Match Thread [FT] Kilmarnock 1 - 2 Rangers (Tavernier 55; Lawrence 58)

Half an hour or so of utter keech. I think that the pitch figures too large in our minds. I don't know how we get back into the game. I worry that we won't. -

It seems appropriate that, tonight, we visit Kilmarnock, in Ayrshire, one of the heartlands of the Covenanters, because on the 28th of February, 1638, in Greyfriars Kirkyard, Edinburgh, the National Covenant was first signed. Today should be a Public Holiday, of course, but what chance of that, under current political arrangements? -

Eight. I have four 500ml bottles, but there is a bottle of Dom Rep rum on standby. -
It is always a pleasure to beat the fhilth: indeed, winning encounters against them is one of the few pleasures left to a gentleman. The circumstances, generally, are irrelevant. Some victories may be more important; some achieved in greater style; some even fluked, or against the run of play (which provide a particular pleasure): but they are all victories, will be recorded as such, and should be enjoyed.

They dropped two points, at the piggery, in Tim Time, with a little measure of controversy around the Killie equaliser with Bernabei, or an other, allegedly fouled in the build up, and Bro William Collum on the Var screens...... ....all of which made me smile..... ....still smiling.... Keep this grin on my face, tomorrow, Rangers!

They called him the Wee Prime Minister - primus inter pares, I am told. That says something, a lot, actually, when he was taking the field with likes of Baxter, Henderson, Miller, Brand, and Wilson. Nowadays, sadly, to call him that, or similar, would be to demean the man. A Rangers' Great. RIP.

Match Thread [FT] Rangers 3 (Dessers 5', 45+5'; Souttar 90+2') - 1 Ross County
Uilleam replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Looked at simply, 23 shots 'on target', with an xG of circa 5, and an actual score of 3, means that a lot of the attempts were straight at the goalkeeper, or at a defender, or weak, or sclaffed, or speculative/hopeful, or merely rubbish in some other way - about 18 !!- and that at least one 'sitter' was missed. Is this wrong? And if it's not, is it worrying, and, if it's worrying, how may it be rectified? -

Ross Co had, I think, 1 shot on target, and1 goal. What would we give for that level of efficiency? -

Have Ayr looked more dangerous? I'm not sure, but we are only a dropped knacker away from a replay. -

Disjointed, incoherent, sporadic. The cavalry on. Let's hope they can do better.
