Statement over Pressley on the Hearts website at 6.00pm. I guess he will be leaving then.

Prso and Sionko seem to be having great games.

Just a wee word that won't help us but is maybe relivent to the thread. The feyenoord supporters club managed to oust chairman Jorien van den Herik and now hope a new board is brought in where the supporters clubs also have a role in the running of the club. I guess this is the situation the Rangers fans are crying out for but only time will tell if it works and exactly how much say the fans get. The one negative thing is den Herik could not set a foot in Rotterdam without fear of his life, and that is a thing i would hate to see attached to Rangers.

I still say we need to give any manager at least 2 seasons unless it is obvious that there is totally no shape or dicipline. I feel we have at times seen glimpses of reasonable football at times which does give me a bit of hope for the future.

I remember Mark Hately at AC Milan and he looked like he could not kick a ball. He tripped over his own feet more than he scored. He became a hero for us. Maybe there is hope for Sebo yet as a lack of confidence brings in doubt which loses you the split second needed to be in heaven or hell.

For a Quick short\long term fix i would sign two players. For the short term i would sign Pressley, maybe not everyones favourite but he does give 100% and does attack the ball. For the long term i would go for Alfonso Alves from Herenveen. He plays mostly on the left and can score from 30 yards inwards. He is the top scorer in Holland at the moment and all the top teams will be moving in soon. I reckon he will cost about 6 mill though whether we will take a chance on paying that soort of money is doubtfull. Scott Brown would also be a nice xmas present. Martins Afonso Alves Geboortedatum: 30-01-1981 Geboorteplaats: Belo Horizonte Nationaliteit: Brazilië Positie: middenvelder Einde contract: 2011 clubs Örgryte IS, Malmö FF, Heerenveen

It was a long post but all good points. No need to apoligise for that.

I agree that he is our best scorer and possibly unmisable at the moment but i would want him replaced with someone who can score and fight for the team. Not to mention someone who can control a ball.
-
It is expected that he will sign for AZ tomorrow to help AZ get through a keepers trauma. Waterreus who wants to go to America to play is going to sign at first until the winter stop but many think he is better than the AZ first team keeper and could end up staying on. Ring a bell?

You lot are f'n crap. Don't give up your day job.

Gribz FFs:ffs: it took me hours to type out the Fifa rules. please believe me for once.

Depends on his love for Rangers being bigger than the wages he will earn. He has stated that Rangers are his first choice.
-
It can also be mind games. If he says we need a centre half badly all of a sudden all the centre halfs cost millions. I think he knows what he needs but won't pay inflated prices fo mediocre players. The ghost of Sebo haunts him i think.

I really feel sorry for the real feyenoord supporters. Many were filmed today crying in the street while being interviewed. They are really worried a huge fine will see the end of the club. Normally i would say they will find someone who will save them but what sponser or businessman wants to be attached to a club with a so called support that regularly wrecks stadiums and even town centres. I don't think they are standing in the queue.

Three months without his wife!! What will he do for his Nat king Cole. His bag will be so heavy he won't be able to run.

Captain Steven Pressley is once again at the centre of controversy at Hearts, having not been included for Saturday's trip to face St Mirren. The defender returned to the starting line-up at Inverness last weekend, having missed the previous two matches. But BBC Scotland understands Pressley was involved in a row with the team management on Thursday. And Pressley did not train with his Hearts team-mates on Friday, despite being fully fit. In late October, Pressley voiced his concerns about squad unrest under the regime of club owner Vladimir Romanov. He was not selected to face Falkirk on 13 November and was an unused substitute against Rangers. His exclusion led to protests from supporters but the rift between fans and Romanov appeared to be healed after a meeting with the Russian businessman and the reinstatement of Pressley. I see Rangers putting in a bid for him. He would be a good stop-gap until we find a replacement.

Put this on transfer talk on the footie chat but i thought iit deserved a place on the Rangers chat. Personally i would be sorry to see him go as i think with the right partner and a defensive coaching he could be a great sweeper. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Marseille chairman Pape Diouf has denied he has any interest in bringing Rangers defender Brahim Hemdani back to Stade Velodrome. Reports in France had suggested the 28-year-old would return to his former club in the transfer window to help the French side resolve their defensive problems, but Diouf claims the stories are pure fabrication. "I have just been told about it, but that is not accurate information," he told But. "It is not reality, it has no base." It has also been confirmed this week that Marseille will play their behind-closed-doors game on January 24. Marseille received the one-game punishment early in November as a result of a bomb thrown by one of their fans in the 2-1 away defeat against Nice, which caused a fireman to lose two fingers. The January game against Auxerre was chosen because league officials wanted a mid-week game that could be played in the afternoon so as to reduce the possibility of trouble around the stadium. The decision comes as a disappointment for Auxerre's former l'OM boss Jean Fernandez, however, who wanted an emotional return to the club he left last season. "I am very disappointed," he said. "I didn't want to come back to Stade Velodrome in front of empty seats. "It would have really been a pleasure to play in Marseille in a full stadium."

