -

We need 3, preferably more, of course. Our defence will gift them a goal, as is customary. The officials will, too, as is customary. -

Do I notice a certain fleetness of foot in this line-up? (With exception of Jack and Lundstram, in particular.) -

That was a child's toy, lost by some poor wean, from its pram. And you ate it. Any easy mistake to make, I am sure. especially, if you thought you were at The Fat Duck. Mind you, the fact that the 'balloon' part was not filled with the foamed testicles of camelidae should have tipped you the wink. Of course, if you had started on the stick, probably better to continue and avoid embarrassment. -

It's a safe bet that certain players will be selected, but few of them are safe bets.... -

I've just given myself the notion. Smokies, Jersey Royals, green salad, a nicely chilled bottle of Gewurtztraminer..... Have you still got Big Penny's phone number? -
Tighter than a crab's arse. I'm enjoying it, but am glad I don't have a dug in the fight.

Well, he couldn't find his way to Auchenhowie.. -
£5M is a bit pricey for us. He can play a bit, but he does need time on the ball, gets no protection from what passes for referees in SCO, and he probably thinks the standard of the SPL is scheisse. He can go. No reason to hold him prisoner, unless there is a profitable back to back with an EPL, or Spanish, team, on the cards. I am not sure if he has been so much a standout (best, or thereabouts, of a bad lot, really) as to make this a possibility, far less a a probability.

He certainly has some previously public money to invest. As do the chaps from Duff + Phelps. With open arms, sez I.

What about supporters' groups' politics? Sorry, if you have lost the will to live.
-
I thought that that was your job....

He might be surfing along with others, who are looking to invest. Although if he is just pursuing 'unfinished biz', then I don't know what he has got to offer an other investors, other than he is not an incumbent, and that he is one of the older whores on the block. Who knows? Not me.

Dave King, when Murray was i/c, put 20M GBP, or thereby, on the barrelhead. He lost it, and he has not, to my knowledge, recovered any of it, since. I have often thought that he sees this as unfinished business (as well he might). That would be his motive, he has means, and the present situation might present him with an opportunity. I have to say that I am not fully convinced, as I can't see how he can drive share value up and up and up, to the point where he can sell and recoup previous losses. I wish we could reach a time when all we (need to) talk about is the Fitba'. We seem to know more, and obsess, about boardroom cantraips than about the team.

That's a hate crime. Report yourself to Humza.

I was told last night that Dave King is on his way back. Don't shoot the messenger
