I didn't watch the game but I watched the pundits at the end and a part of their report was how poor Portugal were at defending cross balls and showed about 5 occasions that Russia were near to scoring from crosses. I wasn't watching close enough to watch Alves but the pundits were not impressed with their defending of crosses.

RFC negotiate new 12 month retail deal with Sports Direct

Just one more thing I saw a lot of Rangers gear in Buchanan street centre. Some good looking T-Shirts. I didn't realise what it was so I just walked past. I read on FF that some supporters have a stall there. Now I wish I had stopped to take a closer look. -

Were they training with their old clubs? In other words are they starting from nil or is it just match practice they need? -
The deal was only done yesterday and the press conference was called in a hurry so I don't see how C1872 could have contacted all members. Maybe they want to know what the deal is before releasing information. It is too fresh to start finding fault on their actions on this.

As I said in another post, I think the judge in the retail trial may have something to do with it. Not in the know but the time frame seems to fit in. Judges do sometimes get opposing parties round a table and batter their heads together. We will never know for sure. Maybe Ashely has just got bored of his new toy. It was costing him a lot of energy for virtually no return and a lot of bad publicity. I took a walk round his shop in Sauchiehall street when I was back which has a pretty prime location and it was also at a prime time. It was empty. The assistant came racing over to me to ask if he could help me to which I replied "No I am only looking I would rather drop dead than buy from Ashely" I got a left hander from my wife, and I know the assistant can't help it but it felt good. I felt as if I was leading the revolution at that moment. -

The Airport is just a publicity stunt. -
I would still like a small countdown clock to Kick-off of the next game. Don't know why just to build up the tension.

I wonder if the judge in the retail case has had a word in the ear of SD. -
I agree with all this is the best site around. The only thing I would say is indeed a player of the week with everyone giving points to the players although I do realise the amount of time it would take someone to keep it working. I think the password started when it was thought that Eightballs mate from NI ( i can't remember his name) had a fight with Eightball and threatened him when they travelled over to Ibrox. After that it was thought he had hacked into somebody's (Eightballs) account. I may be wrong.

Rangers will run out in front of a packed Ibrox crowd for their first European clash in six years next Thursday. Pedro Caixinha 's side were today drawn to face Luxembourg minnows Progres Niederkorn in the Europa League first qualifying round and the match is almost certain to be a sell-out. Gers fans will finally get the first chance to see their six new signings, including striker Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Jack and Dalcio in action, in what will be the Light Blues first competitive match of the new season. With all this in mind, it's not taken long for one TV company to get busy in striking a deal to show the first leg match for those who can't make it to Govan for the return of European football. Premier Sports tweeted this evening to let Rangers fans know they have secured the rights to the game and they were well pleased with themselves. Europa League Draw - Rangers v Progres Niederkorn Delighted to confirm live UEL from Ibrox of @RangersFC first game in Europe in almost 6 years against Progres Niederkorn. — Premier Sports (@PremierSportsTV) June 19, 2017 The pay-per-view station, did similar last season when they covered Aberdeen and Hibs Euro exploits but came under a bit of criticism for the lack of pre-match build-up and their coverage in general. Gers fans all over the world won't be complaining though at getting the chance to see Caixinha's new recruits in action. When is the game being played? The match will take place on Thursday, June 29 with the kick-off time yet to be announced. Where can it be watched? Premier Sports can be found on SKY channel 428 and Virgin channel 551. How much does it cost? The details have not been released yet but last season's coverage of the Dons Europa League adventure, was advertised as costing £11.99 for a one month subscription and it could be the same for Gers fans. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rangers-vs-progres-niederkorn-shown-10650605 -

I don't really understand why you never booked from Tuesday to Friday as that would have covered all the European football days. -

I read on FF that there was a bus running from Dusseldorf and contacted the guy. Unfortunately you have to be in the travel club to get a ticket. And for that you need to be a season ticket holder. -

I had a Holiday in Luxembourg and the thing that stood out for me was the amount of languages they speak. Most speak French,German, Dutch and English. -

FC Progrès Niederkorn European competition The club has never won a game in European competition. Niedercorn's only managed two draws (and only one goal), the first was against Glentoran in the 1981–82 European Cup, where they drew 1–1; the second was against Shamrock Rovers in the 2015–16 UEFA Europa League. -

I am not accepting that we lost these games because one Alistair Murdoch McCoist thought we could send a half fit team who had just started training for the new season against teams that were midway through their season. Ally McCoist lost us those games by being in holiday in Portugal(LoL) up until 2 weeks before the tie. -

I don't think you can class Rangers as a normal 1st round team though. If we had not had our problems our coefficient would be far higher and we would have probably been seeded in the third round. -
The Mexicans have work permits. They are waiting on a Visa. I am not sure if they can be registered without a Visa. I would imagine you can. It can take up to 10 working days to get a Visa but I don't know when they were applied for.

I agree mate and that would kill me. Especially the humidity. I believe it is also very humid on Bermuda where Craig lives, that is why I am not one bit jealous of his weather. I just couldn't handle it. I would be wringing my shirt out on a 15 minute basis.

Water is the spring of life. While we complain when it rains we really shouldn't as it is a wealth that we should not take for granted.