The 28-year-old has been in superb form for The Dons this season, culminating in the November Player of the Month award. --------------------------------------------------------------- Aberdeen director of football Willie Miller insists club captain Russell Anderson 'is not for sale'. The Scotland international has been linked with a move away from his hometown club, with Scottish Premier League rivals Celtic thought to be making the 28-year-old a transfer target in January. --------------------------------------------------------------- Motherwell have signed Cork City defender Danny Murphy. The Fir Park outfit tried to sign the full back in the summer, but they were unable to finalise a deal. Murphy has agreed a two-year deal at Motherwell and will tie up his move when the transfer window reopens in January. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Cardiff are showing a keen interest in Stephen Pearson according to the Celtic midfielder's agent. Pearson will be allowed to leave the SPL champions in January after growing frustrated at a lack of opportunities under Gordon Strachan. Whilst a number of clubs are expected to come in for the former Motherwell man, Derby boss Billy Davies ceded his long standing interest on Thursday. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hibernian have refused to sanction pay rises for midfield stars Kevin Thomson and Scott Brown. Both players are highly coveted following some impressive performances at the Edinburgh side, and agent Wille McKay had been hoping to negotiate an improved salary for both of his clients despite them currently being held to long term deals. Old Firm rivals Rangers and Celtic have both been strongly linked with Brown and Thomson, whilst a number of clubs in England's Premiership have also been mentioned in conjunction with the pair. -------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now the transfer window is speedily approaching time to catch op on the transfer Gossip. TEVEZ WANTS TO STAY West Ham's sulky Argentine striker Carlos Tevez says he wants to stay at the club - not surprisingly, as FIFA rules actually prevent him playing for another team thus season. He stormed out of Upton Park last weekend after being substituted but insists he's ready to play under new owner Eggert Magnusson. "If the new owner wanted me to leave, that is what I would have to do," admitted Tevez. "I'd respect what he wanted as it's his club, but I'd prefer that he and manager Alan Pardew wanted to keep me." Meanwhile; West Ham are the latest club to be linked with West Brom's Curtis Davies, who is expected to be sold in January. The Sun says that the Hammers will make a £5m move for the England Under-21 centre-half. CHELSEA RIGHT BACK AT YOU... It remains their problem position - with Paulo Ferreira struggling to convince, Khalid Boulahrouz preferring to play at centre-half and Geremi little more than a stop-gap measure. Micah Richards is one name that keeps cropping up, but The Independent suggest Jose Mourinho is likely to look to the continent. The names in the frame are Seville's Daniel Alves and Valencia's Miguel, who also replaced Ferreira in the Portuguese national team. Miguel told a Portuguese newspaper: "Chelsea is Chelsea. It's good to know that they're interested in my game if the news is true. I'm very satisfied to hear that, I really am." PAVON TO LIVERPOOL Real Madrid defender Francisco Pavon is being strongly linked with a move to Liverpool, who could get him for just £500,000 in January as he is out of contract next summer. The rumours started in the Spanish press on Thursday and have been picked up by the Daily Mirror on Friday. The 26-year-old is clearly not in the plans of Real boss Fabio Capello. AND THE REST Celtic could make a move for Falkirk star Anthony Stoke,s who is on loan from Arsenal...Blackburn are ready to make a move for Liverpool left-back Stephen Warnock...Watford have hinted that they're ready to cash in on Ashley Young...Aston Villa's list of transfer targets includes Jermain Defoe, Robbie Keane and possibly Craig Bellamy. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Celtic consider Stokes bid Celtic have confirmed talks have been held with Arsenal regarding a potential bid for Anthony Stokes. The striker is currently on loan at Falkirk, who are hoping to hang on to the Irish teenager until the end of the season. But Falkirk could be gazumped by the SPL champions after Celtic's chief scout Ray Clarke revealed the club are nearing a decision on a bid for Stokes. Gordon Strachan recently praised the 18-year-old prior to the CIS Insurance Cup meeting between the two sides in which Stokes scored. And Strachan could now use the money from the January sale of Stephen Pearson to fund a bid for Stokes, who has netted 13 goals for Falkirk. Clarke told the Daily Record: "What we said to them (Arsenal) was that we would watch Anthony Stokes on four or five occasions and then make our decision. "To be fair to the lad, we've just about done that, and my understanding is we'll maybe have one more good look at him in action. "Once the Champions League group campaign is over with next week's final match in Copenhagen, we'll sit down on all our activities and the manager will decide the way ahead."

The French supporters all left fearing trouble. When the game restarted, there was nearly only Feyenoord supporters left in the stadium It must be horrible for the club to have these idiots supporting,no sorry not supporting, following you. A huge fine on the way for a club with no money.
-
Lets be honest he can't do any worse than Saha at the moment. Good luck to the guy. I am surprised he wanted to do it though as he has stated constantly that he only wanted to play in sweden for the kids schooling.
-
It was just an off the cuff remark i hope it's bollocks as well.

Yep i would agree with that and as Trailio said we will just have to hammer partizan. What is the chance of le Guen resting our best players though with an eye on the Celtic game a few days later? I would imagine quite high as there may not be much difference between a CL dropout and an UEFA 3rd

I only caught a short piece on the news so i don't know the whole story yet but they are not renewing licences because they suspect most of the owners are using them to launder black money. They are probably right as well. As i said it will probably affect the tourist industry as everyone goes to see it. Well they only admit to seeing it.
