Is the modern 'full back' more important as a defender or as an attacker? Opine. Or discuss, if you wish. (Note that a midfield general, from Ajaccio FC, then in France's Second Division, observed that attack is the best form of defence. He went on to conquer Europe, thereafter, with what was styled Boneyball.)

Throw in Charlton, and you'd need 500M GBP. Mind you, that would be your forward line sorted. How much wages would they command today?

FFS!! It was a Rangers' dressing room for a few hours. The other was a Thistle dressing room for like time. One might expect both sides to make them look like their own, for the duration. Psychology, 'n' 'at. -
And a boy who has yet to start shaving scored the winner.....(for Brazil). In Scotland, we would still be 'nurturing' (or some such rubbish) his talent, and would continue to do so, until he had a full beard, three weans -to different girls, natch- and had developed a prodigious drouth.

I think, but stand to be corrected, that the FAs are liable for injuries on International Duty, and financial recompense is made.

So, our National XI was horsed, fairly readily, 4 goals to nil, by a Dutch side without Sam Lammers - HE was not even on the bench !! Perhaps the country should be grateful for small mercies. Koeman, probably, is keeping him up his sleeve, as a wild card, for the Euro Championships.

OK, riddle me this: if this is not some outright chicanery involving Spamfolder FC, and pederasty central, how did Brenda Brent know, yesterday, that he wouldn't be watching Scottish football today?

I didn't misquote. You think that we shouldn't beat Benfica. I think that you are wrong.

They may be 'correct' (they were), but would we have expected such interpretation, in the normal run of events? -

Have we seen, tonight, Scottish officials "working to rule", as a result of the abuse they have received, and continue to receive, from the fhilth, it's players and managers, its executives, it's non- executives, and its supporters in the media? I, for one, certainly hope so. -

I think we could have won; I think we should have won. A minority opinion, perhaps. When you celebrate draws, you are only a short step away from "hailing" 'brave defeats', and that should never do. -

Butland is up there. The referee is not I thought that di Maria should have had a second yellow. Can't remember for what precisely. Sterling is the legendary Grail of a player: the defensive midfield striker. What a man! -

New format for Champions League post-2024: Everything you need to know
Uilleam replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
The UEFA Cup, (sort of) superseded something called the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, in the late '60s/early '70s. You may read all about it in Wikipedia, and be prepared for that once in a lifetime pub quiz question. -
