  1. Probably nearer the mark.
  2. I am not sure that McCrorie can bring what Jack does so I doubt that We can afford three such advanced players. I think our midfield may be over-run with that set-up given that Windass and Pena couldn't tackle a fish supper and don't. Putting Barjonas in though would probably be not attacking enough.
  3. He is well respected in the Dutch media and along with John van der Schip thought to be the next Generation of good Dutch managers. Utrecht is never going to be a champion winning team though so he cannot be judged on that account. Is he right for rangers. If we want a young in-experienced manager with a good reputation to build on. He certainly has more experience than Neil MCann or the boy at St Mirren who have been named as candidates. Will he leave Utrecht for Rangers is another Question. They also have a chance to be in Europe next season. I think the Ajax manager will be sacked soon so he may hang around for that gig. I think Koeman will be the Dutch manager as I said in another post and I doubt Ajax want de Boer back as he would clash with Erwin van der Sar Dennis Bergkamp and Marc Overmars the Technical managers. Ten Hag would probably be a candidate for that job. The last bit is speculation and Marcel Keizer may survive at Ajax as he is a puppet for Bergkamp and Overmaars. Van der Sar was against the managerial choice. It depends on results the same as ever.
  4. Well what a week it has been. If we take the first game against Aberdeen into account, I will make that, what a last week and a half it has been. Whipping the Ovis aries commonly known as the Sheep 3-0 at Fort Brox (How I wish it was a fort) and then travelling up to Aberdeen for a little chewing of the cud by beating them 2-1 in their own sparsely habited Pittodrie stall.Even although we were down to ten men after an hour played, the players showed a character that we could only have dreamed about a few months ago. Ryan Jack got sent off for getting to the ball first and getting a pass away but was unfortunate to unintentionally land on the incoming leg of Stevie May who had pulled out of a 50\50 tackle. Now I am not going to say he shit it but there were more sheep droppings behind him than can be found on the Shetland Islands. Willie Collum all of a sudden got his animals mixed up and thought he was a matador waving his red card like he was fighting a bull. It is of course a trait by Mr Collum as he gives out more cards than any other referee in the top division in Scotland. In fact he probably produces more cards than Moonpig.com. Ryan Jack had been outstanding up until that point and will certainly be a big miss when we take to the field on Saturday to face Ross County at Ibrox. Rangers appealed Ryan's red card but it was rejected leaving him with a 3 match ban. Character is the word I would use for the last two games. We saw fight and determination that we had not previously seen from this team. I have often said there is no player willing to bust a gut trying to get to a ball. Josh Windass proved me wrong with his goal to put us 2-0 up. He did bust a gut to get in front of Shay Logan and turn a fantastic low cross from Daniel Candeias into the net. Aberdeen scored just two minutes later from a lovely free kick leaving us still with almost thirty minutes to keep our lead. Now I am not one to get into global warming but I think the Rangers supporters were guilty of the high production of Methane gas for that last thirty minutes.Thankfully we held out for the 2-1 win and jumped over Hibs and Aberdeen to the second place in the league. Character, that is it. But! One character who won't be in the Rangers dugout this Saturday is Derek McInnes. After six weeks of speculation Rangers finally made a move for him. Aberdeen rejected us permission to talk to him. It flew around the social media that McInnes would resign to talk to Rangers and then. The news broke that he wanted to stay at Aberdeen. I have no problem with that as everybody eventually finds a level they are comfortable with. Rangers is a goldfish-bowl where every move is dissected and you have to be up to that. Derek and his family obviously weren't. Now I don't feel sorry for Rangers or Aberdeen. I don't feel sorry for Derek McInnes but I do feel sorry for the wee woman that has spent the whole week embroidering DM on 7 polo shirts 7pairs of shorts, 7 tracksuit tops 7 tracksuit bottoms 3 Ski