  1. As i said i agree with you but i can also see the situation le Guen is in. I hope it does not turn into pig-headedness though.
  2. I can't disagree with you Craig but i really feel he has to give Letizi a chance to fail through bad play rather than injury. If it was based on a nine month injury and McGregor was great for 9 months then ok. 5 or 6 games does not make you a great keeper.
  3. Mixed feelings on this one McGregor has been brilliant and to be honest deserved to keep his place. Obviously le Guen has brought Letizi to Ibrox by telling him he is No.1, so it would be a hard decision not to give him the chance to prove he really is the no.1. Hopefully if Letizi plays bad le Guen will give McGregor his place back and not be too pig-headed to change. Look at the possitive he and we now know what McGregor can do, if Letizi does not prove he is better and makes a lot of blunders then McGregor will then get his real big chance.
  4. I seem to remember at learning in the under10's to make pass-backs to the keeper, next to the goal for this obvious reason. Seems Neville never listened to that basic rule.
  5. I really think for possible penalties, sendings off and ball over the line decisions it is time for a 4th official looking at video evidence. it should not include offside decisions though as games would last too long.
  6. I can't really understand why he would choose West Brom over Hibs and miss out on possible euro football every year. I am sure if he had waited, a more fashionable team would come for him. Now he has a chance of disappearing into the dark deeps of the lower leagues in England.

I've just read he had an exellent game against the tim reserves who had 9 first team players playing. In our time of need any chance of him appearing on the first team bench? Does anyone who watches the reserves see a future for him at Ibrox?
  8. Taking full points from the double header with Georgia and a draw in Italy is now a must. We have to believe we can win in Georgia and get in amongst them. Personally i would rather go out fighting than stuck on our own 18 yard box.
  9. I hate when we sit so deep, i think you are just waiting for trouble. If you are not dangerous up front then the other team can pour defenders into the midfield and it becomes harder to get the ball out. It is like the coach of Croatia said after the England game" it does not matter what you call the system it is about the movement over the park" We simply played with 10 men inside our own 35 yard line for most of the game and therfore deserved nothing really. I really believe if we went out and tried to beat that team today and got in about their defence we would have done no worse than we did and maybe would have had a chance to beat them. After Millers miss the commentator said with a ball like that kenny Miller is the player you want to get chances like that. Personally i wish Boyd had got it.
  10. I think McGregor deserves to stay in the team, but i think he has now done a stupid thing by trying to blackmail le Guen in the press. He should have let his performances do the talking and let him keep his place, not stupid threats of leaving.
  11. Here in Holland in indoor football there is no fysical contact or slide tackles allowed. It makes the game a quick passing game. Pass and move,i would imagine that is what Le Guen is looking for.
  12. I doubt it Rino. He had to be back at 4pm so he would have recovered enough to make the hotel. I wonder if he or his family will go back to Russia, i have a feeling being at home has opened up a lot of family problems on staying in Russia. I have a feeling if he goes back it will be alone without his wife. He is at work and getting involved with the Russians, it is far more difficult for his wife to do that. I have seen many guys going back home from holland because their wife couldn't settle and most people speak English here.
  13. What a chance it would give us if we could take 3points from Ukraine. Hopefully we are not in for the old freefall back down to earth. 12 points from 4 games is too much to hope for i suppose. 1 point would also be a success away as long as we can win all our home games.

  15. Just read the game was shown on the French TV5. Why the F*** did i not think to look there. I always wondered why it is on our cable as no one that i know watches it. Headbanger smilie
  16. Just watched the highlights and the atmosphere looked amazing. I have said in the past i didn't rate Walter Smith as a top manager but he is doing his best to prove me wrong. Walter you have brought fresh hope and belief to our national team, i will be happy to admit i was wrong when we qualify. Fergie done well today as well but i would love to see Fletcher at Ibrox as i think he has much more than Fergie.
  17. No thanks i'll leave that one to colshy. I will gladly have a pint with you again though.
  18. JEREMY CLEMENT has been all but ruled out of Rangers' Uefa Cup group opener against Livorno two weeks tonight. Seems Le Guen has already given up on him being fit for the Liverno game. Pity it would have given us the option of putting Hemdani at the back.
  19. Yeh go on rub it in, all the games exept Auxerre are all on my backshift.
  20. Link dosn't work Jon you just get the logon page for World.
  21. Meantime, reports in Austria today are claiming Le Guen has targeted Sturm Graz left-winger Christoph Leitgeb in a £500,000 January transfer- window deal. The 21 year-old - currently on duty with the Austrian national team - has been watched by several British clubs and confirmed he has been made aware of an interest from Rangers. Graz have serious financial problems and would not be able to turn down any realistic offers should Le Guen pursue his interest in the player. Publication date 05/10/06
  22. Yep it is in Fife Gaz that is why he probably signed for Raith Rovers
  23. Totally agree with you though Jon it is horrible reading a thread full of text, i normally pass it by as well.
  24. Wot 4 u do tht?
  25. If you look at the teams in the other groups, then finishing 3rd and getting a CL fallout, might not look as bad as it is. If we are 1st, we get a team who were 3rd in the Uefa, and there are going to be some big names amongst that lot.
