I think Paul has got the young French keeper signed but needs a stopgap for a year to bring him on. Just think!!!

I posted this before and didn't get much reaction but i think it deserves another chance! Tune: 9 million miles from Beijing Theres only one Glasgow Rangers, we all sing, Thats a fact, Its a fact they cant deny And well always love the Rangers till we die We are 12 billion light years from the rest, Simply the best, We are loyal and were true And well always love the boys in royal blue Were filled with desire, To watch the gers play, How they never tire, And fight all of the way We have millions of supporters over the world More or less And for the gers we all stand tall, For the Rangers are the greatest team of all. When the team are on fire, With victory in their sight, With a passion and desire, Well sing out with all of our might Theres only one Glasgow Rangers, we will sing, Thats a fact, Its a fact they cant deny And well always love the Rangers till we die Yes well always love the Rangers till we die.

What a lot of shit. I am a Rangers supporter. That does not mean i have to like or dislike England. If i choose to dislike the English football team then that is my perogitive. I have no hate for any English person but i hope their football team gets humped.
-
That is the horrible thing about it, it is such a powerfull\catchy song. If i am in the car i often catch myself singing it. My wife is Dutch and does not give a shit about football or religion but i have caught her singing the Billy boys. She has no idea what it is about or what it means but the tune is just lodged in your brain. We do have to try and kill it now though, for the good of Rangers Football Club.

The proof of the pudding will be in the eating so we will have to wait and see what he can do. I am not filled with confidence in him but if he is signed he should be given a fair crack of the whip.
-
Don't hold your breath waiting mate. Just like the police were cracking down on on-field violence only Rangers players seemed to be guilty. English hooligans can riot all over Europe! German supporters can kill a french policeman. But see if you dare to sing the Billy Boys!!!!

I think i would rather have waterreus than the Lionel Letizi. He seems to be pretty dodgy according to what i have read. I had hoped on us getting a top class keeper to be honest.
-
I am not biased i don't care who beats Engerland.
-
Portugal didn't play as a team. They all seemed to be playing for themselves. I certainly didn't see any champion material in them unless they improve 100%

I would have prefered Klaas-jan Huntelaar as the main striker. He is the man in form at all levels(also CL) i cannot understand that Hollands top strikers are van the man and Venegoor of Hesselink, totally stuns me. It has given me big doubts about van Basten as a manager.

Cammy is right to get rid of the the banned vertion it has to be put to rest for a few years. Maybe in the future another version will be permitted.

It really is now time to move on. Glasgow Rangers are surly more important than our will to sing a song, which in all honesty is more at home in in a barbarian choir. I remember many supporters saying if we sign a catholic i will burn my scarf and never go back to Ibrox. Well if they did, they have not been missed as Rangers have gone from strength to strength with season ticket sales. The dropping of all our sectarian, abusive songs is the next stage in Rangers turning into a club for all creedes and colours. Supporters should go to Ibrox to watch our great football club not because they think it makes them a better protestant or gives them reason to sing or shout abusive songs. Unfortunatly i do think a large group will keep singing the song and i think the only way for us to avoid a ban is for the club to give supporters bans and possibly the majority of supporters booing to drown it out. As Frankie says this is the time to stick together and support Rangers football club not a political faction.

Possibly, but i believe Le Guen will be the boss on who he does or dosn't sign.

The first team to beat PSV in Eindhoven. 0-0 at Ibrox and beating them 3-2 over in Holland. No one gave us a chance but we turned the game around and beat them. Brilliant! Beating Bayern Munich at 2-0 at Ibrox with Franz Beckenbaur in the team was also awesome.

If this is true i really like what le guen is doing. He is definately looking at the big picture and not going for one year success. The future is bright the future is L³range.
-
If we want to keep the tune this is the only way to go. Unfortunatly if 50.000 sing it this way they will still pick out the 200 that keep to the old version and we will still be bigots.
-
Agreed! Every time that FC Twente play a big team they start making Firework noises in relation to the Firework disaster in Enschede. Against Louis van Gaal they sing your wife has died of cancer. I find these soort of things far worse than us singing the billy boys.
-
Lets hope the minority now see they will be hurting the club by singing it, and now put it to rest. It has no place at Ibrox. It still annoys me that we seem to be the only bad apple in the whole of Europe It always seems to be Rangers that examples have to be set. I won't hold my breath waiting for another team to be repremanded.

That was your chance to get the old mouth to mouth Resusitation going. Or are you being faithful to the sheep.
-
Sounds a bit like Eck and Murray, putting in an offer they know will be rejected to keep the fans happy.

I thought it was a photoshop job when i saw it to be honest. I thought it was a joke. I wouldn't even wish that on Lennon. The poor guy has certainly been unlucky. I hope he recovers quickly.
