There are rumours of a big announcement on the financial front today stemming from a tweet from club 1872. Also ITK posters saying the same from sources at the club. Possibly 1872 having bought Ashleys shares? The tweet said: We have passed the 62,000 follower mark. Wonder how many new followers we will get tomorrow Latest news here: More here: https://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/chairmans-welcome/

RFC negotiate new 12 month retail deal with Sports Direct
pete replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Does that mean that all money collected now by SD via these outlets will be paid in the 75\25 deal? How long will it take before Rangers take over the running of these outlets and the money will not be paid to SD or is it the meaning that all money will remain to go through SD? Or is SD keeping control of the megastore and online sales? -
Surely the TV licence that you must have covers their costs or am living in the past?

My Question remains is the manager good enough. I have still not seen anything to prove he is but he has a clean slate for the new season. -
unfortunately people are forced to pay for the BBC otherwise they should be boycotted as well.

Post By Grandmaster_Suck from FF The Daily Record was banned from the Sports Direct press conference Dave King ordered that nobody from the Daily Record be allowed into his press conference yesterday about the Ashley deal. He has finally lost patience with their continual sniping and anti-Rangers agenda. Yet today the Record put Keith Jackson’s name on the story despite the fact he has long since been banned by Rangers as an individual. The coverage in the Record of the feel good story was to try and turn it against King and against Rangers and the way it was presented, given that they did not have a journo there, could even be thought of as a fraud on their readers. The tone of it clearly showed just how angry under pressure editor Murray Foote was. He threw the dummy out the pram. The latest circulation figure for the Record for May is 147,000, down 14.5% on May 2016. It seems now that rabid Dundee United fan Foote and his equally rabid Celtic supporting sports editor Austin Barrett have taken a conscious decision that they no longer want Rangers supporters to buy their rag.

That would make it some month. -
I suppose it is better than losing 3-1 to German amateurs.

Well he got most of it right. SD did sue us,there were plenty of old shirts on the shelves and we did cobble a deal. The bit he missed is it is a pretty good deal. 100 times better than the deal we had. -

We only get 50% via Sports Direct. Better waiting until that is all sorted out. -
The shirt already exists if you want to buy one. http://www.thefernandoshirt.co.uk/

Personally I wouldn't let anyone dictate what colour of shirts we wear. Dundee UTD wear Orange shirts so I don't see it as a problem. I have more problem with pink shirts to be honest.

I nearly typed something similar he is forgetting who runs the SFA and SPFL.

Ayrshire dad brands ex a 'dirty Orange b*****d' in row over son's Celtic top Daniel Morgan admitted to sending a text that was threatening, abusive and sectarian. A young mum was unhappy when she found her three-year-old son wearing a Celtic FC top. The tot’s dad had picked him up from nursery, Ayr Sheriff Court heard. And the mum went to collect him from the house where dad Daniel Morgan lives. But when she got her son back to her own house, near Troon, she saw he was wearing the Celtic top. The court heard she was concerned due to her son’s age, and the issues that can surround Old Firm colours. The mum texted her former partner saying: “Going to do me a favour? Don’t put a Celtic strip on him.” Morgan texted back: “No.” But the mum insisted: “Sorry, but I don’t want him involved in this kind of thing, until he’s old enough to make up his own mind.” Morgan texted back: “He’s not involved in anything. He’s been to CP. Don’t be sorry. He will always be a critic. Dirty Orange B*****d.” Depute fiscal Iain Gray said the young mum took this to be a reference to her religious beliefs, as well as being abusive. And she contacted police. When Morgan, 23, was questioned by police, he stated: “I’m a Catholic. She’s a Catholic.” But then he looked at his phone and remorsefully said: “Why have I done that?” A lawyer for Morgan said he had been in a relationship with the child’s mother for nearly two years. It had ended in 2014, but everything between them was normally alright, with shared custody of their son. Ayr bully who abused two partners is jailed for three-and-a-half years “I don’t know why he did this,” said the lawyer. “Since the offence he’s not been allowed to see him.” The court heard Morgan lived with his parents in Kilwinning. And he had a job paying £300 to £400 per week. The charge Morgan admits states that on May 12 this year he sent a text that was threatening, abusive and sectarian. And the charge is aggravated by both religious prejudice and abuse of an ex-partner. Sheriff Mhari Mactaggart imposed a fine of £400 on Morgan, payable at £20 per week.

Joe O’Rourke warns of another Heysel Stadium disaster

just as a piece of useless information I watched a documentary the other day and it said that one the stoke fireboxes was burning out of control even before it left Belfast on it's last voyage. There were photo's showing a shadow on the hull which they claimed was was weakened metal due to the fire. Before the crash with the iceberg the fire had spread to other fireboxes which was why the ship could not slow down. As I said useless information. -

I read on FF all the money is still getting made over to SD. I think I will wait until everything is finalised and I am paying Rangers. -
Kick-off was 2.00pm No info on the website. Anyone got anything on twitter?
-
Which is nothing. I would still like to see MOH tried an attacking full-back to see what he can do there.

I can help a little in your search for information. It isn't me!

Anyone know anything about it? When are they playing mainly.

It must be getting near a price where we can buy other players just as good and possibly younger. If this bid fails I would drop it and look elsewhere. -
I didn't watch the game but I watched the pundits at the end and a part of their report was how poor Portugal were at defending cross balls and showed about 5 occasions that Russia were near to scoring from crosses. I wasn't watching close enough to watch Alves but the pundits were not impressed with their defending of crosses.

Just one more thing I saw a lot of Rangers gear in Buchanan street centre. Some good looking T-Shirts. I didn't realise what it was so I just walked past. I read on FF that some supporters have a stall there. Now I wish I had stopped to take a closer look.