hats and a body warmer for the TV. Going seriously further, the winning tactical move by Murty was playing Ryan McCrorie in the defensive midfield role. That released Ryan Jack to a more advanced position and it suited him far better. Ross McCrorie and Ryan Jack were outstanding in the two games against Aberdeen. Due to Jack's red card he is now missing for the next three games against Ross County Hibs and St Johnstone. At this moment I have no Idea who will be covering for Jack in that midfield role as his natural replacement would be Graham Dorrans but he is still on the injury list. Foderingham will be in goals, you can bet your house on that. Tavernier will hold his right back spot but then it starts to get more difficult to complete the back four. If Alves is fit he will play but if not it is a choice between Wilson Cardoso and Bates for the central role. Bates was man of the match against aberdeen so it is difficult to see past him. I think he will go for Bates and Wilson with Declan John remaining at left back and the unfortunate Cardoso on the bench, McCrorie will again fill in in the defensive midfield role. The big problem is who will fill in for Jack? I think the midfield will be McCrorie Candeias Holt Pena and Windass but this does look a bit lightweight in the middle of the park as Pena and Windass are not the most defensive minded players, and we have lost out with that formation already against Dundee and to a lesser extent Hamilton. Baronjas and Kranjcar are other options but the last time Kranjcar came on the park he just didn't look fit. Baronjas is still young but has put in good displays before. I doubt he will be proffered over Candeias Pena or Windass though. Unfortunately for Morelos it looks like Kenny Miller is a first pick in the team no matter how he plays so our top scorer will have his bum planted on the bench. I think the team will be. Foderingham Tavernier Bates Wilson John McCrorie Candeias Holt Windass Pena Miller Ryan jack has a three game ban. We are going again for that elusive three wins in a row yet again. so I am going for a 3-0 win and our new manager to be named on the 3rd of January. C'mon the Gers!!!
  5. Hen ten Cate would probably jump at the Rangers job and I wouldn't mind that as he has a lot of experience with big clubs.
  6. I see that Ronald Koeman has entered the betting. I will say Bullshit. First of all we could not pay his wages, secondly I will be shocked if he is not named as the Dutch coach soon. I am not only speaking from my own thoughts but also the Dutch media.(I will never learn) Why? Well Louis van Gaal would be first choice but he is getting too old and has said he is not interested and I doubt he will change his mind. Dick Advocaat: He said he wanted the job and they knocked him back and let him and Gullit go. I doubt the KNVB will embarrass themselves by doing a u-turn and asking him to take over I think he would now tell them to P-off, although Dick is money generated and may be bought. Ronald de Boer: He has said he is not interested at this time in his career and wants to be a club manager. Henk ten Cate: Before they asked Advocaat to take over lwhen they sacked Danny Blind they had already offered the job to ten Cate and then days later told him sorry you are dropped for Dick Advocaat. He was fuming so I doubt if he would talk to them. Gullit: Not deemed fit for a 1st coach. Ron Jans: Now technical director at Groningen. I would love him for the Rangers job as he is tactically astute and has always kept smaller clubs flying high winning cups along the way but I doubt the KNVB will be looking at him. He may be a lower placed choice though. Unless they go for a younger manager that is about the list of candidates. The younger managers in Holland are pretty in-experienced and I doubt they are in the picture yet. The Dutch normally don't want a foreign manager and Blind as an inexperienced manager was a disaster although they may have look foreign or inexperienced if Koeman knocks back the job as he is the only realistic Dutch candidate. Koeman said he didn't want the job when he was at Everton but now that he is unemployed things will probably be different. I don't see any other option for them and he is their preferred candidate.
  7. Couple of months? The turn of the year is only 23 days. It is 6 difficult games though including Celtic Motherwell and Hibs so they could make or break Mutry.

