  1. And of course, their legs could "go", almost at any time, or either/both could be injured long term, by, say, a bad tackle from a disingenuous little ocker, playing for, oh, say, Motherwell, leaving the club with one or both ends of a pantomime horse.
  2. Yes, it is, BDO, being, as they say in Accountancy circles, "No mugs". My worry, now, is how to cope with two (2) good news stories in short order.
  3. Is this, my friend, what you called 'good news', in another post, on another thread?
  4. If this is the case, and Board members are using the pages of a tabloid the slant of which is antithetical to the Club, over which the fhilth has some significant financial influence, which is stiff, from top downwards, with Rangers haters, and are pee-heeing with its rent bhoys, to destabilise the very Board of which they are members, and by extension, the entire Club, then they do not deserve to be members of that Board. What, in such circumstances, they deserve is to be horsewhipped from Shieldhall to Shettleston, nothing more; nothing less. Rangers, after all, is not a fucking ego trip. We have seen enough of that in the past.
  5. Indeed. Cui bono? That is the question we must ask. Who benefits from the muckraking, and the mischief making, the overstating and inflating of facts? Not, I would suggest, Rangers. The Board does not need the imprimatur of the Daily Sellik to terminate the manager's engagement. Nor does it seem that a minority of the Board would use the pages of this comic to influence the decision(s) of the majority, on any matter, up to and including sacking the management team. There is a war on (there has been for some time) and we would do well to remember that, in war, the first casualty is truth.
  6. So, two guys, pushing 40 are to have contract renewals considered nearer the end of the season. Is this not prudent, given their age? Is this not something that many clubs would do? Particularly clubs in straitened financial circumstances? Or is this rasellik's house journal putting the mix in? Perish that thought!! Perish that rhag!!
  7. If the Board is minded to sack the manager, et al., why is it doing it in the pages of the DR? If the Board is split, how does the pro-dismissal faction expect sensationalist articles from the pages of the DR to convince the pro-retain faction? Surely I need remind no one that this organ is a fhilth dominated and funded rag, a propaganda sheet of the lowest and most obvious kind. It is, at present, shamelessly shit stirring, with the principal purpose of weakening Rangers even more. The issue of MW's competence is actually an irrelevance in this respect. There is a game afoot, and it requires Rangers to be out of the picture, otherwise engaged, or lying bleeding in a corner , desole et sans provision.
  8. Which of these millions of defeats were acceptable? Take your time; it will clearly be a protracted exercise.
  9. Let us be absolutely clear: last night's performance was unacceptable, on every level, and irrespective of allegedly mitigating circumstances. I said last night that if the rubes sang "You're not Rangers, anymore", I would find it difficult, if not impossible to disagree, as such an abject capitulation as occurred is not, and never was, the Rangers' way.
  10. How to beat Rangers: press high with energy, they can't deal with it; close down aggressively, and quickly, they can't deal with it; use the tackle, they don't know what that is; utilise pace against the defence, they can't deal with it; make the most of the set piece, they can't deal with it; for yourself, defend a high line, they struggle with this; and, lo and behold, they will lose the plot, the shape, the match. Copyright: well, just about any fucker (and his, or indeed, her, uncle).
  11. Well, better than him have been dismissed, for less.
  12. By the fhilth. It may help us in the league, but I take no pleasure from a victory by these vhermin.
  13. !5 mins max. The problem is that Hertz has a better midfield. And defence. And attack.
  14. I challenge anybody, anybody, to "take the positives" out of this.
  15. Game over. If the rubes start singing "You're not Rangers anymore", then I would find it hard to disagree. This is not a Rangers' team.
  16. Harsh, my friend; harsh, but fair.
  17. Unarguably, I think. Was it not a matter of the Dutch falling out with the German (or vice versa)? (You forget just how good some of these player were.)
  18. The Hertz has brought in c.11 players, and dispensed with the services of 4 or 5. Hence Jethro Tull could field an almost entirely new team, and one which has never played a competitive match. Even if he doesn't go for the full tandoori mix, it seems likely that his side will be, largely, strangers to each other. Rangers, therefore, should be able to win, and win well, by controlling the game.
  19. The monkey lies with the editorial control of both "news" and "sports". Add to this the financial sway that rahoops has over the Daily Rhedtop, and you can cosy up all you like to its employees - it will make no difference. You would require to lend it an infinite no. of chimps, with an infinite no. of keyboards, and an infinite amount of time, to have the slightest chance of generating a good story about Rangers in its newsrooms.
  20. Sorry, but you do him too much credit; Jackson is a paid whore, and, surprisingly for a peddler of cliche, not one with a heart of gold. Cast your mind back to Traynor's valedictory article in the Record, (which, extraordinarily, was actually printed!) to remind yourself of where the monkey lies, and where the monkeys lie. Jackson lacks talent, and principles, and thus neither can, nor will, move elsewhere.
  21. Why London? Are there no knee specialists in Scotland? Or are there no specialists here who could deal with his injury? If this story concerned a Rangers'player..........
  22. To me, Halliday always seems to get extra attention; some of the tackles he endures are brutal.
  23. The sweetmeat that is creepy Keith is a well paid muckraker writing for rasellik's daily news feed, his job, such as it is, to write negative stories about the Club, and to spread dissension between supporters, between the support and the Board, between the support and the management team, and between the Board and the Management Team. The principal aim , at the moment, seems to be to scunner Warburton, and Weir, to the point that they may leave. No doubt there was a 'clear the air' meeting the other day, with a 'full and frank' airing of opinion. I have had a few of these myself. I survived; others..... In the straitened financial circumstances of the Club (no credit facilities worth a damn, civil legal battles, low, or no, commercial income, criminal cases, difficulties, therefore, in promoting a large, successful share issue, etc, all rehearsed elsewhere), extension of further transfer monies must rest on the success of the signings made to date, particularly those brought to Ibrox for the SPL challenge. The jury, alas, remains out. Add in debate over the quality of those purchased when in the Championship, and the picture is even less clear. The manager's job, in the present circumstance, is twofold - to get the Club to a position where monies will be available for better players (from eg Europa League, domestic Cups, transfer profits) -to get the Club to a position where those better players will sign. It is not easy, but neither is it Mission: Impossible. The meretricious crap spouted by Jackson and other shills influences people, supporters, of course, but bad press is nobody's idea of a good breakfast. Remember, however, that such power, without responsibility, is naught but the age old prerogative of the harlot.
  24. For us, a doru dodged (as they may have said at Marathon).
