PLG and others have done a massive amount of work for the Rangers support but I haven't seen a book about it yet. -

I am afraid I agree with PLG. I don't stick my head above the parapet and am looking from outside in, but it looked to me that Craig grew a huge orchard of self importance. -
I did hear BH asking and was going to, not object, but advice against it as we did it before and one of our members was attacked because of it. Funny enough because I thought BD and everyone else was happy with it I just went along with it. In retrospect I think it is now better to remove them. My face will not be seen around Glasgow much but the others will be. In saying that some of our posters photo's are freely available on Google from other sources and it does not seem to harm them much. As I say better to remove them now but I can understand that BH thought he had everyone's permission.

Rangers Pull Out Of The Development League For A Season
pete replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Interesting conception. -
I thought everyone was going away otherwise I would have had another beer with you. Too late now but it was great meeting everyone and thanks to BH for organising it. Food was excellent and a good choice on the menu. I hope I can make another one.

3-1 Rangers Waghorn

Sorry BH I have just seen this as I have not been on today. I don't think that anyone has done anything but it is on the late side now. If you feel like doing something then it is great. Even if you just write a short piece to start the thread then that would be great but don'feel an obligation to do it,just if you feel you have time and the energy. Even just a couple of paragraphs.

Christophe Berra: Defender leaving Ipswich Town to move closer to Scotland

Surely we can get Berra than him. -
Dick Advocaat to manage the Dutch national team again
pete replied to BEARGER's topic in Rangers Chat
Unfortunately the best players aren't Dutch. Hakim Ziyech who is their best player could have played for Holland if Danny Blind had let him play a game. He didn't and now he plays for Morroco. -
Can we have volunteers to do the last three games please. As I am in Scotland on holiday I won't be able to do one. If we could get 3 different writers for the last 3 games that would be great. The games are: Sat 13 May 12:15 Scottish Premiership Rangers VS Hearts (????) Wed 17 May 19:45 Scottish Premiership Rangers VS Aberdeen (????) Sun 21 May 12:30 Scottish Premiership St. Johnstone VS Rangers (????) Thanks!

Dick Advocaat to manage the Dutch national team again
pete replied to BEARGER's topic in Rangers Chat
Frank de Boer would have been welcomed but was not interested at this time. The fact is the younger coaches have failed to stand up above the old gaurda or are not interested. Peter Bosch at Ajax would also have been a candidate but again he is not interested at this time. Just to make it clear though Advocaat is a short term fix just to finish off the EK qualifiers. There was just nobody else with the skills that wanted the job on a short term contract. Someone on here said that Dutch managers are so old school but the fact is the new school has gone dormant. I will admit though Peter Bosch at Ajax came in at the beginning of the season and introduced a whole new system of attacking football. unfortunately for him it cost him a lot of points in the beginning. The players now understand the system and are now playing excellent and are also exciting to watch. if the league was to start now Ajax would walk away with it. They may still win it if Feynoord don't give themselves a shake at the weekend. I am amazed a Dutch team could reach the final of a European tournament and I am still not sure they will as I can see Lyon winning 3-0. I am not an Ajax fan but I hope they do win it. -
Case against Green, Ashley and other ex Directors.
pete replied to aweebluesoandso's topic in Rangers Chat
I may be wrong but I can see that if Green and gang fight the case and lose then they will open themselves up to prosecution for fraud. In dropping the case or negotiating a middle way they could fore come that. Just an opinion not based on knowledge. -
Dick Advocaat to manage the Dutch national team again

Just shows you the mess the KNVB are in. A man who walked away leaving them in the lurch the last time for more money. Left Belgium in the Lurch for more money and leaves nearly every club he goes to in the lurch for more money. The guy is just a money wolf and has even sneaked out of his Hotel when he was at South Korea to join Zenit without even telling William van Hannigem his assistant he was leaving. It shows you how toxic the Dutch team has become when they can't find a better candidate than him. This also has another side to the story. Hans van Breuklen the technical director of the KNVB travelled to the Emirates and told Henk ten Cate that he had the job. A few days later Van Breuklen phoned ten Cate and said I know I told you you had the job but we also want to talk to Dick Advocaat first. Ten Cate told him in a nice way to stick the job up his rectrum. The KNVB is in a worse state than the SFA. The president of the KNVB called a press conference and intimated that the KNVB had taken measures and had dotted out a new route for the Dutch team. Then he intimated with pride that the new route was that the Dutch team were not going to lose again. Winning was the game plan. -
i watched Reading play Man City in a woman's match yesterday and two of the Man. City goals were from a long throw-in. The Lassie could throw it further than the middle of the goal. I have seen guy's do that but I never expected it from a woman. Well done to the ladies.

How can wealthy ex-Gers players help put money back into the club?
pete replied to 917's topic in Rangers Chat
Most Dutch teams have an open day just before the start of the season. It is used to introduce new players and for the other players to mingle with the supporters. Sometimes they even include trials for kids. My nephew was spotted by Sparta Rotterdam at the Sparta open day. They took him out of the club he played for and put him into a feeder amateur club playing much higher football. Unfortunately he went off the rails with anger when his father died when he was about 13 and he then became a problem kid always in trouble and subsequently stopped playing football -
Nothing to do with this game probably but while watching a football programme one of the Pundits said if a team knows they are playing against a technical team they don't cut the grass, I had heard of making the pitch smaller but not cutting the grass was new on me.
