Greatest supporters in the world? My Arse! The scum of the Earth!
pete replied to pete's topic in General Football Chat
I have not clicked the Record for weeks but I did it by mistake yesterday when I meant to click onto the sun. The Record have the guy's singing it as the victims. I couldn't believe what I saw. A story totally turned round to see them in a positive light. I have now cleared the Record from my favourites so it can't happen again. -

Griffiths was heard to say "your team's deid mate, beat it."
pete replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
it is Griffith's brain that is deid. -
Mexico city does have a large Portuguese population so you would think that that spreads around as well.

The Pre-Summer-2017 transfer rumours and hearsay all inclusive Thread

Agree a striker who scores little is not really good enough, although I think he can take a lot of credit for the Miller goal. -
The Pre-Summer-2017 transfer rumours and hearsay all inclusive Thread

CATHRO OUT Ian Cathro leaves Hearts with immediate effect. I wonder if this will do anything to the Walker transfer. -
This said I would imagine if it is for RTV he will already have seen the questions but I am sure he is just as sharp with the press.

It took me a lot longer to learn to speak Dutch but for a Mexican you would think English is a second language. He is also probably getting lessons that i never had.
-
Graham Spiers I think.

I can't argue with that. I can only add that is not just a Rangers problem and maybe even a social problem. Certainly a football problem. My last OF game before I left Britain was the famous 1980 Police horse charge game. That was terrible that day with bottles flying down all about us from further back up the terracing. I managed to get myself behind a pillar but many were taken away with head wounds. Not that it would have made it right but the chances of them hitting a Celtic supporter was nil so it was just premeditated bombardment of your own supporters.

Strange I thought he was pretty sharp to be honest. He thinks very quickly on how to answer without giving much away. He could be a politician.

A big hint about Pena there I feel when he said some players are finding it harder to settle than the others due to language and getting used to the training and the city.

I wonder what would happen if the club led the singing with follow the bouncing ball on the big screens?

I read between donating directly and club1872 it was more than 3000. I never knew of the club 1872 just the address above. Some supporters who were there are saying it was just a bit of banter with the man and nothing was taken seriously. Either the man thought differently or the paper is blowing it up for a story. If you now read the story it has turned to alleged harassment,

A football supporters group is donating money to Sheffield man John Burkhill's charity appeal to say sorry for alleged harassment he suffered during a friendly match in Sheffield on the weekend. Rangers FC's Club 1872 group started the crowd funding page to 'right a wrong' in the wake of trouble Mr Burkhill faced outside the ground on Sunday before the friendly with Sheffield Wednesday. The Macmillan Cancer Support fundraiser, better known as Sheffield's Mad Man With a Pram, said he was sworn at, and had his wig stolen by fans. Mr Burkhill said it was because he was dressed in green, the colour of Rangers' rival Celtic. Rangers fans were hitting back this afternoon, raising money in support of Mr Burkhill. The page has raised more than £1,400. One anonymous contributor, who donated £10 to the cause, wrote 'From a Rangers supporter with apologies for the idiots who mishandled you'. "Sorry you had to suffer at the hands of 'so-called' supporters," another, who donated £20, said. "I hope my small donation helps to assauge some of the pain and humiliation you were put through." Another man said his donation was going towards the 'wonderful' reception Sheffield Wednesday gave Rangers. Mr Burkhill walks thousands of miles in Sheffield for the charity. Rob Turner, Macmillan Cancer Support's Sheffield fundraising manager, said: "We were shocked to hear about the incident. "John is a tireless supporter who has already raised more than £300,000 for Macmillan. "Fortunately, this is an isolated incident – as John says, it’s never happened before in his years of collecting. "We’re continuing to offer our support to John and help him with his incredible fundraising, which will make a huge difference to people living with cancer.” Read more at: http://www.thestar.co.uk/news/rangers-fans-donate-to-sheffield-man-s-campaign-to-help-right-a-wrong-after-hillsborough-incident-1-8679397

I am pretty sure John will fight his corner and even admit he was wrong if and when the time comes. Let's not forget we are talking about 3 Friendlies. As Bill said, once the blood and thunder starts will be the time to judge. As the old song says "You ain't seen nothing yet" That can be positive and negative. I think everyone would love Pedro to succeed but he has not shown much to suggest that he can until the last few weeks.

The only thing that made me a bit critical of the guy was that he is collecting for a cancer cause but they took away his cigarettes. He should know better.

There is already one going so anybody who wants to donate can at. https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/madwalker This is his own account, I already sent a donation. Hopefully a good few bears will do it as well.

Any chance we can set up a bank account to send this guy a donation for his fund.
