  1. This article is my thoughts entirely, i wish i was bright enough to have written it. I wasn't keen on Smith first time around as i feel he inherited a great team and watched it wither away. His Euro tactics were walk on the park away from home and keep 11 players defending our goal. Try and steal a win at home. This was also his Scotland vision as i see it. More of the same for us then.
  2. I've got an option on nicky whelan, anyone interested. I will have her nicely trained for full satisfaction,
  3. Feynoord will appeal after they take legal advice after they get all the papers in giving the motivations for their ban. Seemingly Nance were guilty of selling tickets all over the ground to Feynoord supporters who turned up without a ticket.
  4. If Rangers sign Culina then i don't think we will be going for Brown.
  5. For those who read my every word, and i believe there is someone in outer Mongolia, they will remember a post i done on going to a FC Twente match, where i pointed out that one player stood out head and shoulders above the rest. That player was Jason Culina. Since that time PSV signed him and i thought shit i wish Rangers had signed him. On saying that 3 things worry me. He never made it at Ajax. He played 7 games with PSV. Since he left, Twente have gone from a bottom of the league team to a 4th place team. The last point is a bit of banter as he can't be blamed for being the difference as there have been many changes. I thought he was a good player and a class above the rest of the Twente team of that time but he has struggled at PSV. I do rate him higher than what i have seen of Charlie Adam.
  6. Agree but disagree to an extent, he must not be allowed to blackmail us into selling him on the cheepo. I would rather let him eat dust for 3 or 4 years rather than let him rule our club on his price.
  7. As long as Fergie keeps trying to be a one man world beater he will stiffle everyone, even his manager. Fergie now has to let Hemdani take the ball from the defenders when possible and start playing in a more advanced midfield position,or at least parallel to Hemdani to offer two options out of defense.
  8. I was on the Gersforums which gave me the oppertunity to keep in touch with Frankie. I am sure there are a good few Gersnetters still on there. It is for me second to the Gersnet but the verbal and picture leniancy of the Gersnet makes it number 1 for me. Plus i think of most on the Gersnet as friends i don't know.
  9. I feel PLG knows we are sitting with an unhappy player who only wants to go to him and will hold out until the last minute of the tranfer window to negotiate a price. He knows we want a replacement and will hope we drop the price on about january 29\30th as we will need time to set up our deal.
  10. Totallly agree that his communication was a big problem, and i don't think we should ever sign a coach again who does not have an understandable grip on the English language. Although i don't think BF was squeaky clean and think he has been a whisper in the corner of all the managers he has played under. Possibly he did not even realise he was was doing it and possibly he did think he was doing it out of his love for Rangers. I do now however have strong suspicions that with the speed that PLG was swept up by PSG, that his leaving was a total setup. As for Murray that is my feelings totally that he has bought himself time by appointing Smith and his masterstroke McCoist. Smith would have bought him 6 mths tops but with Coisty on board that has become 18 months and maybe more. Willie- RIP
  11. Good to be back!!!!!!

    Rumour

I've never thought of you as the pied piper before Frankie. I can just picture you playing a flute leading everyone to the bridge.
  13. This was a cowardly assault hitting the guy from behind, deserves all he got and maybe more.
  14. Going on the fact that i don't think a manager with a club would take the job,i would go for George Graham. Burns is no more than an assistant and should not get the chance. We would have to get a translator in for the press conferences. I agree if jefferies would leave Killie to take it on he would be a good choice imo. Eck- Possibly if someone else decides the tactics.
  15. I can't say i disagree with any of that really the benefits of keeping him will probably be more than 100.000. I see it becoming a pre-contract.

    David Weir

Is he not a bit slow?
  17. Don't give him all the answers for the future Craig.
  18. Sorry i don't agree, i can see where the SFA are coming from. They had a manager with an 18 month contract now they have to pay top price to get a new manager. Success for a manager is expected not an extra. Rangers should pay up to get the man they\we want.
  19. Well i am now in the huff again, but i am staying for the long haul.
  20. I will own up to one thing Mrs Hiddink wasn't in London that i know.
  21. Surly that wasn't Colshy ??? If you hand a donkey a carrot he will eat it.
  22. The Ibrox club are believed to have offered £100,000 to the Bairns for the in-form, versatile 24-year-old who is also wanted by Wolverhampton Wanderers. "This season is vital for the club, and it's crucial we have at our disposal all our current resources including Alan," said a Falkirk statement. Meanwhile, the Bairns have signed Manchester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel until the end of the season. Gow, who can also play in midfield, was on target in Falkirk's 2-0 Scottish Cup win at Berwick Rangers and hit a hat-trick against Dundee United on 1 January. "Supporters should realise that there are a large number of clubs who appear to be interested in securing Alan's services and there will no doubt be further discussions during the transfer window," the statement continued. Dane Schmeichel, 20, was recommended to Falkirk by City boss Stuart Pearce, who is a former team-mate of Bairns assistant head coach Brian Rice.
  23. Nice one mate. I remember i posted on the BBC site that i sat next to Arthur Numan and his wife on an Easy jet flight to Glasgow\Amsterdam with Konterman and his wife in the seat in front and i took dogs abuse for it. It was honestly true. I did say to Numan i thought you would be first class KLM and his answer was why should i pay 2000 euros instead of 200. One good thing came of it i went on the huff and googled and came up with the Gersnet. Sorry mistake it was Guilders in those days.
  24. Only in the dressing room. Just messing around mate i couldn't resist giving the answer i gave. I am not Barry's biggest admirerer and to be honest i would take the 4 mill that Villa have been reported to be ready with. Maybe if Barry does his own job instead of trying to do everyone elses job i will change my opinion of him. To be honest i think he makes more fighting gestures than he does actually fight. Watch the speed he jogs back at after losing the ball. Watch how he dosn't pick up any players when defending unless they stand next to him, but moans at others for not doing it. Taking the ball off the toes of the CH or Clement,Hemdani which lets the other team get 10 men behind the ball. He may be fighting but not in the right way. Maybe he will listen to Walter instead of getting him sacked.
