  1. Happy Days? (Actually, there is a lot of Beckett that might fit....)
  2. Now, granted, Old Sam didn't know much about the fitba', but he did know about the cricket. In fact he is mentioned in Wisden, the only Nobel prize-winner to feature in its pages as a first-class player. And sport's sport, right?
  3. I thought that it was a penalty. I don't think that the VAR Bhoys saw fit to review it. Scottish refereeing is a disgrace, with some officials quite clearly afraid to upset the fhilth; others make decisions based on what they were brought up to believe, that their team, since it's inception was regularly disadvantaged by officials. This is the ' always cheated, never defeated' mantra, the primary purpose of which was to maintain attendances at their matches, there being nothing like a community under siege mentality to rally the support. Now we see officials doing to other teams, primarily Rangers, what they think - what they have heard- was done to their team. Redress, they think. They think, too, that any non-Catholic official will, automatically, be biased against rasellik, which is nonsense, and offensive. Some are more blatant than others but even when it's benefit of the doubt, or very marginal calls, the default position is to favour one team. And now, we have Mr William Collum in charge of the whole shooting match. The question is why, when Scottish officials are of such low quality, that none ( no not one) of them will be officiating at the Euros, you would choose to appoint a current domestic referee to the most senior, and important, position, rather than bringing in someone from elsewhere, someone who might have the ideas and experience to improve matters?
  4. Dessers' injury can't be that bad, as he played for c. 20 mins after the incident. Surely?
  5. Erm......I forget.
  6. For the bhoys. And that is set to continue for the foreseeable.
  7. He couldn't get his bat on the fucking ball!
  8. As I said earlier, elsewhere ......And Willie Collum will be in charge of Scottish referees and refereeing for the next 20 years or so. Let that sink in. Let the fact that (as I understand it) there will be no Scottish officials at the European Championships this Summer sink in, too. Ponder why one of Scotland's second -or third, or tenth (you choose)- rate officials is deemed worthy of preferment, of promotion to run refereeing: recruitment, training, development, and appointment to the top grades of officialdom. It, em, might make you think.
  9. ....and facing Whispering Death, himself. Beyond folly, i m h o.

  11. Fuck this. Still the fucking bridesmaids.
  12. Amorphism. Confuses everybody bar the opposition.
  13. And rum'le them up, Rangers.
  14. Can we maybe walk before we can run, and just beat the fucking sellik?
  15. 'Relationism' is it? It sounds like a woke neologism for incest, and that particular, peculiar, peccadillo is, sadly, nothing new. But, for the avoidance of doubt: Merely because no cu nt on this forum, other than the Douanier, has heard of 'relationism', we may not assume that it is a 'New Thang'.
  16. You mean like the Charltons, or the de Boers? Or Jim Forrest and Alex Willoughby? Now you are talking: imagine we had Brian and Michael in the starting XI.....
  17. One General Relativity, and the other Special Relativity, I take it. Which one is which? (Asking for a hipster who failed the Physics paper at Largs.)
  18. Already I can hear the voices callin', and Harry Belafonte birlin' Oh, Hampden, in the rain The nonces goat several, and The Rangers nane.
  19. If the boy is here for The Glasgow Fair, the Rio Carnival won't be a thing.
  20. Worryingly good players. Not convinced that Southgate is the man, though.
  21. A Kosovan one, I imagine. He plays/has played for Kosovo. What kind of Scotsman are you? An English one? I doubt it, and before you start, let me say this: It is about time we took back Scotland and Scottishness from the shinner bastards, and assorted non-jurors of the SNP, Alba, and other deluded nationalists.
  22. Overconfidence, swelled heids, and the like, often come before a defeat, to say nothing of a week's partying. And it's a Cup-Tie.
