If it is McInnes then I will get behind him but when he spouts pish like Aberdeen were the better team in the first-half and Rangers were only dangerous at set plays then I seriously doubt his vision of the game. Rangers scored a goal from open play and if I remember right Lewis had about 3 wonder saves from open play

Commons is an arsehole!

I think the keeper should be nearer the corner with a ball like that. The chance that it will be put in the other top corner is virtually nil and even if it is put there the ball has a far greater distance to travel and so you will have far more time to get across. Foderinhams placement is not good and he gives himself too much to do. I actually ask if you want such a big wall when the kick is so far out. I think I would have 2 men as I would rather see the ball.

Watch Pena, he chases down but never tackles. He is playing quite good though.

Aberdeen 0 - 3 Rangers Miller 79′ 81′Dodoo 83′ Bookings Jack 4′Taylor 24′Shinnie 33′ Garner 4′Holt 53′ Wes Foderingham James Tavernier David Bates Danny Wilson Beerman, Jason Holt Kenny Miller A lot of the team that won 3-0 last season so have faith in young David

I read on another forum it is Bates that is playing. Is Cardoso injured? I am nog sure whether it was someone in the know though or a guess.

Not putting Rangers to blame but we have built a total new stadium. Why was this not taken into account back then? I am not pointing this question at you Gonzo just in general.
-
Totally agree with this and after being with FS for a day this is not just at football stadiums but in our everyday life. It certainly opened my eyes to the problem. Entry to buses, trains and Restaurants and pubs where the toilets are up a flight of stairs. Any building planning permission should now take wheel chair use into account.

I won't disagree with that totally but transfers for more money have always taken place.

He did try to play the high press at times but I think he saw pretty quick he did not have the players for it and we ended up caught in no man's land with a chaotic sometimes well sometimes not system . I also ask about our fitness as we could only play 45 minutes. Warburton played far more the high press and ball retention but he never had players with a cutting edge. I think it a shame Warbuton never improved the team as I much preferred his system. Rogers has Celtic playing that way with better players. The question with that one is did Warburton not want to buy players or did King turn off his money tap?
-
I agree the money is stupid and possibly unsustainable. The bubble will burst one day just like the banks. I disagree that players today try less or care less than the old days. I would even say they are far more athletes now than they were back then.

I still love the old John Greig V-neck. I don't like the 92-94. I don't like the big white shoulders. I would also love us to go back to the sky blue and white striped reserve tops or an orange strip.(Nothing to do with orange religion wise)

Did you miss the union flag?

Former Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha confirmed as new Cruz Azul manager
pete replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Agree. I really liked him as a person and the press conferences will also be more boring without him. -
Your right! Chaos is also a style. Kids even walk about with ripped trousers these days.
-
I actually thought PC had no idea what style he wanted and neither did the players. I actually think that was his downfall that he didn't have a scooby what way to play.
-
Granite City- stoned I like the pun.
-
Soon he will be a £40 million player at this rate even if he doesn't kick a ball.

This week I was really surprised about how the Rangers AGM(Annual General Meeting) was approached by some of the supporters. Some were pleading for entry tickets to see what they thought would be the AGM to beat all AGM's. Now I don't know if it is the cynic in me but my opinion of AGM's is that they end up with a lot of boring cods-wollop and speeches that most politicians would be proud of. Questions that are thought to be gut wrenching questions are simply danced around with the nimbleness of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. Dave king and Stewart Robertson performed the Danza de los Viejitos which translated from Mexican to English, is the dance of the little old men. What apt! Things could have been a lot more uncomfortable for Mr King and Mr Robertson though if there had not been an AGM on the previous evening. With that I don't mean Annual General meeting but: Aberdeen Getting Mauled. That was the real shock. After the two previous defeats against Hamilton and Dundee, both lodged in the bottom half of the league, the Rangers players put in a super display. In all the prediction leagues most Rangers fans had forecast a Rangers win but these were made more out of loyalty than really believing that Rangers would hammer Aberdeen. Graeme Mutry had made a few changes with Bruno Alves returning to the central defence and carlos Pena coming in to an attacking midfield role. In the absence of Alfredo Morelos Kenny Miller moved into the main striker role. Looking at the team with Alves McCrorie and Wilson it looked like Rangers were setting up for a three man central defence. I am sure Aberdeen also set up for that scenario. Surprisingly Ross McCrorie had moved forward into the defensive midfield role. What a game he had in that position. An old head on young shoulders. Rangers dominated the play. Those players that looked like whimps in the last two games were all of a sudden bullies. They won almost every second ball. This Rangers team had turned into an Aberdeen Gubbing Machine. Even Carlos Pena made a fifty yard chase to catch an Aberdeen player. I will admit that he didn't quite make it and it was Ross McCrorie who sprinted past him as if he was standing still that made the challenge. What it did though was kill all the rumours, or is it myth, that he could not run five yards without grabbing a Corona beer and a Tequila Sunrise. Pena played brilliant in the first half but after the break it was obvious he was starting to struggle. Rangers won 3-0 and were totally dominant and that was a shock to most of us. On Sunday we have to go to Pittodrie to play Aberdeen again. Wednesday's game was a rearranged fixture due to both teams playing in the league cup semi-final. What does Murty do? Does he go with the same shape or does he try and pull another surprise? Derek McInnes has now had time to analyse the game and reshape his team to suit the purpose.Aberdeen will also be out for revenge. Personally I would not change things as I think we have a strong defence and McCrorie Jack and Holt make a pretty strong midfield. In saying that if Morlos is fit I would play him instead of Kenny Miller. Under Mark Warburton the famous saying was “play plan A better” My advice to Graeme Mutry would be “play plan B” the same. Hopefully we will go out and show the same fight. Show the same confidence on and off the ball. Play as a team that looks like they are all pulling in the same direction. Then Just Win. I think the team will be the same as Wednesday unless Morelos is fit. Foderingham Tavernier Alves Wilson John. McCrorie Holt Jack Windass Pena Morelos\Miller All rumours are that Derek McInnes will join us next week. That is a crazy situation. If there is a minuscule bit of truth in that then it really is crazy Aberdeen are keeping him in his position. I hope they are on blow up and we are on blow them up. I would say more of the same please.

Match Preview Schedule 2017/18 (All writers welcome)
pete replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
They can't see anything serious but they are getting in touch with Rotterdam to see If they want him sent there. So I may have a 4 hour return drive later today or tomorrow. Hopefully Rotterdam are happy with the tests they did here and they keep him here. I doubt they will let him go today but hopefully tomorrow If everything is ok. -
Match Preview Schedule 2017/18 (All writers welcome)
pete replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Sorry guy's I had started a preview but my son has been rushed into hospital so I can't get one written today as I am only on the phone and will be at the hospital most of the day. Hopfully it is only preventative and he will be released later or tomorrow morning. If nobody else van do one today I will try and do one for tomorrow. -
Someone on another website said that every time Murty picked up the phone McInnes did as well.
-
i blame Pena for us not having clean sheets.
-
To be honest I don't think Rangers could have pulled this off if Alves and McCrorie were not so dominant. Some of the long balls from Alves were millimetre perfect.
-
I totally disagree with that. Miller was pulling the Aberdeen defence all ways allowing room for the midfielders to get in behind. Herrera is a totum-pole and so simple to mark.
