on the Uefa website is stated: If two or more teams finish equal on completion of the group matches the following criteria will determine the rankings. A) Superior goal difference from all group matches. B) Higher No. of goals scored C) Highest No. of goals scored away. D) Higher No. of wins E) Higher NO. of away wins. It is the old fashioned goal difference that counts so i guess we need that point. Champagne on ice guys! Shit i couldn't copy and paste that i had to type it.

I don't think any papers can be trusted if they smell a story.

As far as i can see we finished top of the group tonight without playing. Maccabi drew with Livorno which means they have the same points as us, but as we beat them we stay above them. Only Auxerre can come equal with us. Congratulations.

I think his best games for Rangers were in midfield.

Van den Broeck getting into the reserve team already at sixteen is exellent news. Oh! Or does it mean the reserves are crap? Van der Broek was in holiday in Spain and asked a local team for a game while he was on holiday to keep his fitness level up. Seemingly a man conected to the Rangers scouting system who lived there, watched the game and alerted Rangers of him. After watching him for a time they signed him. He played for the Geels, (Yellows) in Belgium.

Personally i don't think he will be in the SPL long enough to get anywhere near a record. If le Guen can sell him in january for a reasonable price, he will be off.
-
A bit off subject but i saw Tim Lovejoy doing a BBC programme on a sunday morning, Does he do both or has he left soccer am for the beeb?
-
I don't think we would have lost a lot of the goals we have done if he had beeeen playing. We may have had a few more penalties against us though for his wrestling in the box.

Thanks Gaz for your compliment i didn't think i was good for anything. Now youv© made my day. Huntelaar is actually going through a bad patch at the moment. The manager is getting the blame for trying to get him to play too much football for the team instead of scoring goals(sound familiar) He cost Ajax 9mill euro's so i think Gaz's price won't be far away, certainly 12-15 mill pound. I would be very surprised if a scottish team payed that soort of money these days and i would be even more surprised if Huntelaar went to the SPL Ajax have hit a slump at the moment and the frustration is starting to tell. Kenneth Perez was caught on telly calling the the linesman a kanker nigger(cancer nigger) (most dutch swear words have to do with saying people have a sickness). He has apoligised and offered to go into an area in Amsterdam where many blacks live and give coaching classes. Wesley Sneijder was also sent off for calling the ref a blinde Tyfuslijer( blind sufferer of typhus) which he denied saying he was shouting at a player with white hair and it was Wit(white) Tyfuslijer instead of blind. He still got red carded.

There is one thing if big vinegar dosn't make it then losing in the air is not such a problem as the rest are not known to be good in the air. The speed of Miller will be a problem especially if Hemdani and Svensson get too close to each other. We really have to beat them in midfield though and i do believe we are stronger in that department. If i was to bet i would go for the draw.

He was on loan to Morton.

You also had in the days of Alex McDonald a righthalf a midhalf and a lefthalf. These grouped together were called the halfbacks. I think that is what Elderslie is meaning.

Yeh some people would even rather talk about their telephone rather than Nacho Novo. I think it must be pretty annoying for Nacho to be better known in Scotland than in Spain. He will possibly have a passion to prove himself in spain as it may live with him for the rest of his life that he wasn't a success in Spain. Anyway back to the telephone. In the beginning when they were just out i thought that everyone with one were showoff poofs. Now i hate to to leave the house without mine. I must admit i hardly use it but it does give a sense of security in the event of the car breaking down or if anything happens at home.

What a prick that Lennon is! He fell like a ton of bricks trying to get Brown sent off. He should have got red for the worst ever play-acting

SSSHH- you are only allowed to think that.

Thats the one Craig. So you found the red light district did you. (wink wink nudge nudge.)

Clement Brands Rangers "Stepping Stone To Bigger Things"
pete replied to Beattie's topic in Rangers Chat
It seems to me that since Clement is back in the team we are seeing a rejuvinated Barry Ferguson. He gives Barry the support he has been missing for years. I have no problem that the guy has ambitions in fact i would find it strange if he didn't. His ambitions can only be good for Rangers while he is here. -
We have to hope he keeps producing the goods because we sure don't have anyone else who can fill his boots.
-
I would rather see someone who can score and also play football. As i have said before i don't see him any better than a super-sub. If he would stay at Ibrox in that role is another question. If Sebo is the one to fill the role i am afraid i have very strong doubts about that. It is the viscious circle i suppose, if he dosn't get a run he can't perform but if he dosn't perform then he won't get a run.

Ok I am going to go against the grain. I think(Just think) with coaching Hemdani can be an exellent centre back. Papac was praised for his first few games so i think he can also do the business. Yes we could do with a CB but for me getting the midfield and forwards right is the main perogitive. We lose the ball far too easily in advanced positions. A great target man goalscorer is my first wish.
-
I take it that will mean Hemdani coming into the midfield. Not a bad thing i think we should beat them without Barry. The more worrying factor was once again he hinted at no players coming in,in the january sales
-
One or two assists in how many games that is exactly the problem. Football is a game with 11 players and not 10 and chris Boyd. At this moment he is the best we have but i would be looking to replace him. You cannot learn to be a target man you are born like that. He may improve a little but will never become the complete package. I would not put Boyd as better as a super-sub.
-
Agreed Stewarty apart from the goal he did nothing yesterday. You can only blame the defence for the first goal(the punt) yesterday but many goals are created from lost possesion up front. Also he does have an eye for a goal but not for his fellow players, Prso sets goals up for other players, i don't think Boyd knows he is playing with other players.
-
I would rather see a big strong Mark Hatley. Chris Sutton kind of player that can control and hold the ball up front. I am afraid i am not a Boyd fan he gives the team nothing when he dosn't score. Yes he does score a lot but the fact is we cannot hold the ball up,in a forward position, which can also put extra pressure on the midfield and defence.
-
I wasn't arguing Ian but agreeing, the defence is the priority but i think we need to improve the midfield as well. Oh Yeh we need a striker as well.
