We beat these teams with 10 men behind the ball and hit them with a sucker punch. That was his tactics in out games in Europe with Rangers as well,so i suppose that is what we will be getting.
-
I'll second you on all of that!!!! Welcome.

I think all that is coming out now Shows PLG was was indeed fighting dressing room cliques. Unfortunatly the instigator seems to be getting away with it. If Murray knew this then it is diabolical that he never backed his manager.
-
I agree with a lot of what you are saying here Malky but i don't think Boumsong would have been happy with Barry standing on his toes. We need a good midfielder

The rumours are getting stronger it would seem that Mrs Hiddink was in London recently shopping. The dutch newspapers are making out that she was househunting. As Abramovich is supposedly paying his wages for Russia they would only need to pay Mourinho off. Guus stated he knows nothing of the chelsea job, but hey do they not all say that.

I went into a bowling club a while back in Glasgow,St Vincent, with a west Brom fan and he said all of a sudden, i thought there was no football colours to be worn here. He spotted from 20 yards that a guy playing snooker had a jumper on with a breast badge of Wolves. No one at the club had given any notice to the knitted in wolves badge but he saw it from 20 yards.
-
Are they West Brom supporters then.
-
That is what i read on the dutch sites Jon that he was heading a consortium.

Why have many people been moaning about him the since he came back then? It is not about one game it is 2 or3 years I do not see as many full games as most but the games i do see plus the highlights, i have seen the same thing. Barry pick up the ball turn ,turn turn and hey 10 players behind the ball. Yes when he does get into a forward position he is dangerous but it does not happen often enough. Last year all his supporters gave the excuse, yes but the defence can't pass(Possibly the same people that are wanting Andrews back):rolleyes:This year we had Hemdani and Clement who can both pass and still Barry is picking the ball up from our defence. Also when he loses the ball watch the pace he has when he jogs back. It is good the TV camera's pan out or you would see the worms overtake him. The defence are then forced to make a decision on who to mark the midfielder who is running at them or the striker who they should be watching. That split second indecision makes them look at fault as they are caught in between. Watch for that believe me. He is not to Blame for the defence being pish at high balls and crosses by the way.

The thing i find funny is that Arsenal can't score unless Henry and maybe now and again van Persie do. Why are they letting a guy who has scored so much in such a short time, go so easily. He is only 18 for ffs. Surely you should try him before kicking him out the door. I hope they try and buy him back for 20 mill in the future.
-
Personally at this moment i would take him in place of BF. Better an enemy you know as an enemy you don't know.
-
And PS colshy it is not the names that give you away but your Modus operandi. Your posts are easy to spot.
-
I hope your keeping well anyway Colshy. We are not the best of friends but i wish you a happy new year.

VALDAS IVANAUSKAS, the Hearts head coach, insisted last night that he has no intention of selling midfielder Paul Hartley to Rangers during the January transfer window. There was also frustrating news from across the city, as his Hibs counterpart John Collins, maintained that Scott Brown and Kevin Thomson will not be leaving at any time over the next month, despite both players stating their interest in joining Celtic. It is understood that Walter Smith, who is set to succeed Paul Le Guen at Ibrox, is interested in signing Hartley having worked with him at national level. One international player who will not be joining Smith at Rangers, though, is Nigel Quashie. The Scotland midfielder had been linked with a move to Ibrox but yesterday he left West Bromwich Albion for West Ham in a deal worth up to £1.75m. On the back of that news, Rangers could step up their interest in Hartley, whose agent, Mark Donaghy, is expected to meet with his client this week to discuss his future, which has been in doubt recently following an internal disciplinary hearing. Hearts fought off bids from Hartley's boyhood heroes Celtic two years ago and Ivanauskas hopes any attempt Rangers make to sign the player, whose contract expires in summer 2008, will also prove unsuccessful. He said: "Paul Hartley has a contract with us and he is a very important player here. I am not thinking about a sale. It's normal that Rangers have interest, but I haven't had a call. I think Rangers are in an interesting situation because they need a new manager. I know Walter Smith and Ally McCoist are in with a chance but there has been no news about Hartley from them." Meanwhile, Collins said he was "very, very confident" that Brown and Thomson would remain at Easter Road despite interest from Celtic and Rangers. Brown was quoted in a Monday morning newspaper report stating that he would prefer a move to Celtic rather than Rangers: "They are two massive clubs but now if Hibs and Celtic can come to an agreement then I would prefer to join Celtic," said Brown. Thomson also stated: "I think the prospect of the last 16 of the Champions League and being a part of what is being constructed there makes Celtic the only football option." Celtic have adopted a watching brief on the Thomson-Brown saga while West Brom are expected to use the money from the sale of Quashie to make a bid serious for the pair. Tony Mowbray, the West Bromwich Albion manager, is a known admirer of his former players at Easter Road but Collins dismissed the prospect of either player leaving this month. "We have good football players here so there will always be speculation," said Collins. "I never said they [brown and Thomson] were for sale. I want them to continue to play football here. "I am sure there will be sometime when they move on, that is inevitable, but not in the immediate future. I am very, very confident of keeping them and ultimately the decision will be made by myself and the board of directors. Meanwhile, Norwich City are understood to have contacted Celtic over the availa-bility of second-choice goalkeeper David Marshall. The 21-year-old has only featured twice this season, but is more likely to go on loan in a bid to find first-team football. Stephen Pearson, meanwhile, has returned to Celtic after failing to agree personal terms on a move to Derby County. Danijel Ljuboja, the Serbian striker, has revealed that he rejected a £1.5m move to Parkhead despite the offer of a big wage package. The 28-year-old moved from German outfit Stuttgart to rival Bundesliga side Hamburg instead. "Celtic offered a large amount of money to me in the summer. They were even in Stuttgart in order to convince me of the move. We are speaking here about a very prestigious and good club that plays in the Champions League. But the everyday life in the Scottish League simply didn't interest me." Elsewhere, Jon Daly finally completed his move to Dundee United signing a two-and-a-half year deal at Tanna-dice yesterday after United manager Craig Levein agreed a nominal fee with Hartlepool.

Buffel wants to prove himself at Rangers Thomos Buffel has ended all speculation over a possible transfer to AZ. The Belgian midfielder wants to stay at Rangers and fight for his place. Az had already stated they had no interest in him and Buffel also said the story was a fable "i want to stay at Rangers and prove myself in the months to come and hope i can get into the pictue again for the Belgian team. They have never told me why i have not been called up recently." "I did indeed have problems with PLG and that resulted in me being dropped to the bank.We couldn't walk through the same door together. Dropping Barry Ferguson put the final noose around his neck i think."

Funny Brown was saying all along he wanted to come to Ranger. Now after all the trouble he has a preference for the tims. Frightened of dressing room fueds possibly.

I would go as far as to say i wouldn't mind the SFA keeping him i am not really that happy he is returning. I feel it is a step backwards. I would rather give McCall and Coisty the Job. He will come though one way or another and if McCall and Coisty do come then i don't see why he cannot do the two jobs until the qualifiers are over.

We have been discussing for months and possibly the last 2 years that BF isn't doing what he should be doing, as in not getting forward. We were told that he was a poor wee injured soldier and it was great he was playing at all. Barry may not have a say on who comes or goes but he was in a position to sabotage the managers tactics I heard as a joke that Strachan was interested in him but that would be a big chance if he can fuck up our dressing room at the team he supposedly loves,he would really run a mock over there.
