  1. Agree totally, Murray park was meant to attract and bring on young players but if you do not have a scouting system to match it then it is an expensive luxury. I am glad we seem to be doing something about it.
  2. There's only one Wayne Roooooneeeeeey He played like a Balloneeeee he used to be a toffeeee but now he is just offeeeeeee :D :D
  3. He probably meant that Gaz.
  4. Pele Cruijff Maradonna Don't forget when Pele played the ball was much heavier and the boots were also probably heavier. Most keepers were lucky to kick the ball past the half-way line in those days, now they can throw it further. When Pele almost scored from the half-way line against Russia(i think) it was something never seen before, now it is far easier. It is not totally fair to judge on tv footage as it was a different type of game.
  5. Ha ha normally there were hundreds of supporters around the presenter, this morning the streets were empty. They've all gone home, They've all gone home. Englands all gone home.

Thanks Danny it is probably a bad photo of him but he does look on the heavy side. Maybe Ronaldo is starting a fashion.
  7. Agreed Cammy i read that earlier. I also had the thoughts, is it possible for a newspaper to be bigoted against a football team. The Herald seem to be the ones with the biggest problem about sectarianism. They seem to see shadows behind everything we do or say. If we had of played Dundee utd in a friendly it would of been because they wear orange shirts. They seem to want report the bad things but not the good. Even Paul le Guens religion is bugging them it seems. How could a fine catholic boy join a sectarian team they seem to imply. In fighting sectarianism they have become sectarian themselves. Anything to sell papers i suppose.

Who is the guy in the second last photo, lying on the ground. He looks older than me and just as chubby.
  9. Over the the moon that Brazil are out, they thought they could do it with a few prima donna's and a fatty striker. Now they know just because you are Brazilian you are not gods gift to football. I am happy!!!! :D
  10. A contender for the most boring game of the cup after the Swiss-Ukraine game. But you never know if we think the worst we can only be pleasantly surprised.
  11. 0-0 Argies in penalty shoot-out. My glass is always half full!
  12. Are you sure it was not Colshy after your body.

I don't think your technically right Craig. If we have no strikers then the people playing behind the strikers automatically then become the strikers. If we have 3 strikers then all the rest of the team are behind the strikers, unless they are in front of the strikers of course. Then you have to take the phase into consideration. Was the behind the striker player, behind the striker in the first phase or did he come back from an, in front of the striker position. This would make him a behind the striker player in the second phase. Lets go back to the old 2-3-5 at least we all knew who was where.

Not sure, but if Sionko is as 2 footed as they say then he may be able to play in behind the 2 strikers. He seems to be fast and tricky. Prso, Boyd(Novo) up front with Sionko behind also appeals to me. That would make Namouchi out of work.
  16. I don't bet but i do think they will win it.
  17. I can't see past a Brasil -Argentine final with the Argies winning, Danny. Och well as long as England don't win it i don't really care. Just to think we would have to hear about it every day on the beeb for the next 40 years really guts me.
  18. Every one knows a meter is 39.37inches surlely. So 1 centimeter is 0.3937. 1500 centimeters multiplied by 0.3937 = 590.6 inches. 590.6\12 =49.21feet. or you can google for the answer;) http://www.manuelsweb.com/in_cm.htm
  19. argies for me 3!
  20. I am getting a bit worried he seems to be only after players he has worked with before. Seems to be showing a bit of a lack of imagination for me. That was Walter Smiths downfall, he stuck to the same players for too long.
  21. I don't really like the red and white diagonal. I would prefer just red with blue trimmings and white shorts. These shorts are horrible and look like he has 40 hard-on's sticking out. I have got the other red and white diagonal but didn't really like it either.
  22. That is the way i feel as well Jim. Hopefully we are starting to get the right people in the right place.
  23. Buba gonnie no dae that. We're still waiting for Curbishly to be named manager as Colshy promised us.
  24. Gianluca Pessotto the technical manager at Juve is thought to have jumped out of a 15 metres high window. As he was holding his Rosary beads it is thought he tried to take his life. Juve is plagued by a payment scandle at the moment. The Juventos players at the WC have left the Italy camp to visit him in Hospital where he is now out of danger.
  25. Why did the aussie player lie down in the first place i will never understand that. If he stays on his feet he can usher the tally back to the corner flag. Prof footballer???
