I would imagine so, now that the war is over. I think we did well. We at least have a fighting chance of going through. We must not underrate Maccabi though they have beaten a few good teams recently. -
I can't disagree with that but on the football front we would have a great chance. I agree though the chance of crowd trouble would be high.

They will be saying we cut the grass to look like a sash next. If you look for spooks behind the curtains for long enough you will start to see them. Looks like a cheap easy way to fill a paper to me.

I am not so sure Frankie although january might be a bit too soon. PLG obviously wants a player who can score and link the play up. It would seem he is not too impressed with Boyd. I think if he gets a decent offer from a premiership team, he will let him go and try to bring in a player who can replace both Boyd and Prso.

I am praying for feyenoord. They are crap and i would hope to go. They have gone back 5 years by bringing van Hooidonk back as their main striker. The only danger from him is probably free kicks, but even with them he hasn't scored one in years. Their defence is worse than ours and Burke and Martin would run riot against them. So bring on Feyenoord!!!!

Papac in and Boyd back on the bench. Any bets on Boyd leaving in the january window.

Made his debut for PSV yesterday and lasted all of 17 mins before limping off. I would imagine that is the end of Kluivert as a prof footballer. I would say good ridence to him and a killer deserves no better. Pity he has made so much money that he will be comfortable for the rest of his life. Unfortunatly he will probably get a tv job.

Shota Arveladze keeps scoring for AZ. He is also a great target man and always free to recieve the ball. Why did we play this guy out of position for 3 years and why did we let him walk away. He crosses himself again when he scores but surely with all the religions and foreign players we have, it is time that we can accept that in this day and age.(Maybe a new discussion) Michael Mols is also playing well at the Mo. I do not think he is still Rangers class but it is nice to see him doing well.

I have just seen the highlights on Dutch telly and i am going to bring something in that no one has said. I think with the first goal McGregor could easily have come for the original cross. Von Hess headed the ball almost at the 6mtr line. The ball was so long in the air that the keeper would have been favourite to at least get a fist to it. Although he stopped the original header and got no help from the defenders after the save i don't think he can go faultless on this one.

I've just seen the new Nike advert with Matteratzi the guy that Zidane headbutted. They throw a bowling ball at his chest followed by an Us football player, and then drive a jeep at his chest ending with a demolishing ball. Zidane has unwillingly made that guy millions, i wonder how he feels about it.

Yep Murray started with saying he wanted the debt at a sustainable level, but it now seems he won't let go of the purse strings until we are completely in the black. I don't think we can expect much until he has a buyer.

Welcome to the board mate. I agree fully but i think trying Hemdani at the back may offer the solution for the CH position. Svensson may come on but i think he needs a run in the reserves to get used to the pace of the game. It is time Fergie is replaced he is just not the player he was.

I found out later that it was shown on a dutch pay tv station. The Football team my son plays for were showing it live, but i heard that after the game. I will now be looking in to getting that station on card sharing for future games.

I would rather look at why McGeady could put so much pressure on us. Why can we not defend high balls. That is more important than one missed chance.

The midday kickoff's knock the **** out of you. I was on the bev just to listen to it. My excuse was the nerves, I fell asleep for a few hours though at 7.00 pm. The wife says she loves OF games she gets the telly to herself.

Agree totally Stuart! Good to see you posting again by the way!

I heard on the radio that there was a few of the old party songs sung. We will probably hear about that.

Dunn settle down and come back into reality. Under Eck we were dire and could not even put pressure on Celtic. PLG is also learning about our game and apart from hibs we have been able to dominate teams. Yes we got suckered today and yes we have a long way to go, but did we really think the world would change in 8 weeks. Addmittedly we are all disappointed in the new signings and they really have to do better but us getting on the backs of the manager and players isn't going to give them the confidence needed to improve. Patience is a virtue.("Patience is a virtue. The ability to wait for something without excessive frustration is a valuable character trait.)

The beeb gave Fergie the blame for losing out to Lennon but i will leave that one alone as i may sound biased. We have to look at it in a possitive sense. Nakamura was shite last year. McGeady could not get a game last year That means we can not expect our players to just fit in instantly. Gravesen is old and won't get better. Lennon is also on the slippery slope. Venegoor is not and never will be a good player he is just nuicence value. Miller is not and never will be prolific scorer. I still believe when our team get settled in, we will improve and start to dominate. Come January Le Guen will have a better idea of what is needed. That may not win us the league this season, but given time we will be financially better, which will make us stronger long term.
-
One of the things almost everyone had against Eck was that he could do nothing to change a game. Le Guen changed the team twice which according to most improved us, and we even started to get the better of the tims. Yes we got caught with a sucker punch but we did show in patches(according to the beeb, I did not see the game) that we can put the tims under pressure. I am still certain we are on the right road and and have to have faith in PLG. The Tims have a wage bill which will murder them if things go wrong, as we well know. We are in for the long haul, we just have to eat humble pie until things all fall into place.

ckuf!!!!!!!! Another cross ball.
