  1. Hector the Mexican. Aye right. does he wear a Mexican kilt. was it not Hector that got his Maw to make him a pair of underpants for under his kilt but forgot to put them on. He was so proud of his undies on a first date wae a burd he pulled up his kilt and said: See ma material hen I've git yards 'o'that at hame.
  2. Parking the bus will be suicide. We need to keep the lines tight but not on our 18 yard line. Let them pass it along the back 2 making sure Tierney and Lustig only have time to pass it back to the CH's. As soon as it is a forward pass to midfield then close them down as quick as possible. Stupid fouls around the 18 yard box could also be deadly and they will be looking to go down with the brush of a feather. Anyway we have a game tonight let's worry about Saturday after we beat Thistle.
  3. Who the F*** hasn't had trouble with their wife?
  4. 2-0 Rangers Windass
  5. No way Rangers will sell him any time soon unless they offer silly money.
  6. Happens now and again. A job for Frankie or Blueflag. If it asks if it has permission to leave the page then answer yes otherwise you get a double post.
  7. Halliday makes league bow for Qabala, Forrester and Dodoo benched again Alasdair Mackenzie @aksmackenzie Online Sports Editor Andy Halliday made his first league start for Qabala on Saturday Andy Halliday made his first league start for Qabala on Saturday 1 comment Get the latest local news straight to your inbox every day WITH several Rangers players plying their trade across British football this season, we take a look at how they fared over the weekend. Scottish Premiership Michael O’Halloran (St Johnstone) The on-form winger had a good chance in first half saved by Scott Bain, but failed to get on the scoresheet as Saints fell to a 3-2 defeat in the Tayside Derby against Dundee. O’Halloran was substituted with 21 minutes remaining to be replaced by Craig Thomson. Azerbaijan Premier League Andy Halliday (Qabala) The midfielder finally made his first league start for Qabala as they beat Sabail 3-1 in the Premyer Liqa. Qabala now sit in third place in the table, three points off leaders Zira. English League One Harry Forrester (AFC Wimbledon) Forrester came off the bench on the 74th minute of Wimbledon’s 1-0 away win at Blackburn Rovers, but is still awaiting his first league start for the club. Joe Dodoo (Charlton) Dodoo also had to make do with a substitute appearance, coming on with 22 minutes remaining of Charlton’s 1-0 defeat away to Gillingham. Scottish League Two Robby McCrorie (Berwick Rangers) The Wee Rangers came from two goals down to beat Elgin City 3-2, with 19-year-old McCrorie again starting in goals for the League Two side. Berwick are now up to fifth place in the table. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/15542017.Rangers_loan_watch__Halliday_makes_league_bow_for_Qabala__Forrester_and_Dodoo_benched_again/?ref=mr&lp=26
  8. I really like Pedro. I think he makes a better PR man than football manager though.
  9. I really like Pedro. I think he makes a better PR man than football manager though.
  10. I loved Pedro's statement in which he said something like I have no problem if you pull him up as long as you do the same for people in the future and the past. He obviously meant Lennon.
  11. No but we can take the wheels off because we have a Jack. I'll get my coat.
  12. I don't think miller has been dropped i think he is being rested for Saturday.
  13. Miller is not even stripped tomorrow. He has been given a day off.
  14. Burying your head in the sand is also a way to look at it. How many games has Pedro actually won since taking over? I don't think his points lost games are far behind. When you add that some of the results have been the worst in our history then you have to look who is at fault. It was said we should judge him when he brought in his own players but Herrera Dalcio and Pena have hardly been near the team. How many months do they need to gel? Warburton's players were considered crap but every week nearly 50% of the team is Warburton's players.. Pessimists is just a word optimists use to justify themselves not being realistic.
  15. Players don't get 6 months to gel in these days they are paid far too high for that. "Okay we will give you a contract for 2 years but you can be crap for the first 6 months and put it down to gelling problems" If players can't make a difference in 2 months then they shouldn't have been signed. Nobody has ever mentioned relegation material except you now but not getting 2nd place or beating teams like Partick Thistle are just as bad for Rangers teams.