  11. PARK LIFE Rangers get the go-ahead to build new training complex for youth players at Auchenhowie which will include a stand for fans to watch Gers starlets The club submitted an application to East Dunbartonshire Council earlier this year and it has now been granted by planning officials Pictured By Stuart MacDonald 7th December 2017, 11:57 am Updated: 7th December 2017, 12:07 pm RANGERS have been given the go-ahead to build a new training complex for their youth players. The Ibrox club applied to construct the new building at their Auchenhowie training ground in Milngavie, East Dunbartonshire. Pressteam An artist’s impression of the training complex The complex will feature a stand for fans The complex will feature a stand for fans They said it was needed to create more room for young players as space was restricted at their current building. The back of the new 216 metres squared complex will include a stand for spectators to watch youth games held at Auchenhowie and new floodlights will also be erected. The club submitted an application to East Dunbartonshire Council earlier this year and it has now been granted by planning officials. In a letter to the council, the club’s architect Scott Hammond explained the need for the new building. A planning application was submitted earlier this year Pressteam A planning application was submitted earlier this year He said: “It will simply provide more space for changing; the existing accommodation is currently severely restricted. “The facility will alleviate the club’s existing logistical problems but will not result in an increased volume of cars or spectators. Auchenhowie, formerly known as Murray Park, was opened in 2001 “It is intended to allow the club to manage capacity issues resulting in a significantly improved experience to develop their young players. “The youth games are played predominantly on a Saturday and Sunday between 10.30am and 5.00pm. There are occasional midweek matches. “The key point is that the introduction of the new facility will not increase the number of games already played and hence it is anticipated that the volume of traffic and spectators will remain the same as it has done for many years.” In a written report, the local authority said: “Having taken account of all material considerations the proposal is considered to be acceptable. “The proposal is compatible with its surrounds in terms of land use, design and scale and will not cause any unacceptable impact to the surrounding environment or closest properties.” The £14 million training complex was opened in July, 2001, and was named after previous owner Sir David Murray. It includes six full size pitches, two half size pitches, a practice area, a synthetic indoor pitch and the training centre housed within a 38-acre site. Last year current Rangers chairman Dave King asked fans to submit suggestions for a new name for the training ground. He said was now referred to within the club as “Auchenhowie” – the area of Milngavie in which it sits. https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/1941169/rangers-new-training-complex-auchenhowie-stand-fans-youngsters/#
  12. The referee's can't send him off for 3 weeks they will have withdrawal symptoms.
  13. As it says. Three match ban.
  14. He was never a defensive mid though. He has really come to life now that he is playing more advanced.
  15. Ladbrokes Premiership - Friday Dundee v Aberdeen - Nick Walsh (BT Sport, 7.45pm) Ladbrokes Premiership - Saturday Hamilton Academical v St Johnstone - Craig Thomson Heart of Midlothian v Motherwell - Andrew Dallas Kilmarnock v Partick Thistle - Barry Cook Rangers v Ross County - Euan Anderson
  16. Yes I remember they used to call an exotic dancer a stripper.
  17. It was a protestant school.
  18. The people that invented money, work and the alarm clock should have been hung drawn and quartered. I would happily run around the woods with my spear looking for swine and collecting wood. Today people can't see the woods for their smart telephones. Most of the world have become little piggies. The big boys are up there scraping up the fodder while keeping the little piggies happy with their Iphones and Galaxies.
  19. I am not saying certain judges may be inclined to give a Rangers supporter a heavier sentence but you can only really judge when all sentences are from the same judge. Some judges just give stiffer sentences than another. I had the belt from 2 male teachers when I went to school. One had a thin belt and he hit us really soft because he hated punishing kids in that way. The other had a belt he called Excaliber that was so thick it stood erect without bending. He really went out to hurt you as well and if you pulled away you got double. Your hands stung for ages after getting belted You would need to look at every judge individually over a number of cases involving all supporters groups to see if he has a bias.
  20. I am afraid I won't defend this one. You don't get 20 police convictions if you are a nice guy. As Boabie says he deserved all he got.
  21. With PC we got a horrible surprise maybe wit DM we will get a nice surprise and the world will be bright and Rosy. One thing is certain we cannot take the last two games into account to judge him. I do feel a bit Rotten for Mutry though. I think he should be applying for Managers jobs at other clubs before a managers role passes him by. I can't believe Aberdeen have gone for McGhee.
  22. Price hikes are almost everywhere. In Holland the VAT on food is going from 6 to 9% and last year the top VAT went from 19 to 21%. They have promised lower income-tax but only the well paid will really benefit from that. Given that the oil price is again in the lift and Electric and gas are going to be far more expensive to cover the costs of the Paris Climate agreement. Health care insurance is hiked almost every year then we are certainly going to have to tighten our belts.
  23. The thing is Rangers have now based the whole footballing vision right through from the youths to the first team. That is not really the system that McInnes has adopted in the past. The question is will the dog shake it's tail or will the tail shake the dog?
  24. Anderlecht missed a few sitters in the first half that could have given them a chance.
  25. His confidence seems to be sky high and I know I will get a Rousseau Gif:) but I feel the players are now far fitter than they were under PC. That worries me with McInnes as well because Aberdeen looked like they were a yard short of us. I don't think that Windass would have made that run for his goal on Sunday a few weeks ago.
