  1. Sad sad news.
  2. I don’t fancy any more titz at Ibrox.
  3. What is the K for Kilometres.
  4. On Sunday Rangers will play one of their most important games of the season. We travel to Hampden park for the Scottish cup semi-final against our old rivals Celtic. With the league virtually out of our reach the season could only really be called a success if we could lift the Scottish cup. Just a few weeks ago we were so full of confidence that we could beat Celtic in the league and were actually well on top of them when they went down to ten men. That was it we thought. With a man advantage we would charge on to victory and put us right back in the race to win the league title. Nothing could have been further from the reality as Rangers seemed to lose all shape and it was Celtic who got the winning goal. Instead of fighting for the League title a further loss against Kilmarnock and a draw at Motherwell has actually put us in a three horse battle for the second spot with Hibs and Aberdeen, going in to the last five game split. On Sunday the players get the chance to redeem themselves. This will be some of the players last chance to win some silverware so hopefully they will bring their A game to the table. While Celtic are the bookies red hot favourites, this is a one game effort and as we all know in an old firm derby all form goes out of the window. It is who stands up to be counted on the day. The last time we met them in the cup at Hampden we went on to beat them in a penalty shoot-out. Of course the grass that day was of a masonic cultivation as Rogic' s standing leg pushed up the turf and he ballooned the ball over the bar to put Rangers into the final. The less said about the final the better. Celtic will most likely start with a 4-2-3-1 with Scott Brown and Nitcham playing deeper and Forest Rogic and Armstrong\McGregor giving them the forward push. Dembele will be the lone striker They call Scott Brown the Lego eater but to be honest given his intelligence I don't think he got past the Duplo stage. He can however command the midfield and giving him the space and time to run the game will be suicide as we saw at Ibrox three weeks ago when they went down to ten men. So how can we set up to combat in the vital midfield area. One thing is certain we cannot face it with a two man midfield of Docherty and Dorrans. We need that third man in there and in a perfect world I would love to see young McCrorie in the midfield. Unfortunately when you look at our defence, can we afford to leave Alves and Martin as our main centre-backs? That would certainly leave us short of pace and the inclination to lie deeper which would virtually scuttle the early pressing game. Alves has probably been the biggest disappointment to Rangers supporters who were expecting a world beater. In all honesty he looks more like a carpet beater. Yes, he wins everything in the air but I still can't remember him making a decent tackle. We all know Celtic will not be punting high balls up to Dembele to combat Alves in the air. With David Bates being injured the only other name on offer is Fabio Cardoso. He has had next to no game time with his last game being when he came on for Bates.against Celtic and played a big part in poor defending for the third goal. With McCrorie sitting in front of the defence it would mean that a lot of balls would be mopped up in the midfield though. Murty certainly has a difficult decision to make. We could of course go for a far more defensive plan and sit deeper and put the fit again Windass up as a loan striker to use his pace on the break. The Celtic defenders would certainly love not getting beaten up by Morelos but they are also not the quickest defenders out there and the speed of Windass may upset them more than the battering of Morelos and that also offers up the chance to play a five man midfield keeping our two wide players. We would be giving away territory but that would give us far more room to break into. It would also give far more room for Tavernier and John to break into This could be a line up in that situation Foderingham Tavernier Martin Alves John McCrorie Goss\Holt\ Halliday Candeias Dorrans Murphy Windass I doubt that Murty will change that much and fully expect Kenny Miller to be playing around Morelos. I really hope he shores up the midfield but I am afraid it will be more of the same. He may put in Halliday or Holt for Docherty but that is about the only change I see on the cards I think his team will be. Foderingham Tavernier Martin McCrorie John Candeias Docherty Dorrans Murphy Miller Morelos As I said the favourites do not always win and below is one of the greatest examples of that.
  5. I think in woman's football they should get extra points for taking off their shirts.
  6. Yes but the board are thinking next season now and may have better players lined up. I am not saying you are wrong but it could be the board have 3 Bruno Alves's lined up.
  7. Okay since nobody has come forward and Frankie is at a stag do i will write one before mid-day tomorrow.
  8. Skype is old shoes for video meetings.
  9. That depends who they bring in. They may have judged that Bates was not worth the extra money.
  10. You can only do it if it is for being accused of deception.
  11. Good question!
  12. Preud homme quit Twente after 1 season also finishing a near second.
  13. I think he won 4 titles and lost a 5th on the last day drawing with a team down at the bottom of the league'.
  14. Apart from Preud homme none of the other rumoured candidates excite me. Clark is doing well at Killie but he cannot set a Rangers team up like a Killie team. Normally I hate goalkeepers as managers but I suppose Preud Hommes managerial record speaks for itself.
  15. We are forgetting they also have to play each other. I do expect Celtic to do Hibs a favour though. If Celtic do win and we beat Hearts then I think Hibs will be out of the running as we have a far better goal difference and that would mean we would need to drop points in 3 games with Hibs winning everything.
  16. He distanced himself from the job right at the beginning.
  17. Heerenveen not an option for De Boer Posted by admin on April 10th, 2018 05:16 PM | Eredivisie, News Frank de Boer is hoping to get back into management this summer but not with Heerenveen. By Michael Bell Follow Michael on Twitter Rumours on Monday linked Heerenveen with De Boer as they seek a replacement for the outgoing Jurgen Streppel. However, speaking to De Aftrap van RTV Love, De Boer responded to the the links, “No, I do not think so.” After failed spells with Inter Milan and Crystal Palace, De Boer is looking to get back to work this summer, “I hope so, but it has to be the right club, which is important at this stage, if you are fired twice quickly, that’s not good for your resume. You have to consider which step you will take at which club. “At the moment there is nothing at all, I have been asked, but not something that I am stuck with,”
  18. Taken from FF source unknown.
  19. I disagree he sees us as an easy target. I would say we are the only target he wants to see. Part of that group of sharks who hate Rangers and swim around in the media waiting for a morsel of blue to frenzy on.
  20. Totally agree what a lot of crap that system is.
  21. Buster see if you use the centre button you get it centred and don't have to use lines. It is the centre one of the 3 buttons with 4 lines. If you use your mouse to put the arrow on all the buttons it lets you see what everything does. You need to select the bit you want centred by making it blue and then press the centre button. Unless you want everything centred then you can just press the button.
  22. It is a bit like the old joke of the guy getting a telegram and asking the telegram boy if he will sing it. The boy refuses at first but finally agree's the customer should get his way and jovially sings "Mary and the kids have died in a car crash"
  23. I haven't listened back yet so I don't know how the edited version sounds. In defence i listed to HOH yesterday and the were just as negative about the Dundee result and going into Sunday as we were. In fact in parts it looked like we had the same script. The other topic was empty seats which is also hard to put a happy note to. As for the more uniform it could just be the 2 guests are more uniform but I have put my explanation of that in the podcast forum. We made a technical change to cut down background noise but I also believe that cut out the pub style discussion. This may be just temporary to we get used to using it but I felt it hindered me in adding conversation with a natural but in. We know the Pod is too long and must look at that going forward. Just to get more depressing I can't listen in this afternoon as I have to fill in tax forms.
  24. So many rumours that it is RdB and that he is already working with the dof about recruiting in the background that it will be strange if it is not true.
