  1. May I join?
  2. Played like fiddles, I'm afraid, by the fhilth, and by the officials. I don't know what Beale does now. It's difficult to make rational decisions, I suppose, when you are staring down the barrel of a gun.
  3. Off his feet, studs up. No card.
  4. Was that incident 'a clear and obvious error' by the referee?
  5. Well, that is that, then. We will not be allowed to win this match.
  6. Glory, glory, hallelujah!!!!!
  7. When will you reveal the all important xG figures?
  8. We are not dealing with their aggressive and high pressing, are we? Nothing unusual, there, but if we can somehow discover the ability to play through it, we will expose their ropey defence.
  9. I fear that they will start like dervishes on amphetamine, and our lads will start, as they seem to have been doing, looking like they have never seen a football before.
  10. About the time Godot will arrive.....
  11. I have to say Butland, who has looked like an upgrade. One cavil: I had hoped that a better performing 'keeper would translate into a better performing, more solid, more confident, defence, but I not sure that this has happened (to say the least).
  12. Luton away, mind!
  13. It would be interesting -and enjoyable- to put that theory to the test....
  14. Something you share with our esteemed Manager/Head Coach
  15. It is a great pity that it was not so analysed before it was assembled.
  16. A friend of mine sent me this 'snapshot' which purports to compare Rangers and PSV Eindhoven, broadly, in financial terms. Neother he, nor I, can vouch for the reliability of the figures, but if they are anywhere near accurate, we might raise an eyebrow, or two.... PSV squad value 180m Rangers 113m PSV Transfers in - lang 12m, schouten 12m, pepi 12m Rangers - Dinilo 6.3m, Dessers 5m, lammers 3m, Cifu 1.4m Rangers Turnover - £86.45m PSV Turnover - £79.69m Rangers Wage Bill - £54.5m PSV Wage Bill - £47m Rangers Transfer Spend (2022-2023) - £28.5m PSV Transfer Spend (2022-2023) - £40m
  17. Schooled. Failed. I could take that, if I thought that lessons would be learned. They won't.
  18. The Cloggies have this game won, already, and that should be our ace in the hole.
  19. It seems, to me at least, that, historically, Rangers has always accommodated the fhilth, compromised with it, generally indulged its fads, foibles, and, let's be honest, its self indulgent tantrums, all the while displaying punctilious courtesy. By doing so, and by maintaining the infamous 'dignified silence', the Club has merely encouraged its behaviour and, of course has received little (read nothing) by way of quid pro quo. In fact, the fhilth has treated Rangers' position as one of weakness, and acted accordingly. The lesson is clear: to treat guttersnipe like gentlemen is a fool's errand. That the Club should even consider giving the fhilth X thousand prime seats with a view to receiving a lesser number, perched up in a high corner, with restricted views, in return, is absolute nonsense. The Club was duped into this arrangement before, and I hope it will not get fooled again.
  20. One of the very few pleasures left for a gentleman.
  21. He is a rarity, a throwback, even: a 'striker' who 'strikes'. I wish we had one down Govan way.
  22. Surely the Hibs' Board will consider the views of pearly white and gritty toothed Brendan Rodgers, which may well be available, free, gratis, and for nowt, in tomorrow's redtops? Maybe he will merely lazily recommend McInnes, although he has earmarked him for Ibrox, already.
  23. Stopped short of 'they broke out the flag of war': one of many provocative displays to which the vermin have subjected the indigenous population of this country, and its religion, all without censure.
