Cheers mate. A great read as normal. The funny thing is, if we can beat Thistle and Hamilton under Mutry he will have won 3 in a row something his predecessor couldn't achieve in all his time at the club. He still has to do it though.

Rubbish! No point in answering that. You have obviously made up your mind without witnessing it. The only thing I can add is set your watch and look how many minutes of actual football you get. If you think there is not 30 seconds between a team scoring and the kick-off then I will leave you in your belief.

I agree that players should not have the power to bring down a manager but I will ask if there is a place to turn to if a player feels he or others are being unfairly treated by the manager. I would imagine that the DOF may now play a part in that but he was not in place when all this started. All of a sudden we are hearing of people being sexually abused to bullying in their work environment. one of the big points is that they had nobody to listen to them. Managers often use their position of power to belittle people. I know as I had a manager that I could not get on with. I will say that I am also not the easiest person to manage. but he was willing to lie and pounce on any small thing I did wrong to give me an official warning. I also found that the human resources department were backing him and not listening to me. Getting back to Pedro there are a few things I would say asks questions about his man management. Why would you ask Professional football players to turn up at 6.00am for training? I know some will say it is testing discipline but it sounds more like training soldiers to go to Afghanistan than train for a game of football. His lack of respect for people and teams also has to be questioned. Why say in the press that Aberdeen were no longer the second force before you have kicked a ball. His blast in the press about MOH and Forrester also have signs of a total disrespect for his players.. I backed PLG from beginning to end but Pedro just showed total self ego for me and was willing to belittle players to feed on it. He should have gone long before he did.

They do that in the Netherlands. The referee is interviewed on TV after the game and shown a recording of his decision and asked about it.
-
Normally it is 1 or 2 decisions per game for about 30 seconds that for me isn't a problem. In fact a lot of the time the Ref is checking while the ball is being retrieved and the players are getting into position.

Our Portuguese friends. I Know which one I would pull a few trickes to give a treat.

No! My next door neighbours wife's aunty knew that.

There was an incident in the Dutch cup a few weeks ago. Firstly there was a penalty claim for Vitesse (I think) that the referee denied. PSV went to the other end and scored with a ball that was hardly over the line. The referee gave the goal but asked for a video replay. He watched the goal first and saw the ball had crossed the line. then he watched the penalty incident and decided to give the penalty. He had to then chop off the goal and award a penalty. It did take a few minutes but he made the right decision in the end as it was a penalty.

Video referee is the answer so the referee is certain to be right. Then you can drop the compliance officer.
-
Yes on one side they say the Ref can get it wrong and on the other they say he seen it and dealt with it, he can't be wrong. I suppose they don't want every yellow card questioned so they put that rule in place.

Why is Broadfoot. not called up for stamping on toes feigning injury?
-
I don't think that is true it was Pena Miller was on about. Miller and Morelos play well together and Miller set up a couple of Morelos's goals.

Possibly I had never heard of the man until yesterday.

He is a Rangers supporting heavyweight politician.

PS unlike the idiots in Scotland the KNVB decided that it was better for Dutch football if Twenthe stayed in the Ere divisie.
-
You have to question his Dutch title and Twenthe are now paying the price for that mismanagement( Chairman not McLaren) just the same as Rangers are. Twenthe were a nod of the head away from not having a football licence and Bankruptcy at the beginning of last season. They are banned from Europe and possibly facing relegation unless Gert-Jan Verbeek their new manager can turn things around. They will certainly become top fit as that is his method.
-
If you have a leaking sink do you accept that or do you fit in a new rubber ring. It is indeed the players that make the difference but it is up to the manager to create the best situation possible that the players are happy and playing well.It may well take a few managers before we have the right man but we cannot accept a poor Rangers just because the manager is a nice man.

Yes Moyes is the only one that gives me any hope. I hope if we have 150 applications though that we have better or younger more driven than him.
-
Taken from FF. Derek McInnes remains the preferred candidate of the board. Alex Neil has applied and is considered the backup, has some support from the board as well. Mark Allen's choice for the job is Steve McLaren. Over 150 applications including Moyes and Pardew. If admin need a source I can confirm.

You really are looking for stones to throw aren't you? It is good we have people that question things but it has to be controlled and fair criticism and not agenda seeking clutching at straws.

Ajax went down the 'only old players' thing two seasons ago with van der Sar, Bergkamp and Mark Overmars virtually running the club. They have done nothing but fight since. Bergkamp wanted Marcel Keizer as manager but v/d Sar and overmars wanted a more experienced coach. It has caused in room fighting and friction that intensifies with every defeat.

Unfair to say over a few games. You wanted Pedro to have years.