  16. On Tuesday Rangers return to Firhill for the second time in 5 days. On Friday night both teams fought out an exciting 2-2 draw. It was tale of 2 halves. In the first half Rangers dominated most of the play and should really have been more the 1-0 up before the break. After the break was a different story with Thistle looking far sharper and far more up for the fight. That is quite alarming really as it seems to be coming a serial fault. In the game against Dundee we were also lucky not to have lost a goal directly after half-time as we seemed to be hunting for first gear let alone third gear. Partick were far more aggressive in the second period and that showed on the amount of time the players were allowed on the ball before a crunching tackle came in. Thistle were given a lesson on just how dangerous Morelos is when he gets a sniff of the goal. One touch and wham the ball lay in the back of the onion bag. As I reported in my match preview might happen, they then put a defender purely to mark him out the game in a stop him at all cost mission. Jordon Turnbull was assigned to the task and he did his job well in pulling, pushing and generally doing everything to frustrate the Rangers Striker. In fact thistle had 5 yellow cards and 1 red to Rangers 0 yellow cards which may tell a story on it's own. Thistle should have had a player sent off when the score was 1-0 for Rangers. Ryan Edwards foot came over the ball crunching in to ryan Jacks shin. whith his other foot stamping on Jacks foot. Whether this was intentional or not it should have been a red card as it was a possible leg-breaking challenge. The learnings from this game and indeed the Hibs game which we also lost seems to be how we handle things when teams up the aggression stakes and how much will a referee allow before he sends players off. The Hibs game was a disgrace in refereeing and hopefully such will never be seen again on a football pitch. Some of the crunching tackles on rangers players this season are bordering on assault and many seemingly with the rubber stamp from the referee. So Tuesdays game will largely be based on how aggressive Thistle and Rangers come out of the starting blocks and how much the referee will permit before pulling in the reigns. Not all aggression is bad of course and it is a part of the game that Rangers can probably improve on. We will certainly need to learn how to handle it when other teams come after us. One thing is for sure, Morelos can expect Jordon Turnbull to be waiting for him in the tunnel at Firhill and will try not to leave his side until they reach the dressing room after the game. The saying “By hook or by crook” springs to mind. Rangers Captain Lee Wallace is out of the next 2 games with a groin injury leaving the left-back berth open for the new loan signing Declan John. He made his debut on Saturday with a reasonably competent display, willing to push forward when needed. He now has the next few games to try and make himself first choice for the left back berth. Nico Kranjcar and Jorden Rossiter are both struggling with knee injury problems and although Nico trained on Sunday he will be assesed by a surgeon as it is the same knee that kept him out for most of last season. That certainly doesn't sound like good news. Rossiter is not training and won't be considered which will also probably mean he is out for Saturday as well. In the past Pedro has rested Wes Foderingham for cup games so we will probably see Jak Alnwick in goals. The rest of the team will probably stay the same as Saturday's starting line up, except for Wallace of course. Alnwick Tavernier Cardoso Alves John Candeias Dorrans Jack Windass Morelos Miller There is a possibility of course that Pedro will rest Miller to keep him fit for the Old Firm game and thus bring Herrera in as the front man with Morelos playing around him. I doubt if Pena will get a start in place of Windass but it would be nice to see what he can do over 90 minutes or at least the first sixty minutes. Hopefully the defence will stop giving stupid goals away as a cup success early in the season would boost our confidence levels no end. Come on the Gers!!!! Just threw something together quickly. For me anyway.
  17. You forget one thing about the Battle of Britain. The British had far less planes but they had the new spitfire which was far superior to anything the Germans had. The pilots actually added one piece of equipment themselves. The rear view mirror of cars so they could see behind them. Simple and true. Rangers do not have superior equipment than Celtic unfortunately but against them that does not always count so I am pretty confident we can win if the defence does not give away stupid goals.
  18. After watching the goals on Sportscene again last night I hope the first thing Pedro does this morning is grab Alves Cordoso Tavernier and Candeias by the ear and march them into the video room and show them their woeful defending. I hope he turns to them one by one and says"What the **** were you doing. If we defend like that against the tims then look out for another disaster. Alves may think he is playing at the level of lower league Portuguese football but his defending was amateur level.
  19. Okay Boss will you pay the Taxi as I don't fancy the bill.
  20. I thought that is what forums were for discussing things. Surely we don't just want to follow a party line and say everything is Rosy in the garden when it is obviously not.
  21. To be honest I am not sure. Personally I think the board have a lot to say in who comes in. Jack was a Warburton target. Dorrans was a board target as far as I know. The Portuguese\Mexican was Pedro I would imagine. Whether Pedro had much to say in the other signings I am not sure.
  22. Not sure what that has to do with it.
  23. That wasn't Pedro's signing it was JJ that pushed him.
