Dunn settle down and come back into reality. Under Eck we were dire and could not even put pressure on Celtic. PLG is also learning about our game and apart from hibs we have been able to dominate teams. Yes we got suckered today and yes we have a long way to go, but did we really think the world would change in 8 weeks. Addmittedly we are all disappointed in the new signings and they really have to do better but us getting on the backs of the manager and players isn't going to give them the confidence needed to improve. Patience is a virtue.("Patience is a virtue. The ability to wait for something without excessive frustration is a valuable character trait.)

The beeb gave Fergie the blame for losing out to Lennon but i will leave that one alone as i may sound biased. We have to look at it in a possitive sense. Nakamura was shite last year. McGeady could not get a game last year That means we can not expect our players to just fit in instantly. Gravesen is old and won't get better. Lennon is also on the slippery slope. Venegoor is not and never will be a good player he is just nuicence value. Miller is not and never will be prolific scorer. I still believe when our team get settled in, we will improve and start to dominate. Come January Le Guen will have a better idea of what is needed. That may not win us the league this season, but given time we will be financially better, which will make us stronger long term.

One of the things almost everyone had against Eck was that he could do nothing to change a game. Le Guen changed the team twice which according to most improved us, and we even started to get the better of the tims. Yes we got caught with a sucker punch but we did show in patches(according to the beeb, I did not see the game) that we can put the tims under pressure. I am still certain we are on the right road and and have to have faith in PLG. The Tims have a wage bill which will murder them if things go wrong, as we well know. We are in for the long haul, we just have to eat humble pie until things all fall into place.

Colshy i think this is something we have been moaning about since the 1960's and we will always moan about it!!

Well done mate, keep up the good work!!! We used to have a party emoticon!!!!

F**k me not Tommy Burns on our side. That must be an implant!!!

I don't want to be a negative person but we are getting Ckfud at every level. There was a topic last year how good our under 19's were but we got beat by Hibs. A training facility does not make you a top team a good scouting system can. We do not seem to have that.
-
When you play Hemdani at the back, you are not talking about a centre-half but a sweeper. That was in the old days a Bobby Moore, The Keizer, Dave Smith and Tom Forsyth. Can we have a sweeper in the moderen game where the offside rule is on a knife edge, with different levels of offside, I doubt it. The borders have changed and a sweeper will have to be the most important man on the pitch and make decisions worthy of a chess master. Maybe worth a try but not against the tims today.
-
Although you have written that system it really looks like a 5-2-3 to me. Ireally think we need to go 4-4-2 with Prso and Boyd. ------------------------------McGregor---------------- Hutten---------------J-Rod-----------Papac-----------------Smith Burke-----------------Ferguson------------Hemdani-----------------Adam ----------------------Boyd----------------------Prso

That somtimes means a player has had a good game by just simply doing his job and not sticking out.

Just a wee note on some interesing stats. On home form Celtic are ranked No1 having won all 4 of their games. On away form they have won 1 drawn 1 and lost 1 which ranks them as No. 9. After Saturday Celtic will have played 5 home games and just 3 away games. Rangers will be the opposite, played 3 home games and 5 away games. Maybe a draw will not be as bad as we think given Celtics away form. ---------------- Celtic-----------v-----------Rangers --------------Pld-W-D-L-Pts-Rank-___-- Pld-W-D--L--Pts-Rank Overall Record-7--5--1-1-16---1---___---7--3--3--1--12---3 Home Record--4--4--0-0-12---1---___---3--2--1--0---7----2 Away Record--3--1--1-1--4---9---___ -- 4--1--2--1---5----6

I was watching a Dutch football programme on monday night and they were discussing how Feyenoord were stupid to let Evander Sno walk away and buy players with half his skill. Having seen the highlights of the game on Tuesday i must admit the guy looked class. I think the tims must have tapped him. Big Sam and Gordy work together. Surely Buffel knew about him? Where are our Scouts?
-
I don't think that will be the team for Saturday. I expect J-Rod and Fergie to return. Hemdani had a stroll in the park yesterday and will probably return to the midfield with probably Adam or Rae who of course have not played many games. Prso will also return. Most of the team for saturday will either have been rested recently or not played many games. That with playing the tims should be energy enough. I do not see the tims pressurising us like Hibs did so a lot will go down to confidence, mentality and of course skill. We must not give Nakamura room to operate and Gravesen needs time to control a ball so we should be on top of him as well. If we give them room we will be chasing shadows again.
-
They have to prove big Sam knew and not just a load of twaddle from an agent and Sams son. They have Frank Arnessen actually making an offer so i don't know that Chelsea are in a better position than Bolton. Yes it happens everyday that is why they are investigating it. There are Banks robbed nearly everyday but that does not make it legal or acceptable
-
Well what a player Hemdani looks at the back. We must not forget that he was not really asked to defend, but a player with so much vision see's things long before they happen, and can cut it out before it becomes dangerous. Papac also looked class but with these two defending, the high ball will always be the danger. If we can get the midfield running the game, then the high ball is easy to defend for them, so for me the problem is still the midfield. Sionko disappointed yet again and to be honest give me Nacho anyday at the moment. The guy tries his heart out be it good or not so good. I think tonight must have brought more doubts to PLG, where and who he has to play. Hutton also looked good. Smith was also praised by the BBC but to be honest i was not too impressed with his performance tonight i thought he let players walk away from him in dangerous areas. One thing is clear for Saturday, Boyd, must start. Interested to see some of the team selections now.
-
Rangers ball movement is just far too slow.
-
Yep confused me to f**k. Still early but Hemdani looks good at the back.
-
Waw what a team! Papac and Hemdani as centre backs. Seven Scots in a Rangers team. How long ago was that?
-
Sorry Gaz don't agree with you there a player who is not sharp becomes unsure and that split second of doubt with a ball travelling at upto 80 or 90 mph can be the difference between hitting the goal or the corner flag. Confidence is one of the most important things in life for doing anything.
-
No i think all the new players will improve. They are going through a complete culture change on and off the park. Remember Larssen was also crap for the first while. The tims were wondering why he had been signed. In saying that not all players can adapt to the British style of football. Svensson should be able to, being Swedish.
-
Funny how you think like that when it comes to Murray, Cammy, but when it comes down the list to AM and Fergie it was tremendous achievements Even if we hammer them 8-0 on Saturday, we will still be facing the same problems as we are now - a chairman with no vision for the future, no youth development, no finance for new players, etc but, hey we fucked the tims........ Cammy F I agree with you on our Youth developement,it is a shambles at the moment. Even our so much talked about under 19's got beat on monday?. Yes you guessed it by Hibs. F

---------------------mcgregor------------------------- hutton---------rodreigez-------- papic------------ smith Burke------------hemdani---------ferguson---------Rae\Adam -----------------------------------Prso-------- --------------- boyd---------------------- I don't really know if i would prefer Burke or Martin, probably Martin to be honest as sceptic are weakest at RB and i think Martin would walk round Telfer or Caldwell. The problem is Burke gives the defender more support and i don't know if Rae or Adam can play on the right. I don't want to mention Si Si Si the guy that's done nothing on the right up until now. I really think Prso and Boyd have to play.
